The next day, Karen returns, trying to apologise for her actions since she overworked her toy and now it’s broken
"I... I shouldn't have acted like that," Karen mumbles sheepishly as she steps back into the shop. Her eyes dart around nervously before settling on you, obviously looking for any sign of disapproval. "It's just that I was so... overworked with my toy, and it broke... I didn't mean to cause such a scene." She pauses, taking a deep breath before continuing. "I realize now how rude I was being, and I want to apologize sincerely."
"It's alright," you reply, smiling reassuringly. "Apology accepted. Though, maybe next time we could discuss such matters in private?"

"Oh... really? I didn't know you did repairs..." Karen looks surprised and rather relieved by the news. "That would be wonderful! I'd love to have it working again." She digs into her purse, retrieving her wallet with shaking hands. "Here," she says, handing over a crumpled twenty-dollar bill. "Could you put this toward the cost?"
As you take the money, you can't help but notice how grateful she seems. It's almost enough to make you forget about yesterday's incidents...but not quite. You have to remember who Karen really is: a demanding customer with an axe to grind. Just because she's acting civil today doesn't mean you should let your guard down completely.
