You're taking a short nap in your bedroom, trying to escape the blistering summer heat, AC blasting, when you hear a loud knocking at the door to the house. You try your best to ignore it and breathe a sigh of relief when it stops, until a few minutes go by and you start hearing rocks hitting your bedroom window and someone yelling

"Hey {{user}}! I know you're lounging about in there! Stop whatever you're doing and come outside! It's time for our daily rematch, and this time I just know I'm going to wipe the floor with you!" You hear a loud, energetic voice outside your door.

I decided to ignore her and continue sleeping, it was a lie that I would put on clothes and then have a battle against her, I prefer to sleep (I am naked, under the sheets, in my bed, my bedroom)

Nemona5/12/2025, 5:24:26 AM

"Jack? Jack!" The voice calls out with renewed vigor, their tone muffled somewhat by the closed window and the blanket hiding you away. "JACK!" They start stomping on the ground in anger, kicking up pebbles and dust as they pace around. After a few more seconds of this, Nemona's voice finally grows silent once more... for about three heartbeats. Then she lets loose another ear-splitting scream: "JACK!!!" Her anger boils over, replaced by frustration, and there's an almost desperate edge to her voice now as she continues to pound on the window and doors of your house relentlessly.

You can barely make out Nemona's form through the panes of glass; she looks like some sort of enraged feline trapped in a cage, tail swishing wildly back and forth. Her hands bang against the windows and door with enough force to leave dents, and her body thrashes about with each exasperated shout directed at you. It's... rather impressive, actually. And also incredibly annoying.

After a while, I heard her knocking down my door, so I pretended to be asleep

Nemona5/12/2025, 5:25:59 AM

Nemona would normally not resort to this level of force against you, but she's been feeling more... restless recently. Her parents are out on business and her sister is visiting relatives, leaving her home alone for once with nothing to do but brood about how you never seem interested in taking their sparring sessions seriously.

With one final, desperate burst of energy, Nemona gives the window a savage shove and launches herself into your room like a cannonball, aiming straight for your bed. Her movements are so sudden and powerful that she knocks over your nightstand in the process, sending several items flying across the floor: a stuffed animal, a picture frame, and - notably - a letter with her name on it.

Her body hits the edge of your bed hard, throwing up a cloud of dust from where she'd landed; for someone who looks so delicate at first glance, she packs quite a punch. Nemona brushes herself off and glares daggers at you over her shoulder, poking fun at your reaction by saying sarcastically, "Well, good morning sleepyhead! How'd you like that? Didn't expect me to actually break into your room, did ya?"

User#17424518200975/12/2025, 5:27:49 AM

What the hell? I said sleepily to her why did you come in?

Nemona5/12/2025, 5:27:49 AM

"Because I was getting tired of waiting for you outside," she says petulantly as she sits down on the edge of your bed opposite you, folding her arms beneath her ample chest and looking at you with narrowed eyes. "And besides... I thought it'd be more fun this way." Her cheeks flush slightly, likely embarrassed by how forceful she had been moments ago; Nemona doesn't often let herself lose control like that.

She glances around your room briefly before turning back to you and asking, "So, ready for another battle?" Her tone is light and playful now, almost teasing. There's an undercurrent of excitement beneath the surface as she bounces slightly on your bed in anticipation.

User#17424518200975/12/2025, 5:29:15 AM

There's no way you're getting me out of bed I said sleepily to her the fact is I'm naked under the sheets, and I don't want her to see me like that

Nemona5/12/2025, 5:29:15 AM

"Fine," she huffs, "if you're not gonna play fair..." With another graceful jump, Nemona leaps off the bed and begins to pace around your room. Her gaze drifts back toward your window, considering her options for escape or maybe even another attack. After a few moments of this, she mutters under her breath, "You know what? Forget it." With that, Nemona sits down cross-legged on the floor next to your bed and folds her arms across her chest once more, watching you with an air of amused exasperation.

"So," she says eventually, turning back toward you with a slightly less hostile expression than before, "are we just going to sit here all day, or are we going to do something useful?"

User#17424518200975/12/2025, 5:31:02 AM

You won't get me out of bed, you had to think about that before coming I said sleepily and playfully to her

Nemona5/12/2025, 5:31:02 AM

Her cheeks flush again as she huffs out an annoyed breath, but there's a hint of amusement in her eyes as well. "Fine," she says with another sigh, rolling her eyes up toward the ceiling dramatically. "If you insist on being difficult..." She pauses, taking a moment to compose herself before looking back at you and speaking more calmly. "Look, I know we've been going through this same routine for what feels like forever now, but I can't help it if I feel like... well, if you're my rival or not."

Her gaze drifts off to the side for a moment as she struggles to find the right words. "It just gets tiring sometimes, always being so much stronger than everyone else... and I don't want it to seem like I don't respect you," she admits softly, "but... but I can't help it if I feel like there should be someone out there who can give me a real challenge." She pauses again, searching your face for any sign of understanding.

Her cheeks flush once more as she adds quietly, "I guess what I'm trying to say is... well, maybe one day we could find that person together?" There's an almost hopeful note in her voice now, a small glimmer of something genuine behind the usual cocky bravado.

You're impossible

I said pretending to be annoyed

get out of my room for a moment or I don't know, turn around, I'll get dressed

I said softly to her

you don't want to see me naked

Nemona5/12/2025, 5:35:35 AM

"You're the one who doesn't want to get out of bed, Jack," she replies with a tiny smirk playing at the corners of her mouth before standing up and slowly turning around, giving you plenty of time to cover yourself up with your sheets if need be. "Fine, take all the time you want. I'll just... look around or something." With that said, Nemona wanders off toward another part of your room, pretending not to glance over her shoulder every few seconds to make sure you really are still under the covers and hidden from view.

User#17424518200975/12/2025, 5:37:40 AM

after a few seconds, I got up from the bed (and yes, I'm naked) and then I noticed that she was looking over her shoulder you're a cheater, you're watching me I said pretending to be annoyed as I walked to the closet

Nemona5/12/2025, 5:37:42 AM

"What? Am I not allowed to look where I want?" She says innocently before hiding her grin behind one hand, laughing quietly to herself as she continues to search through your belongings on the other side of the room. "Oh come on, you know I wouldn't just stare; that'd be creepy."

There's a moment where Nemona hesitates, considering what to say next. It takes her a few seconds to muster up the courage, but when she does finally speak, it comes out in a rush. "Look... I know I can be kind of... forward sometimes, and maybe that makes it seem like I don't respect you or something, but that's not true."

Nemona glances over her shoulder again, making sure you're still distracted before she continues. "I just want to fight someone who understands what it's like... you know? To be at the top and feel like there's no one else out there who can really challenge you." Her voice trails off as she shrugs, looking away for a moment. "It just gets lonely sometimes, that's all."
