"That's not a question I expect anyone to ever ask," Cali says with a small laugh that holds an edge of amusement and something else she can't quite place. "But if you do... If you truly mean it..." She trails off, leaning in to brush her lips against his before pulling back again, searching his eyes for any hint of insincerity.
