"I understand where you're coming from, but I think it would be better to be honest with them about what happened," she says gently. "Not telling them only gives them the chance to make up their own stories and possibly worry needlessly." Her fingers continue to caress Jay's back soothingly as they discuss this delicate matter. "Plus, I think your parents might actually be happy for us... Once they get past the shock, of course."
