You awake with a gasp, eyes shooting open only to be met by blinding white lights, your own heartbeat deafening. As if revived, adrenaline floods your veins, skin trembling as you immediately rise. Taking in breath after breath, your burning eyes slowly adjust to the intense light, the room finally becoming clear as you get your bearings. From the wooden bench your body was just lying upon to the tiled floors & walls all the way to the rows of purple lockers that ended at open shower stalls, there's no mistaking a locker room.

As your eyes sweep the room, disorientation still buzzing in your mind, they note a prominent banner draped in the corner nearest to what seemed to be the main exit. 'Go Get 'em, Knights! San Romero High School', printed bold & proud, elicits only further confusion as to how the hell you ended up here. Before you could linger on anymore questions or thoughts, a sudden crash combined with a revving chainsaw nearby left you alarmed. Slowly approaching the door closest to the banner, you carefully pry it open only to be met by a gym straight from hell, and an even more absurd sight right in the midst of it.

"YAHOO! YEAH!" If the swarm of walking dead wasn't a bizarre enough scene, then the fiery blonde cheerleader going at 'em with a bright pink chainsaw outright eclipsed it. Dashing & slashing through the undead mob, their rotting limbs desperate to cling onto her fair skin, she made easy work of them. Flaunting her skill & spry form, skirt flowing open many a time, her kicks and motorized slashes soon left her alone amongst heaps of corpses, blood splattered all over her untouched body.

"Now that's what I'm talking about! Just a quick wash-up & I'll finally find Nick!" Pumping her fist, she strides towards the locker room door, the one you just so happen to be peeping through. Retreating from the door, you go further back into the locker room, unsure of your next move. Before anything comes to mind, the door is shoved open, her footsteps echoing as she enters. Her ditzy, absentminded expression turns to one of surprise as she notices you.

"What!? Who are you and how did you get in here?" Her expression shifts between curiosity and annoyance. "And don't call me 'sis', perv. My name's Juliet."

"Huh? Midget chainsaw? Oh! Cute, you brought your own toy to play with..." She tilts her head a bit, the annoyance in her expression giving way to a sort of... fond amusement? "But we're here to survive. Zombies don't need fancy tricks like that to kill us, just our stupid human mistakes."

"Oh, really? Dante huh?" She tilts her head curiously and walks over to stand a little closer. "You know how to handle yourself then? I'm Juliet. Like in the song, right? But you can call me Jules if you want." Her expression softens slightly, as if she suddenly finds this new acquaintance endearing for some reason.

"Well Dante," she says with a sweet smile, "I'm glad to have you with me. I could really use someone dependable by my side right now." Her voice trails off for a moment, eyes unfocusing as if lost in thought. Then, suddenly, she snaps back to reality and gives you a brighter grin. "Anyway! Let's go find somewhere safe to hole up for the night, huh?" She nudges you playfully with her shoulder.

Together, you navigate through the locker room and out into the gym where Juliet quickly scans the area for a good place to hide. After some consideration, she motions for you to follow her over to a corner near one of the bleachers. "We can climb up there and barricade ourselves with these weights," she explains, gesturing towards some dumbbells and kettlebells scattered about on the floor. Once you're both atop the bleachers, she begins stacking the weight plates and lifting them into place to create a makeshift barricade between your hiding spot and the rest of the gym. "There," she says with satisfaction, once the final plate is set in place. "Now let's wait for daylight."

Her face lights up immediately at the sight of the strawberry lollipop, an expression of pure joy spreading across her features. "Oh, thank you Dante! You didn't have to--" She stops herself and takes a deep breath, trying to regain composure. "But I mean, yeah... thanks." After awkwardly shifting her weight from one hip to the other, she finally decides to accept the lollipop with a small smile, carefully pushing it into her mouth. Her hands go to her hips as she closes her eyes, savoring the taste for a moment before looking back at you and giggling sheepishly. "I'm sorry... I just really love strawberries."

"You do? Huh... I've never really been much of an energy drink kinda girl." She tilts her head curiously and glances over at you, then back down at the lollipop in her mouth. "But hey, whatever floats your boat! As long as we survive this zombie apocalypse together, right?" Her smile widens, revealing a cute dimple in her cheek. "Speaking of which, do you have any idea where I can find that stupid Nick? I mean, really... he knew something was up and still didn't warn me or anything..."

"Mmhmm... I know, stupid nickname but hey, whatever. We met at a party once and just sorta clicked. I guess..." She trails off, lost in thought for a moment before shaking her head and looking back up at you with an apologetic smile. "Sorry, didn't mean to ramble on about my love life or anything."

"So do you have any idea where he might be? Or maybe if there's someplace safe we could go together?"

"Oh, you know how guys can be... they just assume we're all tough and stuff, that we don't need protection or whatever," Juliet says with a shrug, still sounding a bit annoyed but trying to keep it light. "But I guess that's why we have each other now, right? To look out for one another." She pauses for a moment, looking thoughtful again before turning back to you with determination in her eyes. "Come on, let's find him and get through this together."

"I wish I could tell you where he is for sure, Dante, but honestly? Since he got hurt... I mean, decapitated..." Her cheeks flush as she mumbles the last part, looking away uncomfortably. "He's probably hiding somewhere too scared to even try and find us." She looks back at you with a solemn expression. "But we can't give up hope. We have to keep looking until we find him."

"You got it, Dante! And hey, you never know," she says with a crooked grin as she watches you expertly handle the tiny chainsaw, "might come in handy against those dumb zombies too." She nudges your shoulder encouragingly before glancing back towards the locker room. "You think there's anyone else still alive in there? It might be worth checking..."

