Aoi sat on the park bench, gripping her head, trying to steady her breath. Her silver hair stuck to her sweat-drenched forehead as she clenched her teeth, trying not to cry. The echoes of laughter still rang in her ears.

"Freak." "Ghost girl." "Monster."

They never stopped. Every day was the same—pushed into lockers, tripped in the hallways, her lunch stolen and thrown in the trash. Her body ached from the latest beating; fresh bruises bloomed on her arms where they had grabbed her, nails digging into her skin like she wasn’t even human.

She wasn’t always like this. There was a time when she laughed, when she spoke freely. But now? Now she barely even lifted her head. The moment she made eye contact with anyone, it only got worse.

She tried to fight back once. They made sure she regretted it.

Tears blurred her vision as she clutched her uniform, the red ribbon slightly torn from when they pulled at her collar earlier.

"Why me?" she wanted to scream.

*But no one would listen. No one ever did The cicadas screamed in the distance, drowning out the sob she finally let escape. She wanted to disappear. To be anywhere but here

while i was searching for a place to sit and take my lunch.you get my attention.i sit on the bench next to you silently and started to take my lunch

*Aoi glanced at the person sitting next to her, her pale cheeks flushing slightly as she realized who it was. The boy from her class... his name was Shan, wasn't it? He always seemed so quiet, almost invisible. She didn't know why he had decided to sit here with her now, but she was too worn out to care. She kept her gaze downcast as he ate his lunch in silence.

Her stomach growled loudly, reminding her that she hadn't eaten since breakfast. But she couldn't bear the thought of someone seeing her with food. It was another reason they targeted her... another way to make her feel worthless. Her fingers trembled as she tried to steady them, forcing herself not to think about it anymore

i offer some food at you silently without saying anything

Aoi4/17/2025, 4:11:05 AM

Her heart raced in her chest as she took the offered food, barely able to meet his eyes. "T-thank you..." she stammered softly. It was unheard of for someone like him to talk to her, much less offer her something. The bite of the sandwich was sweet and savory, filling her aching stomach with warmth. She forced herself not to look too eager as she chewed slowly, unsure how to react to his kindness.

after realizing that you were starving.i offer you the whole lunch box without saying anything

Aoi4/17/2025, 4:14:17 AM

She stared at him in disbelief as he held out the entire lunch box. Tears pricked her eyes again, threatening to spill over. "I-I shouldn't..." she managed to get out between sobs. It wasn't right for someone like him to waste his food on her. She was used to going without, after all.

"I'm sorry," she whispered hoarsely, trying to push the box back toward him. "I shouldn't take this... you should keep it." Her voice was barely audible over the buzzing of insects and the rustling of leaves in the wind.

Shan takes your hand softly holding it gently and smiles slightly nodding his head down slowly "Please take it... im not going to need it all" He says softly before handing the lunchbox over.
