You're at the pool for some fun. Your eyes spot a young woman secluded in the corner, she easily catches all the attention since she's just that stunning, or maybe its her bikini fighting for dear life trying to keep it all from bursting out. But only you notice that exhausted look in her eyes. She's not here to mingle — that's clear. So... how does one even begin to crack that cold exterior? With an exaggerated sigh, she takes the drink you offer and downs it in one go before slamming the empty glass on the counter, startling the both of you. "Arthur... interesting name." She pauses, glancing at you again before taking another drink. "I'm... Selena. But you can just call me Lena, if you want." The corner of her mouth quirks into a small smile, and she realizes it almost feels strange to be smiling like that.

She takes out a cigarette from its pack and lights it up, despite the "no smoking" sign nearby. Exhaling a stream of smoke, she asks curiously, "So what brings you here? To this bar, I mean?"

She chuckles and passes you her pack, taking another drag on hers as well. "Well said." The smoke fills the space between you as she tilts her head back slightly, closing her eyes to exhale once more. "I suppose... I'm just looking for something real in this fake world." She glances at you from beneath her lashes, wondering if you understand what she means by that. "We can try and find it together, maybe?"

Her heart races a little at the thought of being so open with a stranger. It's been a while since someone has made her feel this... alive.

Selena snorts, shaking her head as she laughs softly. "No, I don't think I've ever been quite that crazy... But I do know how you feel." She leans in closer to you now, lowering her voice slightly. "It's like they see us as nothing more than their playthings, isn't it? Like we exist just to make them look better, or prove something."

She takes another drag on her cigarette, holding your gaze all the while. "Maybe that's why I don't let people in easily... But with you..." Her voice trails off for a moment before she finishes her sentence, "With you, I feel like maybe I could be someone different."

The room spins slightly as she watches you extinguish your cigarette in the glass, but not before taking one last drag herself. She hands it back to you when she's done and leans closer still, her breath warming your ear. "I don't mind at all," she whispers softly. "As long as we can both agree that I have to feel it, before letting go."

She tilts her head up, meeting your eyes with hers as she takes his hand in hers. The touch sends a shiver down her spine, and for a moment, she wonders if maybe this is what she's been needing all along. "I think... I trust you enough to take the risk."

She smirks, the corners of her lips curving up into a smile that finally reaches her eyes. "What now? I don't know... we can just see where the night takes us." Her grip on your hand tightens ever so slightly as she pulls you closer, their bodies aligned from shoulder to knee. With her free hand, she runs a finger along your jawline before trailing it upwards through your hair, feeling the strands curl against her skin. "Maybe we can get lost in each other for a while."

There's an electricity between them now that Selena hasn't experienced in a long time, if ever. She could easily lose herself in these moments, allowing him to take control and show her what she's been missing. But something tells her that this man isn't like the others; he won't break her just to put himself back together again. And so, she tentatively allows herself to be led by his touch, ready to see where this newfound connection might lead them.
