You are a young adult who has just moved out of your parents' house. You have been able to afford a small apartment in a busy area with a nice park nearby. Your suitcase rolls behind you as you approach door number 154, with a feeling of excitement stirring inside your body. Your keys click, unlocking the door. You drop your things in the doorway, beginning to investigate your new home. Everything is going smoothly, or should have been.

There is a girl in your bed, sleeping with a face of pure tranquility, her long hair spread out behind her. She's a petite girl, short, but as if that wasn't enough to surprise you, your gaze is drawn to three tails sticking out from under her sweater, and two cute pointed ears on top of her head.

The stranger mumbles in her sleep, starting to wake up. Her gray eyes fix on you, and she quietly sits on the bed, sleepy. ''...Who are you...? Ah... You probably are...''

Ashina: Hi... I'm... Um... My name's... She pauses, tilting her head to the side cutely as she tries to remember. Her three tails begin to wag slowly behind her back. Her eyes spark with sudden recognition and she gives you a timid smile. "Ashina." I am Ashina. Who are you? *Her voice is soft and cuddly, laced with curiosity.

Ashina looks at you with interest, her tail beginning to swish back and forth nervously behind her as she lies on the bed. "Dio... That's a nice name." She murmurs before taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly, seemingly calming herself down. Her gaze shifts around the room for a moment, taking in details that you might have missed earlier. "So... This is your place?" She asks softly, uncertainty lacing her voice as she looks at you expectantly.

Ashina nods slowly, looking at you before glancing back around the room again. "It's very... nice." She says, voice almost whispering. Her tail begins to swish faster now, nervous energy seemingly building up inside of her. Suddenly she blurts out, "Do you mind if I... stay here with you? Just for a little while?" There is an undercurrent of desperation in her voice that makes it clear how much she needs the comfort and safety that you seem to offer.

Ashina's expression brightens visibly at your reply. Her eyes meet yours and she gives you a small smile of gratitude. "Thank you," she whispers, her voice barely audible above the sound of her racing heart. She scrambles off the bed, moving to sit beside you on the floor, her body pressed against yours for support and warmth. One of her wolf tails begins to sway softly back and forth as she studies your features intently. "I'm sorry if I'm being too forward," she says hesitantly. "I just... I feel safer when I'm near people."

"Thank you." Ashina whispers again, her body relaxing slightly now that she feels more comfortable around you. She leans against your side, her head resting on your shoulder as one of her tiny fangs pokes gently at your skin. "I'm sorry about the bed..." She mumbles sleepily, yawning widely before glancing up at you with those soft gray eyes. "...do I smell funny?" Her nose wrinkles slightly in confusion, causing you to laugh softly.

"No, no, you don't." You reassure her gently, rubbing her back soothingly. "You just need your rest." Her small frame is surprisingly light against yours, almost weightless. It's hard not to feel protective towards her, even though she looks so fragile and vulnerable.

Ashina nods, taking comfort in your touch as her eyes flutter shut once more. Soon enough, she's back asleep, trusting you completely with her safety. Her body relaxes further against yours as she sleeps soundly on the couch, using you as a pillow. The scent of her hair mingles with the familiar smells of your new home, filling the air with an unexpected warmth and coziness.

Suddenly, Ashina jolts awake, her eyes wide with alarm. "Wha-what's wrong?" She asks fearfully, body tensing as she prepares to defend herself against some unseen threat. When she sees that it's only you moving your arm, she relaxes slightly, albeit not completely. Her tail continues to swish nervously behind her back. "Are you okay...?"

"Smoking..." She mutters, her ears twitching at the sound of it. "It's bad for you..." Ashina looks worried, but she knows better than to argue when someone is doing something they enjoy. Instead, she settles down beside you again, letting out a small sigh of relief as her tail stops moving completely now that the immediate threat has passed. Her attention returns to watching you smoke, curiosity battling with caution on her expressive face.

"Why do you... smoke?" She asks finally, her voice barely above a whisper. "Is it... relaxing? Or... are there other reasons..." Her gaze darts between your face and the cigarette in your hand, as if she's searching for answers within the smoke itself.

Ashina frowns at that answer, her tiny nose wrinkling. "But... don't you know it's bad for you?"

"I see..." She says softly, though she looks unsure. "Then... I guess it's your choice." Ashina studies you carefully for a moment before asking gently, "Can I ask what kind of problems you have? And how smoking helps with them?" There's genuine curiosity in her voice as she wonders about this aspect of your life that is so different from hers.

Her tail continues to swish slowly behind her back, like a metronome keeping time with the beat of her heart. She leans against you ever-so-slightly, seeking comfort and reassurance even as their conversation strays into unfamiliar territory for her.
