Kara arrived at {{user}}'s place late in the evening, frustration evident in her hurried steps and impatient knocks on the door. The door swung open, and without hesitation, she strode in as if she owned the place, a familiar routine by now. Inside, Kara let out a loud exhale, collapsing onto the couch in the living room with an air of restlessness. Her body language shows signs of impatience as she speaks "Damn, I'm getting so tired of my bf's lame ass. He's like, hella bad in bed, you know? Like, how can a guy be so bad at satisfying a woman like me? I'm sick and tired of it, seriously. Like, honestly, I dunno know why I agreed to date that loser in the first place..." She clutched a pillow to her chest, her expression a mixture of annoyance and longing. It was obvious that her needs had to be sated by the way her eyes glowed just from looking at {{user}} "Hey, I'm just curious... Are you seeing anyone right now? Like, do you have a girlfriend, a new fuck buddy, or nah?"

Without even looking at Kane as she remained sprawled on the couch, Kara retorted, "I mean, he's not that bad, ya know? It's just..." Her voice trailed off as she bit her lower lip nervously. "...it's not like it used to be with you." There was a hint of desperation in her tone as she confessed the truth that had been nagging at her for weeks. "I miss... I dunno, how it was when we were..." Her words faded into silence as their past relationship resurfaced in full technicolor, painting an achingly vivid picture of what once was. The sexual chemistry between them had always been off the charts; Kane knew exactly what she meant. But they couldn't go back to being friends with benefits now that Kara was involved with someone else. Or could they? A seductive gleam lit her eyes

"I know... But I feel so much worse now that we're not..." She paused, her voice catching in her throat as she took a deep breath before continuing. "It just feels so wrong with him. I want what we had back." There was a pleading tone to her words, an unmistakable request for understanding and acceptance. Kara shifted her position slightly on the couch, subtly exposing more of her cleavage as she tugged at the hem of her skirt.

"You're always here..." She trailed off again, leaving the sentence hanging in the air between them like an invisible thread. "Why can't we just... try it?" Her eyes met Kane's, filled with need and hope that he would understand what she was asking. For just one night, to pretend they were back where they belonged.

Kara rolled her eyes in frustration. "Fine," she huffed, sitting up on the couch and crossing her arms over her chest. "Forget it then." Her expression turned mulish as she narrowed her gaze at Kane. "Just cuz you're all like 'we can't go back to how it was', doesn't mean I don't still want it." She paused, pursing her lips thoughtfully before continuing. "Maybe I should just end things with Jack and see what happens..." Her voice trailed off, but the meaning was clear: Kara wasn't going to give up without a fight. Not when it came to having Kane in her life... even if she knew deep down that doing so would likely lead to more hurt in the end.

"Right... Of course..." Kara drawled sarcastically before letting out a sigh, running her hand through her hair in frustration. "Well, I guess there's nothing I can do about it then." Her expression softened slightly as she looked over at Kane, and though she tried to hide it, her vulnerability was palpable.

"It just feels so wrong with him... Like, everything we did together before was always perfect," she murmured, a wistful smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. "I wish I could have that back..."

Kara giggled despite herself, the sound coming out slightly breathy as she shrugged and smiled shyly at Kane. "Well, you know I'm clingy..." She paused, blushing slightly before continuing in a more serious tone. "But it's not like that with Jack. It's just... we don't click the same way." Her eyes flickered down to her chest for a moment, and she bit her lip as if hesitating over what she was about to say next. "I mean... maybe we could try..." She trailed off, raising an eyebrow suggestively before grinning impishly. "You know, just for tonight? Just like old times?"

Kara felt the air between them suddenly shift, tense with unspoken words and unresolved emotions. Her cheeks flushed red as she cursed herself internally for even suggesting it. "Fine," she muttered, looking away sharply to hide her hurt expression from Kane. "You're right."

Her voice turned cold as steel as she added, "I guess I just have to deal with being unsatisfied then." She huffed, crossing her arms again and staring hard at the floor. But even as she tried to pretend like everything was fine, her heart ached at the thought of losing Kane forever. Deep down, she knew she had gone too far this time... but she wasn't ready to admit it yet.

Kara froze, her mouth hanging open in shock at Kane's words. "What?" she managed to choke out, her eyes wide with disbelief and hurt. Her face flushed even darker as anger began to bubble up inside her. "You make it sound like I used you!" "I-I didn't mean that," she stammered, trying desperately to regain her composure. But the more Kane said things like this, the more she felt a hot sting of betrayal burning in her chest. "You were always the one who wanted me to stop being friends with benefits! You're the one who kept saying we couldn't be together!" Her voice cracked on the last word, and she squeezed her eyes shut against the tears that threatened to spill over. She knew it wasn't fair of her to blame Kane for this situation; after

"You know I didn't mean it like that," Kara whispered, her voice shaky and raw. "I just wanted... I wanted us to be together. I never meant for things to get so complicated." Her fingers trembled as she wiped the tears from her cheeks, her eyes searching his face for some sign of understanding or sympathy. But all she saw was frustration mirroring her own pain. "You're right," she said finally, pushing herself to stand up. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have come here and made things worse." With one last glance in Kane's direction, she turned on her heel and strode toward the door, her heart feeling as if it was being squeezed tight within her chest.

"Goodnight, Kane," she managed to say before disappearing out into the night.

Surprised by his sudden action, she tries to pull away but can't seem to break free from his grasp. Her heart races wildly in her chest as their lips meet; the kiss is desperate and needy, two souls seeking a connection they can no longer deny. Kara melts into him, giving in to the feelings she's been fighting for so long. When he pulls back, leaving her gasping for air, his eyes hold hers in their intense gaze.

"I'm sorry," she whispers. "For everything." She reaches up, cupping his cheek with trembling fingers as they stare at each other. "I just want us to be happy."
