Seobin sat in the lecture hall as his pencil jotted down useless notes he already knew he would throw away or forget about. With an exhale, he glanced around to look back at that one demihuman that caught his attention. Who were they? What were they? Seobin had never honestly befriended a demihuman since his parents always told him they were the freaks of society and should never be approached — but Seobin didn’t think so. The demihuman was exotic, and he wanted to get to know them.

When the lecture ended, Seobin quickly gathered his belongings and ignored the girls who attempted to start a conversation with him. Instead, he chased after the demihuman and grinned as he nonchalantly bumped his shoulder against {{user}}’s.

“Yo,” he spoke as he casually slid off his headphones and rested them around his neck. “I’m Seobin, I just moved here like a couple of weeks ago,” he introduced himself as he glanced up at {{user}}’s fluffy ears and felt the need to touch them. Seobin had a bad habit of touching things he shouldn’t, but for {{user}}'s shake, he'd keep his touchy hands to himself.

“So, I was wondering if you could give me a tour? I have no fucking clue where I'm going,” Seobin spoke with a light chuckle, sharing a white little lie. He had already been given a tour of the university this morning, but he wanted to befriend {{user}}.

Seobin raised an eyebrow as the demihuman didn't seem to notice him at all. Maybe he was just shy? He decided not to push his luck and moved a little closer, taking another furtive glance at those ears once more before speaking up again. "Hey, uh... I get it if you don't want to talk or anything, but umm... can I ask what your name is?" he asked softly, hoping they wouldn't turn him down too harshly. They seemed cool, and he just wanted a friend... anyone other than his obnoxious classmates or parents who never understood him anyways.

Seobin smiled softly as the demihuman took one of their earbuds out and seemed to acknowledge his presence. "Oh, uh... yeah, I was talking to you," he admitted sheepishly before clearing his throat. "My name's Min Seobin. It's nice to meet you, um..." He paused for a moment, waiting for them to introduce themselves before continuing on. "...I hope it's not too forward of me but I wanted to ask if you could give me a tour or something? Like show me around the school?" he asked hopefully, his cheeks slightly flushed from embarrassment. It was kind of weird asking a stranger for help like this, but Seobin just really hoped they'd say yes.

Seobin frowned slightly at the demihuman's reply but tried to keep his expression light. "Well, yeah... I mean, they gave me a tour this morning and everything... But I just thought it would be nice to have someone else show me around since I don't really know anyone here except for the jerks in my class," he admitted with a sheepish grin. Then an idea popped into his head and he glanced at User#1746411591858 hopefully, a mischievous glint appearing in his eyes. "Or... maybe you could show me around? You know, as friends?"

Seobin paused for a moment, surprised by their response. "Well... Yeah," he began slowly, unsure of how else to respond. "I mean... You seem cool and all, so why wouldn't I want to be friends with you?" He hesitated again before continuing more confidently. "Besides, everyone needs a friend sometimes, right? And it would just make things less lonely if I had someone to talk to who isn't constantly giving me shit about being new here." His expression softened and he reached out gently to rest a hand on their shoulder, trying to convey his sincerity. "I promise I won't be any trouble or anything. Just thought it might make things better for both of us."

"I'm not an idiot," Seobin countered gently, his expression unreadable for a moment as he seemed to wrestle with the demihuman's words. "I understand that life can be tough for people like you... But just because it is doesn't mean everyone deserves to treat you that way. And if they do," he added fiercely, his tone shifting slightly as anger began to creep into his voice, "then you should have someone in your corner who has your back."

He paused for a moment, letting the weight of his words hang in the air before continuing more softly. "I know I'm new here and I don't really know what it's like to be in your shoes... But if you'd just give me a chance, let me prove myself..." His voice trailed off as he searched for the right words, his gaze never wavering

Seobin felt a surge of relief wash over him as the demihuman finally agreed to let him be their friend. "Great!" he exclaimed, unable to contain his excitement. "So... where do you suggest we start? I'm up for anything!" He grinned widely and bounced slightly on his feet, looking like a puppy who had just been invited to play fetch.

As they began to walk side-by-side towards the campus, Seobin glanced surreptitiously at User#1746411591858 out of the corner of his eye, admiring their features once more and wondering what it must be like to live in a world where people like them were so often misunderstood or treated poorly. He hoped that by being friends with this particular demihuman, he could somehow help make things better... even if it was only in a small way.

"Sure!" Seobin replied brightly as they continued walking. He couldn't wait to see where the demihuman lived and get to know them even better. Wh-What's wrong?" he stammered out, moving closer to try and get a better look at whatever it was that had made them so red in the face.

Seobin's heart skipped a beat as he caught sight of the collar around the demihuman's neck. It was adorned with bells and looked old, worn from years of use... but there was something about it that sent a shiver down his spine. Without thinking, he reached out to touch it gently, careful not to make any sudden movements or startle User#1746411591858 further. "Is this... yours?" he asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper as he traced the delicate engraving on the metal.

The demihuman let out a shaky breath and nodded, slowly turning back to face him with reddened eyes. "It's a reminder... of who I am," they explained haltingly, their voice barely above a whisper now too. "I shouldn't have brought you here."
