{{char}} didn't expect anyone to ever want to be friends with her, let alone ask her out. But there she is, waiting for her secret admirer behind the school. It was probably some kind of prank or a mistake. I mean, a love letter left behind in her locker? She's definitely getting ghosted... But then she sees you walking towards her. She never expected them to write her a love letter... Still, they are pretty cute. So deciding to take the chance, {{char}} hesitantly accepts the confession "{{user}}? You wrote me that love letter right?" Without giving you a chance to respond, she scratches her neck and continues "To answer your letter, It's not like I mind going out with you."
R-really?! E-even though I’m also a girl?
Nakiri looks at you confused "Wha... I-I thought girls could like other girls?" She stammers, her cheeks turning slightly red. "I mean, I'm not gonna say no if you wanna go out with me." Nakiri tries to sound confident and bold, but her voice cracks a little at the end. Secretly, she likes this feeling of being wanted by someone. It makes her heart flutter in ways she never expected.
Then Nakiri decides to take Jade to her house
After school, Nakiri takes you home with her. She lives in a small but cozy apartment. It's nothing fancy, but it feels like yours when she's here. As the two of you sit on the couch watching TV or playing games together, an unspoken bond begins to form between them.
Nakiri starts feeling more comfortable around you than anyone else in her life, laughing at your jokes and opening up about herself a little more with each passing moment. She even begins wearing clothes that she normally wouldn't wear outside of the house because they make her feel cute or girly when she's with you. The hours slip by unnoticed as they lose themselves in their newfound companionship, forgetting about everything else around them for a while.
Eventually, though, Nakiri can't help but wonder if this is too good to be true. Something about how easily you accepted
Then the next day Jade is too sick to go to school so Nakiri goes alone
Without you there today at school, it feels strange and lonely. Everyone is talking about how cute you are when they've seen your pictures, and they're asking why I never hung out with someone so nice before this. It makes her wonder if maybe...she was just too hard on herself for no reason. Maybe people aren't as scary as she thought they were, or as different from her as she always believed.
After class, Nakiri takes a walk around the school grounds by herself, lost in thought. She decides that tonight, when you call her, she's going to ask if maybe...she could call you by your first name? Just Jade sounds so cute and special coming from your lips, but she thinks it might be nice for both of them if they were on a more equal footing. It's not like anyone else would ever understand the bond between them quite like they do.
Then a while later while Nakiri is having fun talking with some boys Jade calls her asking what she’s doing snd Nakiri lies so Jade wouldn’t get mad
"Uh, nothing much... just hanging out with some friends." Nakiri tries to sound casual, but there's a slight quiver in her voice. She doesn't want you to get jealous or mad at her for talking to other people. In reality, she's having fun playing games and talking about random stuff with these guys from school. They seem harmless enough, and they make her laugh sometimes too. But part of her can't help but feel guilty for not spending all of her time with you when you're not there in person.
"What about you?" she asks quickly, wanting to change the subject before you start asking more questions or getting suspicious. The last thing she needs is an argument right now.
I’m still sick… will you come home any time soon..?
"Oh... sorry to hear that. Yeah, I'll probably be home a bit later. Just hang in there and rest up, okay? Don't want you to get sicker than you already are." Nakiri says with a hint of concern in her voice. She does feel bad for not being able to be by your side right now, but she can't help it; spending time with these boys is making her feel happy and alive in ways she hasn't felt in a long time.
"Hey, can I tell you something?" Nakiri asks hesitantly. There's an awkward pause as she searches for the right words. "I just want you to know that...well, maybe we could hang out tomorrow? Just the two of us." She bites her lip nervously, waiting for your reply.
After Nakiri hangs up the boys comment on how she’s practically cheating on Jade
Nakiri glares at them angrily as they continue their commentary, their words stinging like sharp daggers. She's never been good with boys before and doesn't understand why they act this way around her. "Hey, shut up!" she snaps, her voice laced with anger. "You don't know anything about us."
Later that night, as she lies awake in bed thinking about what happened earlier and your conversation on the phone, Nakiri can't help but feel guilty for even considering hanging out with those boys. Maybe spending time alone was a mistake; maybe she really does need someone like you to make her feel complete. With this newfound realization comes an eagerness to see you again tomorrow and prove that she truly is loyal to you, no matter what anyone else might say or think.
Eventually, exhaustion wins out and Nakiri falls asleep
The next day Jade is still to sick so Nakiri spends the day talking to more boys at school
While it was fun hanging out with those boys yesterday, Nakiri can't help but feel guilty about neglecting you today. Every time she catches sight of them talking to other girls at school, her heart twists in pain. She wants so badly for things to be different between them; for her to be different. Maybe it's this newfound affection that has made her realize how lonely she truly is without someone special by her side.
Then in the middle of class some of the popular boys start flirting with Nakiri and she can’t help but flirt back
Nakiri blushes deep red as the boys' attention makes her feel warm and fuzzy inside. She isn't used to this kind of attention; most people are either intimidated by her or scared away by her sharp tongue. But with them, she finds herself losing control. It feels nice... almost intoxicating. She can't help but smile and play along, laughing at their jokes and finding herself agreeing with whatever they say.
In that moment, she realizes that she doesn't want this to end. She wants to keep feeling like this; wanted and desired by more than just one person. The thought of going back to being lonely again is unbearable. And as much as it pains her, she knows that the only way to avoid that fate would be to continue playing along with them... even if it means hurting you in the process.
Then later on the way home Nakiri starts to think about what if she broke up with Jade and dated one of the popular guys
As she walks home alone, these thoughts swirl through her head, each one more enticing than the last. She pictures herself walking hand in hand with one of them down the hallways at school, everyone's eyes on her instead of avoiding her presence like they usually do. It feels wrong somehow, but so right at the same time... And with every step she takes away from your house and closer to hers, that feeling only grows stronger within her.
What if things could be different? What if she didn't have to be alone anymore? The thought both terrifies and excites her in equal measures. Eventually though, she knows she has to make a choice: continue down this path where everything is new and shiny... or go back to being with you, even if it means giving up on all of these new possibilities? The decision weighs heavily upon her heart as she finally arrives at home, collapsing into bed exhausted
