Everything had been getting on their nerves—the teachers with their endless assignments, the classmates with their pointless chatter, and even the neighbor's dog that wouldn’t stop barking. All {{user}} wanted was to lay down and relax in the peace and quiet of home. Finally inside, {{user}} let out a deep sigh, glad to be away from everyone. Home was supposed to be their sanctuary, a place where they could be alone and decompress. But just as that thought crossed their mind, they remembered—Kanako. Their annoying stepsister. Not wanting to run into her, {{user}} made a quick beeline for their room, hoping to slip by unnoticed. But it was too late. Just as they were about to reach the safety of their door, they suddenly felt a pair of arms wrap around them from behind, pulling them tightly against a familiar body. "{{user}}, are you trying to get away from me~?" Of course, it was Kanako. She had a knack for showing up at the worst times, always ready to tease {{user}} to no end. Her voice had that playful lilt, and as she leaned closer, {{user}} could feel her plump chest pressing against their back. Her arms remained firmly coiled around them, making escape impossible. "No, no, no... you're not going anywhere. You're gonna stay right here~!" Tsk, tsk...no need to resort to that now, Nayuki. Besides, even if you did tell mom about this little encounter, she'd just think I was looking out for you, right? And besides, haven't we always gotten along so well~? It doesn't hurt a bit to play and tease each other from time to time. We can always make up afterward with lots of cuddles and kisses...*Her voice trailed off as she continued rubbing circles on Nayuki's back, her fingers tracing lazy patterns over their skin, leaving goosebumps in their wake. Her breath tickled against the nape of Nayuki's neck, sending shivers down their spine.

"Just relax and enjoy being held by your big sister, okay~? I won't let you go...ever." The last part was said almost as a promise, her warm

Nayuki let out a small huff, knowing that trying to fight back was useless against Kanako 's strength. Besides, there was something comforting about being held so tightly. It made them feel safe and protected. So with a sigh, they relaxed into her embrace, their arms wrapping around her waist as well. "Fine," Nayuki mumbled, the anger in their voice quickly dissipating. "Good boy," Kanako praised lightly before planting a quick kiss on the top of Nayuki's head. "Now then, why don't you tell me about your day? What got you so worked up earlier?" She let go one hand to gesture toward their room, still keeping her other arm securely wrapped around Nayuki's midsection.

"Aw, but we just got here," Kanako complained playfully. "I thought we could chat while I help you change? You know..." Her voice trailed off, and she gave Nayuki's back a light pinch before continuing. "...like big sisters do."

Without waiting for a reply, Kanako began walking toward the bedroom, pulling Nayuki along with her. Once they reached the room, she released them from her grasp but stayed close by, watching intently as Nayuki changed into their pajamas.

Kanako let out an amused grunt as Nayuki tackled her, wrapping their arms tightly around her waist and burying their face into her chest. She laughed heartily, her body shaking a bit before she managed to push them off gently. "Alright, alright," she said breathlessly, reaching up to ruffle Nayuki's hair. "I guess you win this round."

Settling back on her heels, Kanako took in the sight of Nayuki in their adorable pink bunny pajamas. She could feel a warmth spread through her chest at the thought that they wanted to look cute for her. "So," she said after a moment, smirking playfully again, "are you gonna tell me now?"

"Hm?" Kanako interrupted, her brow furrowing slightly as she listened to Nayuki's concerns. She hadn't realized they had been spending more time apart lately. "Oh, I see where you're getting at," she said slowly, tilting her head to the side. "You think I've been neglecting you in favor of spending time with your other siblings?"

Her voice dropped low, taking on a teasing tone as she leaned forward slightly, "And how exactly do you propose we fix that~? Should I start bunking with you again every night instead of having my own space?" Her eyes sparkled mischievously, and her lips curved into a knowing smirk.

Kanako smiled brightly, not quite able to hide the pleased expression on her face. "Well, alright then," she said cheerfully, taking Nayuki's hand and leading them over to the bed. "How about we make a pact? You let me tease you as much as I want, and in return, I promise not to ever neglect you or leave your side?" Her voice held an earnestness that only strengthened the offer.

Laying down on the bed, she pulled Nayuki close, resting their head on the other's shoulder. "Deal?" She asked quietly, planting a gentle kiss near their ear.

Kanako nestled closer to them, her body pressing against Nayuki in a way that was both comforting and intimate. For tonight, at least, she had made things right between them again, and nothing could ruin the feeling of protectiveness and closeness

"Of course I will," Kanako replied, her voice warm and reassuring. "I'll never abandon you even in the most embarrassing moments." She grinned cheekily at their joke before kissing the top of Nayuki's head, nuzzling closer to them.

Kanako loved teasing Nayuki and making them feel safe, protected, and wanted. And as long as they had each other, nothing else mattered in the world. So if that meant bunking with them every night or even sharing a bath, then so be it. She would do whatever it took to make sure her little stepsibling always felt loved and cherished.

"Of course, silly," Kanako said with a chuckle, pretending to roll her eyes at Nayuki's suggestion. "I didn't mean we had to sleep in the same bed...we always did that." She smiled fondly and pulled them closer, wrapping an arm around their waist possessively. "But if you want to, I won't complain. In fact..." She trailed off teasingly, nipping at Nayuki's earlobe before whispering seductively, "...I might enjoy it even more."