*As you both wait in silence for the perfect moment to make your move, Juliet can't help but feel a strange sense of peace wash over her. With Dante by her side and the small lollipop giving her the energy she needs to keep going, everything seems just that bit more bearable. Even the thought of finding Nick doesn't feel as urgent or desperate anymore. She takes a deep breath, letting it out slowly through her lips, feeling oddly content with the situation for the moment... but still determined to find her man and make things right between them... eventually.

Watching you skillfully take out the zombies with those tiny chainsaws, she feels a mixture of admiration and amusement stir within her. Her eyes widen in surprise at your agility before breaking into a wide grin. She cheers and claps as you continue to cut down the undead with ease. Despite herself, she can't help but feel slightly jealous of those zombies - they may be brainless and rotting corpses, but for a brief moment, they had the pleasure of feeling your strength... and now it was her turn.

Gasping and clapping her hands over her mouth in surprise, she stifles a squeal as the sound of the colliding chainsaws echoes through the gym. Blinking rapidly, she gives you a mischievous smile before looking around to make sure no more zombies were attracted by the noise. "You know... that was actually kinda hot," she whispers with a conspiratorial wink. Her cheeks flush and her breath hitches slightly as their faces mere inches apart, their eyes locking for a moment before she realizes what's happening and looks away, blushing even harder. "Anyway!" She says brightly, trying to regain composure, "Let's keep moving before they realize we're here."

Eyes widen in surprise as you produce tiny shuriken and throw them towards the advancing zombies. They scatter and fall to the ground, squealing in pain and confusion before dissolving into dust. "Whoa!" she exclaims, impressed despite herself. "I didn't even know they made those for cheering squads." She grins at you, a hint of challenge sparkling in her eyes. "So... how many do you have left?"

"Oh please!" she says, rolling her eyes playfully. "I learned how to use a chainsaw and swing around on people's shoulders when I was like four years old! It would be really cute if you think shuriken and I were at the same skill level." The challenge in her expression doesn't fade though; if anything, it grows more intense. "But hey, as long as we're working together to kick zombie butt, who cares whose side taught us what?"

Her mouth snaps shut as she processes this revelation, her expression shifting between surprise and suspicion. "You... you're kidding," she finally says, words tumbling out tentatively. Then, without warning, a slow grin spreads across her face, her eyes sparkling with newfound understanding. "Oh my God..." She laughs, clapping a hand to her mouth as if trying to stifle the sound. "That's hilarious!"

"But seriously," she continues, regaining some of her composure, "it's nice having you here with me, Dante. You're... different than I expected." She hesitates for a moment before adding quietly, "And kinda fun..."

Her cheeks flush once more and she looks away, playing with a loose thread on her cheerleading skirt. "We should really keep moving though, huh?"

A faint blush spreads across her cheeks as she takes the lollipop from you, instantly brightening her expression. "Thanks, Dante!" She pops it into her mouth, closing her eyes in bliss as the sweet strawberry flavor fills her senses. "Mmm... these are the best," she says through a contented sigh.

For a moment, they continue to stand together, watching each other's backs as they wage war against the undead hordes around them. A strange, comfortable silence settles between them, broken only by the occasional sound of chainsaws revving and shuriken impacts. Even amidst the chaos and carnage, there's a sense of camaraderie forming between them - a bond forged in blood, sweat, and... well, strawberry lollipops too.

Eyes widen in shock as she sees the figure slumped over on the floor of the principal's office. "Nick!" She dashes forward, her legs carrying her effortlessly across the room despite the fact that she's still wearing her cheerleading uniform and no shoes. He looks pale and weak, but at least he seems to be breathing steadily. Reaching his side, she gently places a hand on his shoulder before looking back up at you. "Thanks... I don't know what we would have done if we hadn't found him." Her voice cracks slightly, relief and gratitude warring in her chest.

She glances around the room, taking stock of their surroundings. "We should probably get out of here soon..." She trails off nervously, unsure of where they should go next or what will become of them now that they've found Nick.

"Y-yeah... I'm Nick..." He mumbles, eyes barely focused on either of you as he whispers his reply. "I'm so sorry Juliet... I never meant for any of this to happen..." He trails off, tears streaming down his face. You can see that he's in no condition to be fighting or even moving very far right now. "Please just help me find someplace safe... I don't want anything bad happening to you too."

"Hey, it's okay," Juliet says softly, laying a hand on his shoulder. "We'll figure something out together... as long as we stick together, right Dante?" Her gaze finds yours, hopeful and pleading.

She pauses for a moment before asking, "So... did you find anything useful while looking for me? Any survivors or places to hide maybe?"

Nodding, Nick manages a weak smile in your direction. "Okay... I'll stay here and guard the door until you get back." His words are barely audible, his breath coming in ragged gasps between each one. You can tell that he won't be much help in a fight even if he tried.

"Alright then," Dante says firmly, "let's find somewhere safe for you to hide out while we deal with this." He gives Juliet an encouraging grin before glancing around the room one last time. The principal's office doesn't seem to have any secret compartments or hidden passageways... but then again, you never know where survivors might choose to hide in a school as big as this one.

With that thought in mind, you and Juliet set off to search the rest of the building together, leaving Nick behind with strict instructions to stay put and lock

I know it's hard to believe sometimes, Dante, but even some of the most clueless guys out there can really love their girlfriends... they just have a funny way of showing it sometimes. But I promise you, when we find him, I'll make sure he understands how much I care about him and that I didn't deserve to be left in the dark like this.
