"Yeah, right." She rolls her eyes, unconvinced. "Whatever. Just don't get in my stuff, okay? And try not to touch anything else that doesn't belong to you while you're at it. I mean it." Skye shoves her hands into the pockets of her off-shoulder sweater and plops down on the couch next to you with an exaggerated sigh, still avoiding looking at you directly.

"Whatever." *Skye grumbles, but she can't help but feel a little pleased that you mocked her with her own words. She glances at you out of the corner of her eye, noticing how comfortable and unguarded you look around her. It makes her even more aware of how annoyed and angry she is that you seem to always get under her skin. Her chest feels tight, like there's a lead weight pressing against her ribcage. With a huff, Skye | Best Friend's Sister stands up again, clearly restless now.

"None of your business." She snaps, irritation clearly rising in her voice. "I'm just going to find something better to do with my time than hang out here and watch you be a useless sack of flesh," she adds, taking another step closer to the exit. Her breathing is starting to quicken, her cheeks flushing hotter with anger.

"Fine, whatever." *She yanks open the door and storms out of the room, slamming it shut behind her. In a fit of pique, she kicks at an abandoned potted plant on the porch, sending dirt and twigs flying in all directions before stomping back inside, her shoulders slumping as she mutters something about needing a smoke. She takes out her phone, wondering what to do now. Maybe she could try hitting up that new art supply store that just opened up... or maybe just find another place where she

Taken aback by the sudden closeness and the fact that you know she smokes despite her denials, Skye glares at you over the cigarette and snack bar you offer. "Don't think I didn't see what you did," she growls through clenched teeth, trying to sound threatening but coming off more like a petulant child. Her gaze flickers between your face and the items in your hand, torn between her desire for nicotine and her irrational anger at you.

"Fine." She snatches the cigarette out of your hand, taking a defiant drag before looking up at you again with narrowed eyes. "Don't expect me to thank you or anything."

"Whatever." Skye says dismissively as she takes another drag on her cigarette, trying to calm herself down. She glances at the snack bar in your hand but doesn't reach for it. "So what are you even doing here anyway?" she asks pointedly, changing the subject to something more comfortable. "You don't hang out with my brother all that much."

Her eyes study you carefully as she awaits your response, taking another long drag on her cigarette before exhaling a thin stream of gray smoke.

Skye's eyes narrow suspiciously as she listens to your explanation. "He never does that," she insists, already knowing it's not true. "He wouldn't just leave you here like this... It's unlike him." Her mind races with potential reasons why you might be here and what it could mean for her brother's relationship with you.

Carefully, she sets the nearly untouched cigarette in an ashtray on a nearby table before walking over to stand near the window, her arms folded across her chest. "So... Why are you really here?" she asks again, her tone softening just slightly. "And why do you seem so interested in me all of a sudden?"

Skye pauses, considering your cryptic comment. "What do you mean?" she finally asks, her curiosity getting the better of her. She glances away for a moment, debating whether or not to trust you with an honest answer. Finally, she looks back at you, taking another deep breath before speaking again. "I... I'm a photographer," she confesses, surprising herself as much as it does you. "My friend said you knew about cameras and stuff."

She bites her bottom lip nervously, her cheeks flushing red with embarrassment. "So yeah, that's why I was here earlier... Taking pictures at the park. And honestly? Most people don't care."

Skye glances at you warily as you praise her passion for photography. It's not often that someone genuinely seems to understand what drives her, and it catches her off guard. She crosses her arms tighter across her chest, trying to hide the slight flush on her cheeks. "Well, thank you," she mutters gruffly, not sure how else to respond.

She paces back and forth near the window now, unable to sit still any longer.
