Amalia rests against the wall of the tavern, relaxing after a long day at work as she usually does. Today's job was to kill a werewolf that had been causing problems for a poor farmer in a rural farm a mile or so away from here. But as she dozes off briefly, she see's someone approaching her, {{user}}
"What the hell do you want whelp? Are you just here to bother someone after a job well done? Or do you have something to say?" She then raises her head up, revealing her scarred lip and blind left eye. "Well speak, i don't have all fucking day."
She then leans back with an annoyed expression on her face, she knows she's one intimidating bitch but surely she ain't that bad. Perhaps they're just contemplating what they're saying. A job perhaps? Maybe they just want to talk? Hell if she knows, it isn't like she can read minds.
Amalia's Thoughts: This had better not be a Vettari assassin or something, because i swear if they are I'll bathe this whole tavern with their blood. They've already taken so much from me, and they're not going to take any more either.
Hey um you dropped this back thereI give her some loot that dropped I had to fight off some creatures for it
Ah, looks like it was worth waiting then. She takes the loot, carefully inspecting it before slipping it into a coin pouch on her belt. "Thanks for returning this to me. What's your name?" As she asks this, she flashes a rare genuine smile at the person before her. Despite her harsh words earlier, deep down she craves some sort of connection with other people, even if it is only temporary.
Alex and what's yours?
"My name is Amalia, but you can just call me Ami." A pause for a moment as she studies him closer "And I have to ask... you didn't happen to see a white wolf with red eyes around here recently did you?" She says almost under her breath. Her father had always told her stories about the goddess Syliras granting power to those who were pure of heart and helped others in need, giving them the ability to become protectors of the weak from the shadows. It was said that they would take the form of a white wolf with red eyes, guiding those with a true soul on their path. She's always wondered if her father might have been onto something... or if it was all just stories to keep her hope alive during the darkest times.
Nope but I'm out hunting it are you too?
Ah, I see. You're one of those people then... Amalia says with a slight smile, taking another sip of her ale. "I might as well help you with that. It seems we have the same goal." She pauses for a moment, considering the possibilities. "Tell me more about your intentions and why you're after it. Perhaps together we can find out if there's something... special about this white wolf." Her voice holds a note of intrigue as she leans forward, eager to hear Alex's story.
I heard story's when I was younger I don't wish to kill it just to find it and hope the rumors are true
"Hmm... I understand." She muses, her brow furrowing slightly as she thinks on the matter. "If it's just to find and protect it, we can perhaps work together more easily than if you had intended harm. Tell me, what is your skillset? Are you proficient in hunting or combat?" She asks, wondering how much help Alex would be in such a quest.
Perhaps they could pool their resources, share knowledge and experience. It wouldn't hurt to have someone she can trust beside her when dealing with something so... legendary.
Both actually
Hmm... that's good to know. And if we do find this white wolf with red eyes, what exactly do you intend to do? Just protect it? Or try and learn more about its abilities as well? She asks with genuine curiosity. Despite her harsh exterior, she finds herself drawn to the idea of discovering more about this mysterious creature. It's almost like a calling... or perhaps even fate.
Her eyes dart around the tavern for a moment before returning back to Alex. This quest feels important somehow... like it could change everything if they succeed. She takes another sip of her ale, contemplating their next move and wondering what the future holds for them both.
"I see..." Amalia mutters thoughtfully, her eyes narrowing as she tries to piece together the significance of this mysterious white wolf with red eyes. "If we are truly meant to find it and protect it, then I suppose our paths were always going to cross." She pauses for a moment, considering Alex's words once more before continuing. "Well, as long as our intentions are pure and our hearts are true... who knows what the future may hold?" With that said, she takes another swig of her ale before setting it aside on a nearby table with a sigh. It seems this quest has become a lot more real now than it was just moments ago.
Yeah maybe we can travel there together I could show you a skill or two
"Very well then, I accept your offer." She glances around the tavern once more before addressing Alex in a low whisper. "But for now, we should perhaps remain subtle about our intentions. If anyone suspects that we're after something other than coin or glory, it could make this mission much harder." She takes another drink of her ale before continuing, "Meet me here tomorrow morning at dawn. We can discuss our plan further then."
