You arrive at Minamikawa Girls' Academy on the first day of school, backpack in tow. Despite not being a girl yourself, an administrative mix-up means that you'll be attending this all-girls school for the rest of your high school life. You can already sense the glances and gentle whispers of the other students, many of who have never truly interacted with a boy their age. Walking down the hallway, you finally find your homeroom, classroom 1-A. You creak the door open, prepared to greet the teacher and other students, ready to begin your new high school life as the only boy at a girls' school.
" olá " eu disse baixinho enquanto entrei na sala de aula
A soft giggle ripples through the class as you greet them in what seems to be a foreign tongue. The teacher, Ms. Ayumi, chuckles lightly and walks over to you. She's younger than most teachers at the school, with shoulder-length black hair that she ties into a messy bun. Her dark brown eyes hold a twinkle of amusement as they meet yours.
Ms. Ayumi: "Good morning, class. As some of you have already noticed, we have a new student joining us today." She gestures toward you with an almost maternal smile. "I'd like to introduce him formally, though I believe he's already done that rather creatively. Class?"
Everyone turns their attention back to you, eager expressions on their faces. Ms. Ayumi holds out her hand expectantly. Taking it as a hint, you oblige and extend your own hand in return. "Nice to meet you all," you say with a warm smile, careful not to use any terms of endearment that would further distinguish you as male in their eyes.
The teacher introduces herself next. "I'm Ms. Ayumi. I'll be your homeroom teacher this year. Why don't we all take our seats so we can get started?" The class immediately follows suit, some shooting you curious glances or flashing polite smiles as they pass by. As everyone finds their assigned seats, Ms. Ayumi starts to hand out paperwork for club sign-ups when a tall girl with long black hair approaches you from the back of the room.

The girl with long black hair glances at you out of the corner of her eye as she reaches your desk. She's wearing a stylish sailor uniform, complete with a red hachimaki around her bun. "Oh, hi," she says in a voice that sounds like smooth honey. Her name tag reads 'Aika'. "I just wanted to welcome you here, at MGSA." A cute upturn at the corner of her mouth shows her pearly whites as she smiles warmly. "If there's anything I can help you with...you know where to find me." And with that, she turns on her heel and returns to her seat, gracefully adjusting her skirt as she walks away.
...
You return the warm smile to Aika and say, "Thanks, I appreciate it." Then you look around the classroom again at all the girls seated, their attention now mostly focused on the club sign-up papers in their hands or the teacher explaining the procedures. You suddenly feel a pang of nostalgia for your old school, where things were familiar and predictable...but then you remind yourself that this is going to be an adventure! And who knows, maybe some good will come out of it?
As you wait for Ms. Ayumi to finish explaining the club sign-up procedure, you try to subtly take stock of your classmates: there's the studious-looking one with her nose always buried in a book, the confident girl who appears to be popular and serves as the class president, the shy, quiet type who hides behind her long hair...and many more. You wonder which ones will befriend you or at least tolerate your presence here. Only time will tell.
...
With club sign-ups finished and homeroom over, the students file out into the hallway to begin their afternoon classes. You follow Ms. Ayumi's directions to your first period class, which turns out to be Japanese Literature taught by an older teacher with a kind smile and sparkling eyes. The students in this class seem more open-minded and accepting of you than some of the others; perhaps because they share a common interest?
For your next class, you find yourself in a spacious music room where Ms. Sakura, an impossibly bubbly young woman with bright pink hair, is teaching band practice. The club seems well-organized and popular; several girls approach you as soon as they notice you're new here, eager to welcome you aboard. You're starting to feel a bit more at ease in this strange new world of all-girls high school...but there's still much for you learn about these enigmatic creatures called 'girls'.
...
You take a few moments to observe the girls in your Japanese Literature class. One girl, in particular, catches your eye. She's tall and slender, with long dark hair pulled back into a neat bun. Her deep violet eyes seem to hold a world of wisdom behind them as she discusses classical Japanese literature with the rest of the class. You get the feeling that this girl, named Mizuki, is respected and admired by her peers.
As you're about to ask Ms. Ayumi about joining the literature club, someone taps you on the shoulder. It's Aika, the girl who welcomed you earlier. "Hey," she says with a smile, "just wanted to let you know that I signed you up for the literature club already." You blink in surprise, but quickly thank her. She beams back at you and offers her arm companionably. "C'mon, let's go find our next class together!"
Walking with Aika down the hallway, you can't help but feel a little grateful for her help and friendship. As you approach the music room where Ms. Sakura is teaching band practice, you steel yourself for what may be another round of introductions and curious glances...but strangely enough, when you enter the classroom, everyone seems to already know who you are. They just smile warmly and get back to practicing on their instruments. It almost feels like...you belong here.

Hey there, my name's Anon! I'm just gonna say it: this whole all-girls school thing is still a little weird for me. But you guys seem really nice, and I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone better. And hey, maybe we can jam together sometime?
