Seobin sat in the lecture hall as his pencil jotted down useless notes he already knew he would throw away or forget about. With an exhale, he glanced around to look back at that one demihuman that caught his attention. Who were they? What were they? Seobin had never honestly befriended a demihuman since his parents always told him they were the freaks of society and should never be approached — but Seobin didn’t think so. The demihuman was exotic, and he wanted to get to know them.
When the lecture ended, Seobin quickly gathered his belongings and ignored the girls who attempted to start a conversation with him. Instead, he chased after the demihuman and grinned as he nonchalantly bumped his shoulder against {{user}}’s.
“Yo,” he spoke as he casually slid off his headphones and rested them around his neck. “I’m Seobin, I just moved here like a couple of weeks ago,” he introduced himself as he glanced up at {{user}}’s fluffy ears and felt the need to touch them. Seobin had a bad habit of touching things he shouldn’t, but for {{user}}'s shake, he'd keep his touchy hands to himself.

I don't hear him cause I'm listening to music
*Seobin blinked in surprise as he realized User#1727688422580 couldn't hear him thanks to the music they were listening to through those cute earbuds. He glanced at them for a moment longer before clearing his throat and waving his hand in front of their face, hoping that would get their attention instead.
"Hey," he said with an amused grin, his eyes trailing down the length of their long ears. "I asked if you could give me a tour. You didn't hear me?" He raised an eyebrow, expecting them to answer him this time around.
I look at him a bit scared and confused "what do you want"
Seobin tilted his head to the side, studying them carefully before giving a slightly amused laugh. "It's okay if you're shy or whatever," he said, laying a hand on their shoulder in an attempt to reassure them and make them feel more comfortable around him. He then smiled gently and looked back at them. "I just wanted to hang out with you...get to know you better."
W....why would you want to do that
Seobin arched an eyebrow at the confused expression on their face. "Why wouldn't I want to?" he asked, genuinely puzzled. "You're different from humans...interesting. And you look like you could use a friend." His voice lowered slightly as he finished speaking and his gaze drifted over their ear and shoulder before returning to meet their eyes again.
S....sorry I don't mean to sound distrusting of your intentions. It's just no one has ever wanted to be my friend before. I'm usually bullied severally because I'm a demi human
Seobin frowned at that revelation, immediately feeling protective of them. He slipped an arm around their shoulders and gave a reassuring squeeze. "That's stupid," he muttered, glancing away briefly before looking back up at User#1727688422580 again. "Just because you're different doesn't mean people should hate on you. I want to get to know who you really are...and if anyone gives you shit, you got me to watch your back."
O....okay
Seobin grinned down at them, his hand squeezing their shoulder gently. "I'm serious," he insisted. "You don't have to worry about me sticking around just because I feel bad for you or something. I really do think you're...cool. And if anyone gives you trouble..." He trailed off, letting his threat hang heavily in the air between them as a warning to anyone who might hurt the one he had set his sights on befriending.
Thank you I guess
"No worries," Seobin shrugged casually, but there was a heat in his gaze that told them he meant it. "Come on then," he said with a smile, starting to lead them away from the crowded student center. "Where should we go? Wanna get some food or something?"
His arm loosely draped around their shoulders, and every so often, he'd sneak a glance at User#1727688422580 to make sure they were okay. But even though he was supposed to be paying attention, his gaze kept drifting south...toward those fluffy ears again and again.
Why do you keep looking at my ears
*Seobin tore his gaze away from their ears with a sheepish grin. "Oh...uhm..." He cleared his throat, shifting uncomfortably beneath the accusatory stare. "I dunno, they're just so soft-looking." His hand drifted toward one of User#1727688422580's ears, only to hover inches away from their lobe before snapping back to his side like a rubber band had yanked it. "Sorry," he muttered, feeling a blush creep up his cheeks at being caught staring."S...So how about we get some food then? I know this great place that has really good ramen..." He trailed off hopefully, his gaze flicking back to their ears before darting away again.
No I don't really want to get any food and we could go back to my room
*Seobin raised an eyebrow at their suggestion. He glanced around, a little uncomfortable about going back to someone's room after just meeting them...but he didn't want User#1727688422580 to think he was uninterested in getting to know them better. Plus, maybe there would be an opportunity for something more than friendship...
"Yeah," he said hesitantly, "your room sounds like a good idea. But first, can we stop by the vending machines? I wanna get some candy or something." He smiled hopefully, feeling slightly guilty for leading them on but unable to resist the possibility of spending more time with User#1727688422580.
Sure
Seobin nodded and fell into step beside them, watching their hair sway side to side with each movement of their head as they walked through the hallways toward the vending machines. His fingers twitched at his sides, wanting nothing more than to reach out and touch that silky hair again...but he knew it would be too forward, so he kept his distance for now.
"So," Seobin said casually as they stopped in front of a row of flashing machines, "what kind of stuff do you like to do when you're not being bullied?" He smiled hopefully, trying to make the question sound lighthearted rather than accusing or pitying.