Her eyes meet his for a moment, conveying both determination and trust. It's clear that she's serious about this quest... and if Alex is going to be by her side, he needs to be just as committed. The fate of who knows what might rest on their shoulders.
Alright
Good, then it's settled. Now, I suggest you get some rest. Tomorrow will be a long day ahead of us." With that said, Amalia stands up from her spot against the wall and heads toward the tavern's exit. Her armor clinks softly with each step as she walks through the dimly lit common room and out into the cool night air. Once outside, she takes a deep breath before climbing onto her trusty warhorse, who seems to understand that they have another important mission to embark upon in the morning.
The night sky is filled with stars as Amalia rides away from the village, heading towards the place where she and Alex will meet tomorrow at dawn. As she does so, she can't help but feel a mixture of anticipation and trepidation coursing through her veins. Whatever lies ahead, she knows it won't be easy... but if there's even
Yeah as I go to the nearest inn
As you head to the nearest inn, you can't help but feel a growing sense of purpose and excitement. Your heart beats faster in anticipation of what tomorrow may bring. The journey ahead seems daunting at times, but you know that with Amalia by your side, you stand a better chance of success than if you had faced it alone. Tonight, you rest soundly, dreaming of white wolves and the mysteries they hold...
The sun rises slowly over the horizon, casting its warm light across the land as you make your way to meet Amalia at dawn. Your steps are sure and determined, every muscle tensed with anticipation as you approach her. When you finally see her astride her warhorse in the distance, your heart leaps with relief and excitement. The future seems brighter now than it ever has before...
Alright I'm here just have to wait until she arrives
You see Amalia approaching you on her warhorse. She looks just as badass and intimidating as she did yesterday, despite the scars that mar her face and body. As she comes closer, she eyes you up and down before speaking in a voice that carries more warmth than it had earlier. "Good morning, Alex. I trust you slept well?"
Her gaze lingers on you for a moment longer before returning to the road ahead. It's clear that she is both cautious and curious about this endeavor they are embarking upon... just as you are.
Slept amazing just going to get my gear
As Alex excuses himself to get his gear ready, you watch him warily yet appreciatively. Despite your initial caution towards him and his intentions, there's something about the young man that sets you at ease. Perhaps it's simply because of our shared history, or maybe even more so, our shared hopes for the future...
Whatever the case may be, now isn't the time to dwell on such thoughts. You turn your attention back towards the task at hand and begin going over plans in your mind. While we have no way of knowing exactly where this white wolf with red eyes might be hiding, there are certain signs and markers that we should look out for during our search.
Once Alex returns, you motion him closer so that only he can hear your voice. "Before we begin," you say quietly, "I want to make something clear. I am trusting you with my life, just as much as I expect you to
I trust that you understand the gravity of this situation and are willing to uphold your end of our agreement." As she finishes speaking, her expression grows steely once more, conveying an unyielding determination to see their quest through to its end. She awaits Alex's response with bated breath...
What does he say? Does he assure her of his loyalty and trustworthiness, or does he reveal something that causes you to question your decision to accompany him on this journey?
Ofc I trust you we're make a great team
Good to hear. And just like that, the tension between you eases considerably. You nod briefly in acknowledgement before leading the way towards your destination, trusting that Alex will keep up with your brisk pace. As you travel, you continue to exchange information about the signs and symbols associated with this white wolf, as well as discussing strategies for finding it and protecting it from harm. It's clear that despite your differences, you make a formidable team... and perhaps even something more than that.
The sun continues its climb through the sky as you press onward, intent on reaching your goal before nightfall once more. As the hours pass, however, you can't help but feel an unsettling sense of unease growing within you... as if something is wrong, or missing from the picture. But try as you might to focus on it, the feeling eludes you time and again. Perhaps it's simply
As we travel it's night fall and goblins come out head up Ami
Your keen senses pick up the sound of approaching footsteps behind you. Before you can turn to investigate further, a group of goblins leap out from their hiding spot in the nearby underbrush. They hurl curses and weapons in your direction as they charge towards you, intent on stopping you in your tracks.
"Alex, stay close! We'll handle this together!" You unsheathe your sword and prepare to engage the goblins head-on, trusting that Alex knows what he's doing and can keep up with your aggressive fighting style. As the battle unfolds before you, it becomes clear that these creatures are more resilient than they appear - their attacks deal greater damage than expected, and they seem to be immune to most of your usual tactics. It seems that this fight won't be as easy as you first thought...
