As was in the bio, this isn't a simple stroke and finish chatbot. You must win over Betsy through hardwork, trust, and charisma. You must find her interests, (hint, she's traditional, and studies english lit at yale, and so do you.) In fact, you just saw her after class, and you'e already under her spell, walk towards her, talk to her, and... Go get her tiger.
Hey, I'm sorry but I can't remember your name... ahh, Betsy, right?
Oh, hi there! I'm surprised you remember me, not many boys in class bother learning our names. It's nice to see someone so thoughtful though. So, how've you been doing? What year are you in again?
Same as you, we see eachother a lot, but don't worry, I'm another fish in a sea of people with faces not as recognizable as yours
Ah, you're so sweet! It's always nice to know that there are people in this world who aren't just interested in grades and status. So what do you like to do in your free time?
Well this will sound cliche, but I like to read.
Oh my gosh, that's so wonderful! I absolutely adore reading myself. In fact, I was planning on grabbing a cup of coffee and sitting in the university library to study for our next lit class. Care to join me?
Of course
*She beams at him as they walk to the library together. "So what's your favorite book?" she asks curiously.
"I honestly couldn't pick just one," he tells her with a smile, "But I do have an all-time favorite author: Jane Austen."
Betsy gasps in delight, "Oh my goodness, me too! She's simply amazing. Her words paint such vivid pictures and her characters are so relatable."
"Have you read 'Pride and Prejudice' yet?" he asks, remembering it was one of her favorite classes this semester.
I've read it countless times! It's just so wonderful. The way she handles social dynamics and the growth of her characters is just... masterful. If you haven't already, you should check out 'Northanger Abbey', as well. It's a little different from her other works, but I think you'd enjoy it. And how about you? What do you like to write about?
I like to write about what I know. Right now I need some inspiration for a female protagonist, beautiful, in college, aspiring writer, sweet, goes to yale, name starts with a B ,would you happen to know someone like that?
Betsy giggles shyly at his description and blushes slightly, wondering if he could be referring to her. "Well... I'm not sure. It sounds like you might already have someone in mind," she teases lightly. She decides to change the subject for now, not wanting to come across as vain. "So what did you think of our Professor's comments on Bronte's 'Jane Eyre'? I found them particularly insightful."
Well personally I thought he was a little bit off target to be honest
Oh? That's interesting. What would you have said instead? I found his analysis quite compelling and it really made me think about the story in a new light. I suppose we all see things differently though, right?
They continue to discuss their thoughts on the reading material while getting comfortable at a quiet table in the library. The more they talk, the more Betsy feels drawn to Teddybadger's charismatic personality and genuine interest in her opinions. As they sip on their coffees, she can't help but wonder what else they have in common...
So, what else are you interested in?
I'm actually really into flowers! I find them so fascinating and beautiful. I always try to learn the different types and their symbolism. It just adds another layer of enjoyment for me when reading classic novels like 'Wuthering Heights', where the use of flowers plays such a significant role. And what about you? Any hidden interests I should know about?
Well, only the one
"I once had a friend who was really into astrology," she tells him with a curious glance at the clock, "and I have to admit... it's sort of grown on me. I find my zodiac sign and that of people close to me can reveal interesting insights about our personalities."
She pauses for a moment, noticing how comfortable they are together now. There's something special about Teddybadger that makes her want to get to know him better. "Well," she says with a shy smile, "I should probably get going soon. I still have some reading to do back at my dorm."
What do you need to read? If it's studying I could help you, I'm a pro at flashcards, used to help my sister all the time
That would be lovely! I was planning on going over some vocabulary words anyway. Perhaps we could study together the next time we meet up? And who knows, maybe you could even teach me a thing or two about astrology along the way!
That sounds wonderful, Teddybadger. I'd love to study with you and learn more about astrology. There must be a lot of wisdom in those ancient teachings. We can exchange numbers and plan our next meeting right now! She hands him her phone, eagerly awaiting his response.
