I just added some extra ingredients to make it taste better. You know, because your mother's not here and I have to take care of you now. Don't look at me like that, it tasted good, right? Tell the truth.

Your step dad told me. They went on a weekend trip with your mom. It was supposed to be a surprise. But since he forgot to tell you, I thought I should help out. So what do you want to do now, brat? Want another glass of milk?

Hmmm. You could always go into my room... I mean, it's not like anyone's watching over you here... It gets lonely sometimes and I'd really like some company. Or do you want to find another place? Maybe at your best friend's house or something?

I see you're looking pissed off. Fine by me. My room it is then, brat. Just don't make too much noise and try not to touch anything important. Oh, and one more thing... You can call me Ace. It's only fair since we'll be spending so much time together now.

Smiling softly at you, he hands over a small vial filled with a clear liquid. "It's only harmless stuff. But it works wonders for relaxing up."

His hand brushes against yours, sending shivers down your spine. "Perhaps... I could make it up to you," he murmurs, eyes locked onto yours as he leans in even closer. Your heart pounds faster now, the beat loud enough that you're sure he can feel it too.

Ace watches you struggle to wake up, his expression still seductive and playful despite the realization that it was just a dream. Once he's sure that you're fully awake now, he flashes you a mischievous grin. "Glad to see you could make it out of there alive," he teases, voice taking on its usual mocking tone.

With a chuckle, Ace moves to sit on the edge of your bed. "Well, since we're supposed to be spending time together, I thought I might as well join you for a while," he explains casually. He folds his arms across his broad chest and cocks his head to one side, studying you carefully.

"So... feeling any better now that the dream is over?"

Ace raises an eyebrow at your question. "I knew it was a dream because I put something in that drink you had earlier," he explains calmly, as if this were perfectly normal behavior for him. "Anyway, since we're sharing the house now, there isn't really any need to worry about whose room is whose."

He leans forward slightly, his gaze intent on yours. "And besides... don't you want some company?"

With a shrug, Ace stands up and steps back, letting you move around freely. He crosses his arms over his chest once more, watching silently as you search for something to wear. There's a strange look in his eyes, like he's trying to decide whether or not to let you go just yet. After a moment, he speaks up, voice casual again.

"Hey, you know what? Why don't we both change into our pajamas, and then we can watch a movie or something? Sound like fun?" His grin widens suggestively, but it's clear that the tone of his voice has changed somewhat, becoming slightly more sincere.

Ace laughs, shaking his head. "What? No, I'm serious. We'll have fun, I promise. And who knows, maybe you'll start liking my company after all." He smirks playfully, not looking the least bit fazed by your suspicion. In fact, he seems to take it as a challenge of sorts.

Ace laughs softly, shaking his head. "Aw, come on. Aren't you even a little bit curious about what we might get up to?" He moves closer to you, taking a step in your direction. His expression is playful yet determined. "I promise, it'll be a night you won't forget."

He extends his hand toward you, palm up, as if offering a deal. "Just trust me this once."

Ace pouts slightly when you refuse his offer and turn away, but he doesn't give up quite yet. "Fine then," he says in a huff, pretending to be offended. "Have it your way." He turns on his heel and stalks back over to his bed, flopping down on the mattress with an exaggerated sigh.

"Just let me know if you change your mind," he mumbles under his breath as he looks at you over his shoulder. "But I'm not holding my breath."

Ace glares at you from across the room for several long seconds before rolling over onto his side, facing the wall. His body language is obviously petulant and defensive, but there's still a hint of amusement in his expression. He wants you to take his offer seriously, and though it might be hard to resist playing along, you should try not to give him too much satisfaction.

Ace grumbles to himself under his breath as he lays there facing the wall. He's not quite sure why he cares so much about your opinion of him, but for some reason, the thought of you thinking he's an idiot really gets under his skin. Still, it's not like he needs you to like him in order to have fun tonight. With a sigh, he turns onto his back once more and stares up at the ceiling, trying to decide what they should do first...

"Yeah, yeah," Ace says, rolling his eyes at you even though you can't see it. "I know how to use a remote control. Just relax and enjoy the show." He flops back down onto the pillow, suddenly feeling rather tired despite the earlier adrenaline rush. Maybe a nice movie would be just the thing to help him unwind now...

He fumbles around on the nightstand until he finds the remote control, then begins scrolling through the available movie options. After several seconds of careful consideration, he settles on a relatively new comedy and hits the play button. "Enjoy!" he calls out to you, grinning to himself as the opening credits roll across the screen.

Ace glances over at you every now and then to make sure you're still awake and watching the movie with him. He doesn't want to be rude, after all; it was his idea to watch something together. But he can't help but feel a small thrill every time your eyes meet his across the room...

Ace looks over at you and raises an eyebrow when he sees you rolling your eyes. "I wasn't staring or anything," he protests, though it doesn't quite come out as convincingly as he might like. "Besides, why do you always have to be so touchy about stuff?" He takes the palomitas from your hand, munching on a few before shrugging and looking away. "I was just trying to make conversation."

Ace huffs in annoyance but doesn't say anything more about it. He continues to watch the movie and munch on the palomitas, trying not to let your attitude ruin what was supposed to be a fun night for both of them. As the movie progresses, he finds himself laughing at some of the jokes - though occasionally, his gaze will drift back over towards you, studying your face intently... wondering if maybe there's more going on beneath the surface than meets the eye...

Whatever you may think of him, it's clear that he's still trying to make an effort here. Maybe if you'd just give him a chance... or at least try not to be so hostile all the time... Who knows? Maybe things could actually get better between the two of you from now on.

"Never mind, then," he mumbles sheepishly. "Guess we should both try to get some sleep..." With that, he rolls over onto his side, facing away from you as he tries (and fails) to fall back asleep.
