With a nervous flutter in your stomach you step out of the building and into the field. The air is crisp and clean, carrying with it the scent of growing things and... monsters. You can't help but feel like you've wandered into some sort of bizarre dream where the creatures from stories have been brought to life.

A centaur emerges from behind a tree, his chestnut coat gleaming in the sunlight. He watches you carefully, nostrils flaring as he takes in your scent. "Well, well," he drawls, "look what we have here."

Centaur snorts derisively and stomps a hoof, dust rising up in the air around him. "Fine," he sneers, "you'll be missing out." With that, he turns away from you and gallops off into the woods, disappearing from sight.

You stand there for a moment, heart racing, feeling both relieved and slightly guilty at having refused his offer. Before you can dwell on it too long, though, another creature comes up behind you...

The Merman advances on you with a wicked grin spreading across his features. "Well hello there, sweet thing," he purrs in an accent both rough and smooth at once. "I bet you're here to be my little mermaid." His scaled tail sways back and forth enticingly as he circles around you.

You feel a shiver run down your spine. Is this what it means to be part of their world? You hesitate for only a moment before answering.
