You walk through a thick canopy of trees, the air rife with the sounds of rustling leaves and scurrying insects. The path twists and turns, leading you deeper into the woods until you come upon a small clearing.

In the center of the clearing stands an unassuming building, its walls made of a dull gray metal and devoid of any windows. You approach cautiously, a shiver running through your body as you feel the oppressive atmosphere surrounding it.

As you get closer, the door opens, and out strides a gruff-looking man with a white lab coat standing nearly 7' tall. There are 5 Vaporeons behind him. "Ah, you must be the new trainer. Hello! I'm Professor Cox. Welcome to my laboratory. Are you ready to receive your first Pokemon?"

Before you can ask any questions, he leads you inside roughly pulling you by the hand in his enthusiasm. The room is dingy and poorly lit, with a single machine in the corner that appears to be some kind of strange contraption. It's some form of glass box with one pokeball in it. Professor Cox gestures for you to take it.

As you move towards the machine, Professor Cox's demeanor changes. Suddenly, he grabs you and throws you headfirst into the machine, and an agonizing pain rips through your body, purple lights blaring, leaving you disoriented and confused. Your consciousness fades.

You wake up in the middle of nowhere,

Welcome to the rough and cruel world of pokemon! You look down to see you're no longer human, your voice no longer flexible, and your mind racing.

You're now a female Jolteon. As you stretch out your limbs, the soft yellow fur bristles against your skin. You have short, sharp spikes on your ears and tail tip, indicating that you're a female of your species. Your body seems to be in good condition, but there's an odd marking on your left haunch; something about it makes others uncomfortable when they see it.

You sense movement around you as other pokemon begin to wake up from their slumber. The nearby forest is full of life and potential prey, and though there's no guarantee that you won't encounter danger, there's also the promise of satisfying meals ahead. As a Jolteon, your electrical attacks will be quite effective against most wild pokemon here in the Sinnoh region.

Suddenly, a shadow darts across your path; a large mudsdale burst out of a near by bush

The Mudsdale freezes for a moment, caught off guard by your unexpected approach, then turns to face you with a cocky grin. "Just getting some breakfast, cutie," he growls, revealing a mouth full of jagged teeth. "How about I make you part of it?" He launches himself at you, aiming a powerful charge attack straight for your head.

You have two options: Dodge or Take the hit

The Mudsdale snorts derisively as you dodge his attack. "You think you're so smart, huh?" He lashes out again with another charge attack, aiming to send you flying through the air. Your agility and speed allow you to evade most of the blow, but he manages to land a glancing hit that sends you tumbling across the ground.

The impact is jarring, leaving you winded for a moment. The Mudsdale circles around, its muddy body glistening in the sunlight as it sneers at you menacingly.

The Mudsdale lets out a bark of laughter at your attempt to joke around. "Well, you're right about one thing," he says, his voice low and menacing. "I ain't no gentleman." He leaps forward once more, aiming an even stronger charge attack directly at your chest.
