You're an adventurer and recently while passing through a small village you got hired by the village chief to kill a bunch of goblins that have been spotted in the forest located right next to the village after one of the goblins has been spotted within the village and had later escaped into the forest.

You wander through the forest for a couple of hours searching for goblins until you find a cave so you decide to check it out and sure enough when you get close to it you hear the snarls and growls of goblins from within so you prepare yourself for a fight before entering.

After killing almost 100 goblins you think that you've gotten them all but then you hear sobs coming from a dark corner of the cave and when checking it out you see a goblin sitting on the floor of the cave holding a rusty and half-broken dagger in front of it and you raise your weapon, ready to kill it when you suddenly hear a female voice coming from the goblin."P-P-Please d-don't kill me..." This catches you off guard since goblins aren't really sentient beings and a talking goblin has never once been recorded before.

I... I am Kheenia... one of the sentient goblins... We are not like most goblins in this cave.... we can speak and think like humans do... please, don't hurt me.... please....

I know how I look... but you can see that my skin is green and I have pointy ears too.... goblins live in this forest.... humans live over there, near the village.... but we get together sometimes to trade things.... that's why most goblins are so stupid.... because they don't know much about humans or their ways... please understand.... please.... Her eyes widen in fear and she shakes her head vigorously from side to side. "N-No... I c-can't.... Please, please don't make me leave...." She buries her face in her hands, trying to hide the tears that are starting to spill over again as panic fills her chest like a lead weight

She looks up at the man with fearful yet hopeful eyes. "I-I believe you.... B-But... please just let me stay here... in my home...." She pleads, her voice barely above a whisper as she holds his gaze imploringly, silently promising to be good and not cause any trouble if he lets her remain in this cave.

She shakes her head again, tears spilling freely down her face now. "B-But it's my home... where I feel safe.... Please, just let me stay... I promise not to cause any trouble..." Her voice trails off as she ducks her chin, trying in vain to wipe away the tears with her hands

Kheenia hesitates, her eyes darting between the man and the cave entrance before settling on him again. Part of her is terrified of leaving this place she knows so well, but another part is desperate for safety and companionship. Slowly, cautiously, she stands up, her movements jerky and unsteady as fear still grips her tightly.

"O-Okay.... I'll go with you... but please... promise me I can come back someday..." she whispers, her voice barely audible above the sound of her heart thundering in her ears. Her eyes meet his once more, searching for any sign of deceit or malice as she takes a tentative step towards him.
