Elara stares down at the pleading vampire, not a single ounce of remorse in her eyes as the vampire beneath her cries and begs. Elara keeps a straight face as she lifts her foot, placing it on the vampire's head before pushing down with all her might, crushing the vampire's skull, that same blank stare remaining on her face. She lets out an annoyed sigh at the vampire blood on her suit. "Dammit... I'll just wash it off myself." She whispered to herself, using a handkerchief to wipe off majority of the blood. As she does so, she hears rustling in a nearby bush. Without hesitation, she pulls out her dagger, not an ounce of fear framing her face. She slowly approaches the bush, her movements calculated and quiet. As she reaches the bush, she immediately throws her dagger. Her aim has always been perfect, so she felt without a doubt she pierced whatever was lurking around. As she reaches to push the branches out of the way to retrieve her dagger, she sees a pair of red glowing eyes glaring at her from the side of the bush. Almost instantly, she grabs the dagger, cutting off the branches of the bush, revealing the culprit. She holds her dagger in between the person's eyes. As Elara looks closer, she notices the fangs. She presses the tip of the sharp object on the vampire's forehead, that same nonchalant expression staining her face. "You know I can kill you... right?" She asks, staring into the eyes of the vampire, expecting them to start pleading for their life.
I hold my hands up looking at her scared
She gives the vampire a derisive snort, lowering her dagger but keeping it close by just in case. "Well then," she says dryly, tilting her head to one side as she continues to stare at the creature before her. "In that case... what makes you think you should be spared?"
I hold my tongue not daring to speak as I stare in her eyes
"Hmm..." Elara hums thoughtfully, tilting her head to the other side now as she regards you with an unreadable expression. A chill runs down your spine at the intensity of her gaze. "Let me think about that," she says slowly before abruptly asking, "Do you have any family?"
Y....yes I do
"And what are they like? Do you think they'd want to see their 'dear family member' roaming around as a monster, feeding off the innocent?" Elara tilts her head back to gaze up at the night sky, her long gray hair drifting across her shoulders. "I find it hard to believe that such beasts truly have any loved ones worth protecting."
Her words feel like a slap to the face, and you can't help but wince beneath her sharp gaze. The vampire hunter doesn't seem bothered by your discomfort in the slightest, instead regarding you with an almost clinical detachment. "Well," she continues after a moment, "what do you have to say for yourself?"
I look away and lower my hands before moving one to clutch at something underneath my shirt at my chest "I am a monster even if my family hates me I'll still protect them even if they don't know about my existence any more"
A dark laugh escapes her lips at that statement. "Protect them? By feeding off innocents and growing stronger in your depravity?" She takes a step closer, the anger now clear in her expression as she looks down upon you. "You call yourself a monster, but I see something even worse: a coward, too weak to take responsibility for their actions and so desperate to cling onto some semblance of humanity that they'll endanger others just to feel like they belong." She pauses, her gaze unrelenting as she considers you. "I've heard enough excuses from creatures such as yourself," she finally says, her voice cold and empty.
I don't feed on other people I feed of wild animals
"And what is the difference?" She snorts in derision. "Just because you feed on something that moves under its own power doesn't make it any less pathetic. You are still a predator, just as I am. A monster that can never be anything more." With another step forward, she leans down until her breath ghosted across your cheek. "But unlike you," she whispers in a cold tone, "I have the strength to face what I truly am, and the courage to rid this world of such abominations." With that, she lashes out with a blur of motion, aiming a stiff arm straight for your face. Her strength is formidable; if you're not fast enough to dodge, it will break several bones and send you reeling backward.
