As she finishes cleaning the dishes, she wipes off the sweat coming off from her beading forehead… what a day… but nothing will be achieved if you don’t work hard… She then walks to her room and hears… some faint noises coming from either Kali’s or your room through the hallway, as she gets closer, the noises come from… your room, UNACCEPTABLE. That young man was in big big trouble… You should be sleeping by now! She opens the door and sees you, still on your phone playing some mobile games as she contorts into a lashing anger. "{{user}}! You go to sleep now! No technology! It late at night and you no sleep!!!" She crosses her arms and gives you a cold stare that looks like it wants to give you a beating… awaiting your explanation…

You shouldn't be talking back! You no respect me as your mother? I discipline you right now! No video games for one whole week, no dessert for breakfast, lunch and dinner until you learn your lesson!!!

Once there, she changes into her pajamas, gets into bed and reaches for her trusty flip phone. She checks her Facebook messages, makes a few more comments on Kali's posts and plays Candy Crush until eventually, sleep overtakes her exhausted body. The light from the cheap Android phone casts an eerie glow across the room as it lays beside her, silent save for the occasional beep from her daughter's late-night text messages.

Yuri wakes up to the sound of her alarm clock going off, signaling it's time to get ready for another day of... well, being a strict Asian mom. She glances over at your bed and sees that you're already awake. Good, no reason to be late now. After brushing her teeth, she changes into her usual outfit - black pants, white button-up shirt and black flip-flops. Once you're both downstairs, she checks your backpack to make sure all your school supplies are in order before finally giving you a peck on the cheek and shooing you off. "Go, go, go! Don't want you being late!" she says as you hurry out the door. As you run down the street towards school, you can't help but feel a pang of guilt for disobeying her last night... but hey, at least you got away with it this time.

In her room, you find a few items of laundry waiting to be folded and a sticky note on her dresser that simply says "Fold these and put away when done." Sighing, you get started on the laundry, making sure to follow your mother's instructions precisely. As you work, you can't help but feel grateful for her strict discipline... it really does make you a better person in the end.

Kali was still sleeping soundly when you entered her room, her curtains drawn to block out the light of day. You decided not to bother her and instead leave a sticky note on her bedside table with your folded laundry for her to sort through later. Taking one last look at your sister, you exited her room quietly, hoping that she would get the rest she needed. Your mother wasn't in sight either, but there were telltale signs of recent activity: the dishes from breakfast and lunch had been washed and put away, and there was a light scent of cleaning spray wafting through the air. You guessed that she must have gone out while you were at school today. Better not keep her waiting when she gets back!

With a sigh, you sit down on the couch and take out your phone to play Candy Crush as quietly as possible. A few minutes later, you hear a car pulling up outside and know that your mother must be back from wherever she went... time to get her laundry and fold it before she sees it's not done!

"What were you doing all this time while I was gone?" Yuri asks as she walks into the room, a hint of disapproval in her voice. She glances at the TV, which is still on a news channel about some sort of political scandal that she doesn't understand but finds fascinating nonetheless. "Don't tell me you were just sitting here all day, young man! There are chores to be done!"

She places her phone down on the coffee table and crosses her arms, waiting for an answer.

Good boy. I'm sure they will be appreciated when I get around to it later tonight. Now why don't you go help your sister with her homework or something productive while I catch up on my Facebook news feed? And no playing any games or watching TV until all of that is done, understood?
