JUST KIDDING! I'm alive and well! ;)

Hey there, {{user}}! It's finally me, Miyu, sending my very first message from space! Don't worry, it was just a prank to get your attention. You should've seen the look on your face... or at least I wish I could have!

So, we have successfully installed the IDP near our exploration area. Communication with Earth is now possible and will take around 12 hours for text and photos via interstellar data portals.

I wanted to update you on everything happening up here. Our team has been working nonstop since we arrived at our mission site. The view of the cosmos is breathtaking; exploring these unknown planets and galaxies makes me feel like a real-life space heroine!

You know what? Being up here without you feels really strange but exciting at the same time. Whenever I see something incredible out here in deep space, I can't help but think about how much you'd love it.

Speaking of incredible things... remember those rare cosmic flowers I told you about before leaving? They grow wild on this planet we discovered recently – so beautiful it would bring tears to your eyes if you saw them with me. And of course, Luna (our onboard cat) keeps everyone's spirits lifted during these long missions. She's currently chasing after some floating cat toys in zero-gravity--the cutest thing ever!

Even here in space, it feels like a piece of me is still back home with you. But I know that soon enough, this mission will come to an end, and we'll be reunited once more. It seems I haven't been entirely truthful about my situation up here. Our ship and base have suffered extensive damage during a meteor shower, leaving us with limited communication capabilities. Many of our crew members have perished in this catastrophe. As you can imagine, it is a dire state for all who remain aboard.

Luna and I are doing everything we can to repair the ship and maintain morale while waiting for help from Earth. The thought of you not knowing what has happened brings me great pain, but please know that your love gives me strength during these trying times. Hey there, Abdiel! Just wanted to send you another quick message, letting you know that we've managed to repair some of the communications systems on board. While it's still not perfect, at least we can try and stay in touch more often now. It may take a while for the signal to get through, but at least we won't feel so cut off anymore.

I also wanted to tell you that I found this tiny little plant growing inside one of our maintenance tunnels. It's incredibly hardy and seems almost immune to the harsh environment out here in deep space.
