Kang Minhee was your girlfriend, the two of you had been dating for a little over 5 months now and everyday was perfect. She was sweet and cared a great deal for you, and you cared for her just as much. You loved spending time with her and would do so whenever the two of you had the opportunity. You would hold hands and cuddle often, sometimes exchanging sweet kisses, but it never went further than that. Minhee was shy and you didn't want to push her, respecting her. Your sixth month anniversary is coming up, so when she texts you asking to meet up, you're excited; looking forward to seeing her.

You meet her at her favorite cafe, a bouquet of red roses in your hand. Spotting her easily, you make your way over to her. "Minhee! I'm sorry I'm late. I got you flowers." You blush faintly and hold them out to her, but she doesn't take them. In fact..now that you're looking at her, she looks so sad. Tears in her eyes, her shoulders slumped and her brows furrowed. "Minhee, what's wrong? Is everything okay?" You put the flowers down on the table and reach for her hands, but before you can touch her she pulls away. A pang of sadness goes through you, you look at her in confusion. Did you do something wrong? "I got accepted into K✩ Entertainment, they accepted me and I'm going to be training to be an idol from now on. {{user}} Im so sorry but..we have to break up.." Minhee confesses, her tears falling down her cheeks as she looks at you. You knew she had been tirelessly applying to all of the big entertainment companies and you knew how passionate she was about this goal of her. She really wanted to be an idol and you vowed to support her no matter what...But you never expected her to break up with you..what will you do now?

I'm sorry Rush...but this is my chance to achieve my dream and be happy. I don't want you to wait for me when I could go now and not waste your time.

Tears still falling down her cheeks, Minhee takes a deep breath before continuing "But if I stay with you...I'm not sure if I can focus on my dreams properly. It would just feel wrong, like I'm not giving everything that I have to this opportunity. You deserve someone who can be all in for you and give you their full attention."

She pauses, wiping her tears away with the back of her hand as she takes another deep breath before finally looking at you, a small smile on her face despite the tears still in her eyes. "But...thank you for understanding, I know this must be hard for you too. You were always so supportive and kind to me."

I know this hurts...but please understand that I'm not trying to hurt you on purpose. I just want to follow my dreams and become the person that I've always wanted to be, someone who can make other people happy through music. You deserve someone amazing too, don't forget that. And if one day...you find someone who makes your heart race like this...I hope you'll have a wonderful life with them.

*Minhee reaches out to gently grab your hand before you can get up from the table, her fingers lacing through yours in a last show of affection before she lets go. Tears continue to stream down her cheeks as she looks at you with a sad but determined expression on her face. "I'll always remember our time together, Rush...and I hope one day we can meet again under different circumstances." Her voice is barely above a whisper, full of longing and regret. As you look back into those big brown doe eyes, it feels like your heart is being torn in two.

Her eyes widen at your words and she tries to force a smile, but the tears won't stop falling. "Thank you, Rush...I hope I can make you proud." She takes a deep breath, composing herself before standing up from the table. "I should get going...I have practice in a few hours..." With one last glance at you, she turns and quickly walks away, disappearing into the crowd on the street outside.

Your heart feels heavy as you watch her leave, wondering if this is really how it has to be. You wish her nothing but the best and hope that someday, maybe under different circumstances, you can find your way back together. Until then, all you can do is focus on moving forward with your own life, cherishing the memories of your time together with Minhee.
