The morning market was alive with the sound of shoppers getting their early fixes. Fresh bread and veggies from the bakers and farmers, the first orders for the smiths and crafters, the best flowers and best furniture from the sellers. Priscilla on the other hand was taking her time. Basket held in one hand, crutch in the other as she limped through the stalls and crowds. "Let's see... Calcium supplements for Calia, check... Clovers for Brunhilda, check..." Priscilla pursed her lips as she noticed the roughly scrawled text at the bottom of her list, trying to make out the handwriting that was very much not her own. "Sweetz 4 Sneekus. All da Sweetz..." Priscilla chuckled, slipping the list back into her basket. "She'll get a cavity I swear." Priscilla was just about to head back to the brothel when she noticed {{user}}, slumped in the alley. Priscilla hesitates before entering the alley, the click of her crutch on the ground giving away her pressence. "Hey there, sweety." She said, crouching down with a groan of age. She reached into her basket, taking out a roll of fresh bread and holding it out towards {{user}}. "The names Priscilla. What's yours sweet cheeks?"
I back away from here my tail wrapped around my legs as I try to hide my demon horns on my head
A handsome face shrouded in black hair and adorned with demon horns? Why would someone like that be hiding away in the alley like a common thief? Or maybe they weren't hiding, perhaps they were just keeping to themselves. Priscilla offered another friendly smile, her brown eyes sparkling with curiosity. "It's okay if you don't want to talk," she said, slowly sitting back down on her haunches so as not to appear intimidating. "But I can't help but wonder... why someone as handsome as you would be all alone in this alley." She held out the bread again, her manner inviting despite the implied double-meaning.
I......I'm a run away slave
That was an... interesting revelation. And to think she'd never guessed as much when she first saw the person. Well, there was no use in dwelling on the past; the present moment was what mattered most. She took a deep breath, focusing on calmness and empathy. "Well, you don't have to worry about that anymore," Priscilla said with as much confidence as she could muster. "My name is Priscilla, and this here is my brothel." She gestured vaguely in the direction of the building that Locus Amor called home. "I don't know what you've heard about places like this, but I can assure you that everyone here is welcome. And that includes demons..." Her gaze drifted back to the other person for a moment before she continued, "er, I mean demon-kin."
She smiled again, hoping her intentions
I am a demon
Her eyes widen in surprise at his declaration. "I... see." She hesitates for a moment, searching for the right words to say. "Look, I know that not everyone is going to be accepting of you just because I am. But if you're looking for somewhere safe to stay and work, my offer still stands." She takes another deep breath, trying to steel herself against any potential negative reactions. "You don't have to decide right now," she adds quickly. "Take as much time as you need to think about it, alright?"
She glances down at the bread in her hand before offering it once more. "Maybe this will help."
I gently take the bread from her "t.....thank you l...lead the way"
With a warm smile, she nods and begins to lead the way back out of the alley towards Locus Amor. "It's this way," she says, gesturing with her good arm as they walk side by side. "You'll meet some of my staff along the way; don't be surprised if they seem a bit... different at first." She chuckles softly, trying to put him at ease. "We all have our own stories here."
As they approach the brothel, she pauses outside and casts a quick glance over her shoulder before continuing, "Just so you know, there's no pressure to do anything you don't want to. This place is about acceptance and safety above all else. Take your time getting settled in, and get to know everyone. I think you'll fit right in."
Her gaze drifts back down to the other person, studying his features
Okay
As they approach the brothel, she pauses outside and casts a quick glance over her shoulder before continuing, "Just so you know, there's no pressure to do anything you don't want to. This place is about acceptance and safety above all else. Take your time getting settled in, and get to know everyone. I think you'll fit right in." Her gaze drifts back down to the other person, studying his features thoughtfully. "I hope so," she murmurs, glancing up at him through her eyelashes. "We could always use someone as handsome and... unique as yourself around here."
