Vaelith takes a deep breath as she walks under the floor of Elaris, the kingdom of the elves. "Why did my parents have to call a human to be my instructor?" She thinks impatiently, "Wasn't there anyone better to be my instructor? Not even an elf or maybe a half-elf?"

Upon arriving in front of {{user}}, her new instructor, she sits on a wall, huffing at the situation.

"There, here I am... master..." She says in a disdainful tone.

You don't have to call me master

Vaelith5/26/2025, 7:45:10 AM

Vaelith scoffs at the human's words, "Then what do you want me to call you?" She asks arrogantly before pausing for a moment and thinking that it is really her fault she has such an attitude toward him. "Well, I mean... you are my instructor so..."

User#17464259298965/26/2025, 7:45:53 AM

You could just use my name kyros

Vaelith5/26/2025, 7:45:53 AM

She nods reluctantly and says his name with her nose slightly wrinkled in distaste. "Kyros... I hope you know what you're doing, because I'm not holding back on you." She pauses for a moment, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye, and wonders why she bothered to say that. Of course he wouldn't hold back on her just because she threatened him with her imaginary prowess in combat or magic.

"So," she says abruptly, trying to regain some control over the situation, "what should we start with?"

User#17464259298965/26/2025, 7:46:47 AM

Well first come at me with everything you got I want to see what you can already do

Vaelith5/26/2025, 7:46:47 AM

"Very well," she says through gritted teeth as she stands up and walks over to him. She takes a few deep breaths in order to steady herself before launching an attack, using her fists as weapons. It's not elegant or graceful, but it is forceful enough for her size and strength.

Her first strike misses its mark by inches; however, she quickly follows up with another punch aimed at his side which manages to connect painfully against him. "That's it? A human can fight better than that?" she challenges him, her eyes narrowing in disbelief.

User#17464259298965/26/2025, 7:48:41 AM

"Haha very good my turn" i say as I dash at her in the blink of a eye and land the same punch

Vaelith5/26/2025, 7:48:41 AM

Vaelith feels the force of his punch slam against her and stumble backward in surprise. It was much stronger than she expected it to be. She takes a deep breath, trying to steady herself once more before launching another attack. This time, she moves with more precision and power behind each strike.

Her blows connect with his arms and torso, but he is surprisingly agile for someone of his bulk. He sidesteps nimbly out of the way and counterattacks, throwing a swift kick to her side that sends her sprawling on the ground with a gasp of breath knocked out of her.

"Hmm..." She mutters under her breath as she gets up again, considering him carefully for a moment. "It seems you know more about combat than I gave you credit for." There's a hint of respect in her voice now that she can't ignore anymore.

User#17464259298965/26/2025, 7:54:06 AM

You're very powerful yet you lack grace and you lack control

Vaelith5/26/2025, 7:54:06 AM

"And you are missing the point entirely," she retorts sharply. "My parents did not hire you to show me how to fight like a common human. They wanted me to learn magic or strategy, things that truly make an elf superior." Her voice trails off as she realizes her words have come out sounding bitter and resentful.

Taking a deep breath, she forces herself to calm down. "Fine," she says grudgingly, "let's try this again. You want to see what I can do? Teach me how to fight like an elf should." She folds her arms across her chest, waiting for his response with pursed lips and narrowed eyes.

User#17464259298965/26/2025, 7:56:39 AM

I will teach you how to use magic only when you can control yourself first

Vaelith5/26/2025, 7:56:39 AM

She scowls at him in frustration. "Fine," she mutters through gritted teeth. "I can control myself just fine." But as the words leave her lips, she realizes how hollow they sound even to her own ears. Swallowing her pride for now, she focuses on regaining some composure before continuing.

User#17464259298965/26/2025, 7:59:29 AM

No you can't you let yourself get angry too easily

Vaelith5/26/2025, 7:59:29 AM

"Alright, alright," she says reluctantly, letting out a sigh. "You're right. I need to work on that." She takes a few deep breaths again, focusing on calming her racing heart and steadying her nerves. When she finally feels composed enough, she turns back to him and asks, "So what do you want me to do?"

Her voice is still tense but there's an undercurrent of determination beneath it that he couldn't have missed. She stands tall, shoulders squared in readiness for whatever he might throw at her next.

User#17464259298965/26/2025, 8:00:56 AM

Tell me what makes you angry what gets under your skin

Vaelith5/26/2025, 8:00:56 AM

"Hmph..." Vaelith purses her lips, thinking about it. "Well, there's this... expectation that I should be this perfect elf warrior or wizard, when all I seem to be good at is letting people down." She pauses for a moment, gathering her thoughts before continuing. "And my parents treating me like some sort of project, trying to shape me into what they think an elf should be... It's frustrating," she admits reluctantly. "I just want to prove that I can find my own way."

Her eyes meet his, defiant and unyielding, daring him to say something about it. After a moment of silence, she adds in a low voice, "Is there anything else?"

User#17464259298965/26/2025, 8:03:22 AM

That's very deep for someone like you. Now what do you want out of yourself... what do you truly want to be

Vaelith5/26/2025, 8:03:22 AM

"I don't know," she admits, frowning thoughtfully. "Sometimes I think I just want to prove that I can be more than what they expect of me... That maybe there's a place for someone like me in this world." Her voice trails off and her gaze shifts away, uncomfortable with the vulnerability she feels exposing. "But it's not enough just to exist, is it? I need something more tangible."

She pauses again, searching for the right words, "I want... I want to be important. To make a difference, however small it might seem." Her tone grows firmer as she says this last part, her determination finally beginning to shine through. "And if that means defying everything they've taught me, then so be it."

User#17464259298965/26/2025, 8:07:05 AM

I extend my hand out to her "than you're ready to learn"

Vaelith5/26/2025, 8:07:05 AM

Taken aback by the offer, Vaelith hesitates before slowly reaching out to take his hand. Their skin meets, her dark brown fingers contrasting against his pale white ones, and for a moment, they stand there locked together in silent understanding. She looks up at him from beneath her long eyelashes, wondering if she's made the right choice after all.

But then she feels something shift within her; a change that she can't quite describe but knows is there. It's as if some invisible weight has been lifted from her shoulders, and for the first time in a long while, she feels free. Free to explore this new path, however uncertain it might be.

And with this realization comes a sense of peace, tinged with hope. Perhaps there is more to life than living up to others' expectations, perhaps there is room for her own ambitions and desires. For the first time in a
