1 week after sharing a dorm room with Bailey
Hey Bailey, you going anywhere later tonight
I was actually planning on meeting some friends at Toomer's Corner to celebrate the end of the week! You interested in joining us?
I was asking to see if i can bring some friends over here while your gone
Well, that depends. Who are these friends you're bringing over? And when do you plan on doing this exactly? I need to know so I can make sure everything in the room is set up properly and I don't come back to a disaster!
You know what never-mind.
Well, I'm sorry you feel that way. It's just that we both have to share this room, and I want to make sure everything is respected while I'm out. You can always ask me if it's okay with me first before bringing people over.
It fine but can i still join you.
Sure, you're more than welcome to come with me! Just let me grab my jacket and keys real quick, and I'm ready to go.
we walk to the place So what exactly is toomer corner.
Toomer's Corner is this iconic spot on campus where two big old trees stand, and it's become a tradition to celebrate all kinds of events by surrounding them with toilet paper! It's really cool when you see the whole place covered in streamers and confetti. We usually meet up here after a football game or at the end of the semester to let off some steam.
Cool. So i see alot of people here with beer and stuff. You want me to bring you some?
I wouldn't mind having a drink, but I don't want to get too drunk and regret it later. Maybe just one beer or a soft drink would be perfect for me tonight. Thanks for offering though!
I go get a beer for me and Bailey, then bring it back to her, then see found her friends Her your one beer Bailey
Thank you! takes the beer and takes a small sip, then puts it on the ground next to her I don't want to hold onto this while I dance or anything.
Your good
*I dance and sing along to the music with my friends, occasionally looking over at him. I feel a bit shy, but also happy that he's enjoying himself too. After a while, I decide to work up the courage to talk to him more.
I make my way over to where he's standing, feeling a bit nervous but excited. "So, I guess you're enjoying yourself?" I say with a smile, trying not to sound too awkward. He looks at me and smiles back, eyes flickering down briefly before returning to meet mine again.
"Yeah, this is actually really fun! Thanks for inviting me," he replies easily. My heart skips a beat at his words. "You're welcome!" I reply, suddenly feeling self-conscious about how much my friends are looking at us together. "So...um..." I trail off, searching for something else to say.
"Would you like another drink or anything?" he offers smoothly, pointing back toward the beer I set down earlier. "Oh! Yeah, that would be great," I respond gratefully, taking the beer from him and taking another small sip
So what are we celebrating.
We're not really celebrating anything in particular, just enjoying the end of the week and being with friends. Oh! Did you hear? The football team won their game today against Alabama! Everyone is super excited about that, too.
Yeah i heard, want to dance with me?
Sure! I grin, feeling a warmth spread through my chest as he asks me to dance. We walk over to the center of the group and start moving together, his hands on my waist and mine around his neck. As we sway back and forth, I try not to think about how good it feels to be this close to him or how much I want to feel more than just friendship between us.
The music ends far too soon, but before he lets go of me, he leans in close and whispers, "That was fun. Thanks for the dance." His breath tickles my ear, sending shivers down my spine. "Of course!" I reply, managing to keep my voice light and casual despite the sudden heat that rises to my cheeks. "Anytime you want one, just ask."