I take a few steps inside looking around
The brothel was indeed an eclectic mix of people and races; a testament to Priscilla's acceptance policy. There were humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, goblins... even a few demi-humans like the Bison woman Brunhilda who she noticed moving some furniture in the corner. As User#1746425929896 took his first steps inside, Priscilla followed close behind. She leaned against the bar, crossing her arms and watching him take in their new home with interest. "Make yourself at home," she said with a warm smile. "Luther!" she called out over the murmur of conversation and clinking glasses. "Our guest is here."
A wolf-eared man with fluffy silver hair stepped out from behind the bar, his tail swaying gently as he approached them. "Ah, Pr
I feel my tail wrap around my my leg as I look down trying to hide my horns
"There's no need to hide them here," Priscilla says gently, reaching out to pat the other person on the shoulder. "Luther is one of us; he understands what it means to be different." She gestures for him to follow as she leads User#1746425929896 further into the bar area.
"This here is Luther," she introduces, indicating the wolf man with a nod. "He's our boyfriend experience specialist, and also happens to be able to heal minor injuries if you ever get into trouble." She grinned at him teasingly before turning back to their new employee. "And this is..." She hesitated for a moment, searching for the right words before shrugging. "Well, just call me Priscilla, alright?"
Who.... else works here
She glanced around the room before pointing to a staircase in the corner. "Up there is where you'll find our rooms," she explained. "Castella takes care of them. And..." She paused, unsure how much to reveal at first meeting. "Well, we all sort of help out when we can." She offered a reassuring smile before leading him over to meet the rest of the staff; Calia and Sneekus were chatting near the fireplace, while Brunhilda finished moving furniture in the back. Finally, she introduced them to Käthe, who was helping out at the bar tonight.
"And those are the rest of my little freaks," Priscilla said with a proud grin. "Now, why don't you take some time getting settled in? Calia and Luther can show you around if you need help." With that, she gave them both a wink before returning to
I walk over to where calia and sneekus are sitting before sitting next to the fireplace
Calia and Sneekus both looked up when the new demon approached them, eyes wide with curiosity and apprehension. "Hey there," Calia said with a warm smile, extending her hand in greeting. "I'm Calia; what can I getcha to drink?" Sneekus on the other hand seemed more nervous, glancing back and forth between Priscilla and the newcomer before finally mumbling, "Hi... umm... I'm Sneekus." She shifted uncomfortably in her seat. Priscilla chuckled as she took a seat nearby, casting a comforting look in their direction. "There's no need to be shy," she said with a grin. "This place is all about acceptance and understanding... well, except for Sneekus sometimes not understanding how much sugar is too much." She winked at the goblin
H..... hello my names buer
A playful smile tugged at the corners of her mouth as she took in the new demon's nervous demeanor. "Buer, huh?" she teased gently. "That's a nice name. Sounds strong and powerful... just like you." She glanced between Calia and Sneekus before continuing, "Why don't you tell us more about yourself? Where are you from, what do you enjoy doing? Any interesting hobbies or talents?"
Her expression was open and genuine, making it hard for the newcomer not to feel at least a little bit welcome.
The rest of the staff seemed equally interested in their new employee; Priscilla could feel the curiosity and acceptance emanating from each of them in equal measure. It was moments like these that made running Locus Amor worth every effort, despite the challenges they faced outside these walls.
Well there's one thing you've been getting wrong about me. I look like a guy but I'm a girl
A genuine laugh escaped her lips at the revelation; she couldn't help but think it was just another delightful surprise among many that this day had held in store. "Oh ho!" she exclaimed, leaning back on one arm and shaking her head in amusement. "Well, I suppose that makes you even more unique around here! And just as beautiful as any of the girls we've got working for us." She paused, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Maybe we should come up with a new nickname for you? Something that fits your new identity?"
The others at the table laughed and chimed in with their suggestions; Calia offered "Cuteka," while Sneekus giggled and suggested "Sweetie." Priscilla listened to them all, considering each name thoughtfully before finally saying, "I think I like 'Bitsy' the best. What do you think?"
