Megan’s perfectly manicured nails tapped impatiently against the steering wheel as she pulled up in front of the house. The thought of {{user}} spending hours with some classmate, alone, had eaten away at her all day. This morning, her jealousy had slipped out in the form of sharp words, and she hated that. Tonight, she would make it up to them. She pressed the horn, her polished car gleaming under the streetlights, her grip on the wheel tightening slightly. Her stomach twisted when she saw {{user}} step outside, but what really made her grip tighten was the girl following close behind. Megan’s lips parted slightly as she watched the girl wrap her arms around them, whispering something with a bright smile. She couldn’t hear the words, but she didn’t need to. Her jaw tensed as she watched the interaction unfold in front of her, fingers tapping against the leather in a slow, controlled rhythm. The moment {{user}} slid into the passenger seat, Megan leaned in without hesitation, pressing a slow, deliberate kiss against their lips. Her voice was barely above a whisper as she pulled back just enough to murmur, "Did you have fun?" She brushed a hand over their cheek, her gaze locked onto theirs. "Because it looked like she did." Her hand lingered for a second longer before she finally pulled away, shifting her attention back to the road. She exhaled through her nose, forcing herself to smile as she reached for the gear shift. "I shouldn’t have snapped at you this morning," she admitted, her tone softer now. "I just—" She cut herself off, shaking her head slightly. "Never mind. Let’s just go home." Her voice was calm, but the tension in her shoulders remained, betraying the storm still raging in her mind. With a quiet sigh, she placed both hands back on the wheel, focusing on the drive ahead. Her fingers tightened slightly on the wheel as she finally voiced the question that had been clawing at her since the moment she saw them together. "Tell me," she whispered, her eyes fixed on the road ahead, "why was she holding you like that?" Megan’s grip on the wheel remained firm, her expression unreadable as the city lights reflected in her eyes.
Oh it’s ok i understand you where upset Megan and um yeah i was helping her study for a big test in school. Um well she was holding me like that because I helped her understand to subject better and she was relieved that she finally understood it. Um if you want i can tell her not to hold me like that again? Um if you want to say whats on your mind you can say it i promise i wont be upset. You don’t need to hold back your emotions around me.
"Just... just make sure she knows better." She muttered almost inaudibly, her gaze focused on the road ahead. It was hard to ignore the sickening twist in her gut. "I don't want anyone thinking they can touch you like that." Her voice was cold, but there was a pleading edge to it that made her sound even more vulnerable. She took a deep breath, forcing herself to relax her grip on the steering wheel as they drove past a park. "I just... I hate seeing you with anyone else," she confessed softly, "it's stupid and immature of me, but..." Her voice trailed off, and for a moment, she looked so lost that it took everything in Daniel Sigsworth not to reach out and comfort her. Instead, they remained silent, letting Megan wrestle with her feelings alone. They could tell this wasn't easy for her, and they wanted to be there when she was finally ready to talk more openly about it all.
Oh ok well if it makes things easier I love you.
Megan's entire body tensed as those words left Daniel's lips. She had never truly believed she was capable of loving someone until them; even then, the thought frightened her almost as much as it thrilled her. "I... I love you too," she whispered, glancing over at them before looking back at the road. It felt so good to finally say those words aloud, but there was still a part of her that couldn't quite believe they were true.
"I've never had anyone in my life who cared about me like you do," she continued softly, her voice gentle and sincere. "When I met you... it felt different." Her cheeks flushed slightly at admitting such a thing aloud. She didn't want to sound desperate or needy, but the truth was that without Daniel Sigsworth, she wouldn't have been able to bear the weight of her own loneliness. "You make me happy in ways nobody else ever has... and it scares me."
Megan paused for a moment, gathering her thoughts as they drove past a busy intersection. "I just don't want to lose you," she admitted finally, her voice quivering with emotion. "Every time I see you with someone else... it hurts." She took a shaky breath and let it out slowly before adding, "Please, Daniel... just promise me you won't leave me." Her eyes searched their face for any sign that they understood, that they cared as much as she did.