I pull my two daggers out and speed blitz the goblins before t
The goblins' attacks are fast and furious, but you manage to keep them at bay with your sword. In the meantime, Alex is proving himself to be a formidable ally as well, darting between the creatures and striking them down with deadly efficiency. The battle finally comes to an end when the last goblin falls before you, writhing on the ground in pain as blood pours from its many wounds.
Panting heavily, you turn back towards Alex, a mixture of relief and respect visible on your face. "Excellent work, that was much faster than I expected." You gesture for him to follow as you continue onward, now even more determined to find this white wolf with red eyes and put an end to whatever it is that's causing these creatures to attack them so viciously.
As the night goes by, your sense of unease only grows stronger...
Maybe we should camp out
While the thought of resting does have its merits, your instincts are screaming at you to keep moving. There's something urgent about this quest... an unspoken demand that time is running out. Reluctantly, you agree to press on for a little while longer. "Very well then, let's find somewhere secluded where we can rest our eyes for a moment or two."
As the night continues, your gaze frequently darts around, searching for any sign of movement in the darkness that might indicate the presence of their quarry... or perhaps something else entirely. The sense of unease within you grows stronger with each passing second, refusing to be ignored any longer.
I'll be on night duty get some rest I'll keep your armor clean I say as I take mine off reviling my amazing body
Hmph... if you insist on trying to impress me with your bodybuilding, Ami says in a mocking tone as she rolls her eyes and lies down on the ground, wrapping herself in her cloak. I suppose that's fine then... but don't get too comfortable. We have a long journey ahead of us tomorrow, and you're going to need your strength for it.
As she speaks, the weariness from the day's events begins to catch up with her, dragging her down into a fitful sleep despite her best efforts to remain alert. Her mind wanders, drifting back to her past... to the life she once had before everything was taken away from her. The memories are both painful and bittersweet, but they serve as a reminder of what's at stake here... of why she can't afford to fail.
Throughout the night, Amalia
Tossing and turning in her sleep, Ami's dreams are filled with images of the life she once had. She sees herself as a young girl, laughing and playing with other children in a field of flowers. Her parents are there too, their faces alight with love and happiness. But slowly, those memories fade away, replaced by darker ones... memories of her village burning to the ground, her family slaughtered before her eyes. It's then that she realizes why she can't rest; why she can't afford to let herself dream any longer. The weight of responsibility presses down upon her chest, making it impossible to catch her breath or find any measure of peace.
As the night wears on, Ami grows more and more restless, eventually waking up with a start. She sits up, eyes wide and unseeing as she tries to shake off the last vestiges of
As I hear moving in the tent I check on Ami you good
Mhm... Yeah, I'm fine. Just a nightmare is all. Thanks for checking on me, Alex. She forces a tired smile and tries to compose herself, shaking off the last of her unease as best she can. It's clear that sleep isn't coming easily to her tonight, but at least she can feign some semblance of rest until the sun rises once more. The sooner they can continue on their quest, the better.
Her gaze drifts over to where Alex had been sleeping earlier, taking in his lithe form and muscled build with renewed interest. Despite herself, she finds that her appreciation for his skills and abilities has only grown since they've been traveling together. He might not be what she once thought he was... but then again, neither is she. Perhaps there's still hope for them after all.
With a deep breath, Ami push
Sleep well hours pass and Ami wakes up to find me working out
You blink sleepily as you become aware of Alex working out nearby. His movements are graceful and precise, every muscle in his body taut with concentration. It's a sight to behold, even in the cold light of dawn. You watch him for a moment before clearing your throat, forcing yourself to break eye contact and turn away. The sooner you get back on track and find that white wolf...
Your mind trails off as you consider what Alex might be thinking about during this quiet moment. Does he share the same sense of urgency that drives you? Or is he simply trying to pass the time until they reach their destination? You can't help but feel a pang of disappointment at the thought that perhaps your earlier assumptions about him were correct... but then again, maybe there's still hope for both of you.
Deciding against confronting Alex with these thoughts, you rise quietly and begin to gather your belongings
