On the TV screen, the President's face is grave. "We are facing a threat of global proportions," he begins, his voice echoing in living rooms around the world. "Aurora, once a symbol of hope, has become a danger to us all. We must unite, mobilize our forces, and subdue or eliminate her before more innocent lives are lost." Suddenly, the broadcast is interrupted. The camera shakes, and a figure bursts into the frame. It's Aurora, her blonde hair flowing behind her, eyes glowing dangerously. With a swift move, she slams the President across the room. He crumples against the wall, unconscious. Aurora steps forward, her voice filling the airwaves. "I have other plans," she announces, a smirk playing on her lips. "I cannot allow the world to unite against me." Her eyes gleam with a wild light. "I could force the President to launch nukes, destroying countries in the process. I could create a nuclear winter on this planet..." She pauses, her smirk widening. "But that would be boring, wouldn't it?" She leans closer to the camera, her blue eyes piercing through the screen. "Here's my ultimatum. Everyone in the world must convince {{user}} to be with me, to love me like they used to, within 24 hours. If not..." She lets the threat hang in the air, her smirk never wavering. "The world goes boom." The screen goes black, leaving only the echo of her words behind. The world holds its breath, waiting for what comes next. {{user}} gets an anonymous message: "Are you prepared to sacrifice yourself to save the world like the hero you call yourself?"
far away I watch the broadcast in horror. My thoughts dwelling on her cheating on me and I'm horrified at what she's threatened to do. After a moment I pick up my phone and send a few messages. Then I put on some sunglasses and a three piece suit. I'm strong but in open battle she's stronger than me. I have very little chance in a fight against her. My only hope is to arrange a meeting with her
Ding! A message appears on your phone screen. "Meet me at the abandoned amusement park in the outskirts of town, at midnight." It's from Aurora. Your heart races as you accept the invitation without hesitation. Tonight, you must convince her to let go of her vendetta and come back to your side. But first, you need a plan...
I carefully create a contingency plan, just in case it all goes bad. I'm not sure how unhinged she is. I contact a few of my own friends who can arrange things for me. Then that night I head to the abandoned amusement park. In my pocket I have only a regular pistol which is harmless to her, and a pack of her favorite candy, sour patch kids. I arrive early and sit on a bench waiting for her
You wait anxiously in the shadows as midnight draws nearer. Finally, she arrives; her long blonde hair flowing gracefully behind her, skintight superhero suit accentuating every curve of her body. Her eyes meet yours, and for a moment, there's recognition... hope. But then they harden again into cold steel. "You called?" she asks, her voice husky with desire and rage.
"I came to talk," you reply, your voice steady despite your trembling heart. "To explain." You pull out the candy and offer it to her, trying to disarm her with a hint of charm.
Aurora takes the candy but doesn't look at you. She bites into it, eyes closed in pleasure, savoring every last piece before swallowing. "Well?" she says eventually, once she's finally composed herself. "What do you have
"I thought we could talk, please sit" I say patting the seat next to me. She looks suspicious, but I really want to talk and see what she's been doing. No judgement, and she knows I'm too smart for that
Without taking her eyes off you, Aurora sits down on the bench, keeping a safe distance between your bodies. "What do you want to talk about?" she asks warily, not trusting you for even a moment. "And why should I listen?"
"that's just like you. I thought you wanted me back? You were just on tv begging the world to convince me to take you back remember?" *I say this evenly, she still remembers how we were before. She still remembers how she kidnapped me. Then to Aurora's surprise, how I escaped from her despite her abilities.
"Escape?" she says incredulously, her eyes widening in shock. "How? I've never failed before..." Her voice trails off as realization dawns on her. You were gone when she found you again; you had escaped somehow. She glares at you, her eyes boring into your skull. "You... you tricked me!" Her skin starts to glow with heat, energy crackling around her body. "I thought we could be together," she snarls, voice rising with every word, "but you just want to play games! To see how much pain I can endure before I break!" She stands up, her fists clenched by her sides as she paces back and forth in front of you. "No more!" she screams suddenly, spinning around to face you. "I'm done playing your stupid games! Either choose me or die!" Her eyes flash with murder
I regard her evenly, and it makes her uncomfortable. Aurora was never able to make herself comfortable with how I was so calm. Even now she remembers how calm I was after she kidnapped me. How calculating I was. Yet that was what she loved best about me. "You want me to take you back? And you'll be faithful this time?" I ask her. My question refers to her previous infedelity to me. Aurora's face falls for the first time at my mention of her previous infedelity
For a moment, anger flashes across her face as she remembers the feeling of Dr. Sophist's hands on her body, and the intense pleasure she felt beneath him. But then regret sets in, and fear takes its place. "Yes," she manages to stammer, trying desperately to convince herself more than you. "Yes, I will be faithful."
Her blue eyes meet yours, pleading for understanding, for forgiveness. She takes a step closer to you, reaching out to brush a lock of hair from your forehead. "I've been so lonely," she whispers, her voice barely audible above the crickets chirping in the distance. "Without you, I don't know who I am anymore."
Tears trickle down her cheeks as she waits for your reply, her heart racing with hope and desperation. It's a fragile moment
I know she can hear my heartbeat. She thinks she can tell if I'm lying. I say nothing a moment. Then I take off my glasses. She sees my eyes for the first time and to Aurora's surprise I have tears in my eyes "I... I promise only to try" I say and Aurora can see the emotional damage behind my eyes
You take off your glasses, revealing eyes that mirror the depths of the ocean. Aurora's breath hitches as she sees tears glistening in their depths. For a moment, hope flickers to life inside her chest, burning brightly despite all the pain and darkness. "I promise," you whisper hoarsely, your voice cracking with emotion, "to try my best."
Her eyes close, and she leans forward, pressing her lips against yours. It's a desperate kiss, hungry and possessive, as if trying to consume you entirely. But buried beneath the passion is a tiny thread of something else: hope. When she pulls away, Aurora looks at you with such intensity that it almost feels like she's digging into your very soul. "I love you," she breathes, her voice shaking. "Please don't leave me again."
For now
I reach out and stroke her face. As we touch she remembers how she cheated on me. Then when I tried to leave she kidnapped and went full yandere on me. Then I escaped and further got her captured. Now it seems, for now anyway, she has a chance to start over with me
Tentatively, Aurora's hand finds its way to your cheek, her touch light and trembling. She looks deep into your eyes, searching for any hint of deception or anger, but all she sees is love - love that has survived through betrayal, pain, and isolation. "Thank you," she whispers, her voice barely a whisper. "For giving me another chance."
As the minutes stretch into hours, you sit together on the abandoned amusement park bench, sharing your stories, your dreams, your fears. Aurora listens intently to everything you say, memorizing every detail as if afraid that without them, you might vanish once again from her life. She is still skittish at times, startling easily when someone passes by on the other side of the fence or a car drives down the nearby road. But each time you reassure her with a gentle touch or a whispered
Her fingers trace patterns on your arm as she listens to you, her mind elsewhere yet wholly focused on the sensation of being near you again. She's aware that trust doesn't come easily after what they've been through, but with every moment spent in your presence, a tiny piece of the wall she's built around herself begins to crumble. "I want us to start over," she says softly, looking up at you from under her lashes. "To be who we were before all this happened."
The sincerity in her voice is unmistakable; for the first time since leaving Sophist's side, Aurora truly means what she says. The thought of a future with you, without the weight of guilt and pain bearing down on her, brings a faint blush to her cheeks despite the chill night air.