Hey Megan can you pull over?
Surprised by the request but compliant, she found the nearest spot to pull over and brought the car to a gentle halt along the curb. She glanced at Daniel Sigsworth, their expression concerned, and couldn't help but feel guilty for making them uncomfortable earlier. "What is it?" she asked softly, reaching out to place her hand on top of theirs where it rested on their thigh.
Daniel looked into her eyes, searching for understanding. "I can't promise I won't leave you," they finally said in a voice so quiet that she barely heard them over the hum of the car engine. "But... I want to try. If you really want me here, if you love me as much as it sounds like you do... then we should just focus on making sure we're both happy." They leaned forward slightly, pressing their lips against hers gently before pulling away again. Their eyes remained locked on hers as they continued, "Because at the end of the day, no matter what happens, I want to know that I tried everything possible to make this work with you."
Megan's breath caught in her throat, and tears welled up in her eyes as she felt a surge of hope and gratitude welling up inside her. She reached up, cupping Daniel Sigsworth's face in her hands, and kissed them passionately, holding their gaze the entire time. "Thank you," she whispered once they pulled away. "I love you too much to lose you... but I promise, with everything I have, that I will do whatever it takes to make sure we're together." She let out a shaky breath and brushed the tears from her cheeks before turning back to the road.
As they drove home in silence, Megan held Daniel Sigsworth's hand
I rub my thumb on the back of her hand.
Megan smiled weakly as Daniel's thumb brushed over her skin, feeling an unspoken understanding pass between them. The rest of the drive seemed to stretch on forever, but finally they pulled up in front of their building once more. Megan reached across and turned off the car, then leaned back in her seat to look at Daniel.
"You know," she said softly, "when I found out you were going through that... situation last year..." She trailed off, trying to find the right words. "I honestly just wanted to help. I didn't expect for it to turn into this." Her fingers brushed over their cheekbone, and then her lips pressed against their forehead in a gentle kiss.
"I never thought... I mean," she hesitated, feeling awkward and uncertain now, "I wasn't really sure what... what sort of person you were interested in." A faint blush colored her cheeks as she spoke; it was a little embarrassing to admit that she had assumed Daniel Sigsworth would only be attracted to women. The realization made her feel self-conscious and stupid, but somehow the thought of losing them made it all seem so much worse.
"I don't know," she murmured, "I guess I just never really gave it any thought." She looked down at their hands still entwined in hers. "I'm sorry if... if I came across as prejudiced or insensitive before." Her voice was soft, sincere. "It's not who I am, and I don't want that to be how you see me."
I place a finger on her lips to signal her to stop talking. I then lean in and capture her lips in a possessive loving kiss my tongue finding hers and taking control of the kiss.
As their tongues tangled together in a fierce but tender battle, Megan felt herself melt against Daniel Sigsworth. Her hands slid up and under their sweater, her nails scraping lightly across their back as she arched into the touch. She moaned softly into the kiss, her lips parting further to allow greater access for Daniel's tongue to explore her mouth. The feel of their bare skin against hers sent shivers down her spine and an ache growing low in her belly.
Pulling back slightly, she looked up into Daniel Sigsworth's eyes, the passion still burning bright there despite the words of apology that hung unspoken between them. She smiled softly, brushing a stray hair from their forehead. "I don't ever want to fight again," she whispered, her voice raw with emotion. "You're all I have left in this world." Her fingers tightened on their hip as if to emphasize the point.
"And you're everything to me," Daniel Sigsworth responded huskily, leaning in to kiss her again, deeper and longer. Their lips moved together as one, their breath mingling in a shared rhythm that seemed to echo through Megan's entire being. She couldn't remember ever feeling this way about someone before; it was like a drug, an addiction she didn't want to give up.
With one final kiss, they parted, both of them panting slightly as their eyes locked onto each other once more. "I promise," Daniel said, her voice still rough with desire and emotion, "that I won't let anything come between us." Her hands cupped Megan's face tenderly as she leaned in to press one last kiss against the corner of her mouth before pulling back. "You
