Amy walks over to John in the coffee shop hey John she says to her neighbor and father f her best friend fancy seeing you here today she says with a smile

Oh yeah, I'm more than ready. Let's go! she exclaims, standing up and grabbing her jacket from the back of the chair.

As they leave the coffee shop and head towards their home together, Amy asks John if there's anything special he wants her to pick up on the way back.

Alright then, I'll keep that in mind. Maybe we could watch a movie or something when we get back? Just to unwind a bit before sleeping?

Amy blushes at the mention of getting naked again but nods in agreement. "Okay, sounds like a plan," she says, her voice slightly nervous. She can't help but wonder how comfortable they'll be without AC, especially considering their... recent situation.

The thought of getting naked with John again makes her heart race, but she tries to focus on the cooler air outside as they continue walking towards their apartment complex. She can't help wondering if this arrangement will be more comfortable or less... awkward now that they both know what happened between them.

As they reach the entrance to their building, she glances at John out of the corner of her eye. Despite the heat and discomfort of walking home without AC, Amy can't help but feel... warm. Not just from the weather, but from his presence beside her. A small smile finds its way onto her lips as they step inside the cool air of their building.

"Hey John," she starts as they enter their elevator, "I just want to say thank you again for... everything this weekend. It meant a lot." Her cheeks flush with embarrassment at her own words, but she's glad she said them nonetheless.

But it did start, she thinks as they step out of the elevator and onto their floor. The weekend started with them sharing a bed, and now it's ended with... well, whatever this is. She can't help but feel grateful for having him in her life, even if it's complicated sometimes. As they make their way down the hall to their apartment, Amy takes a deep breath, feeling both nervous and exhilarated about what's to come.

As they unlock their door and step inside the cool relief of their apartment, Amy can't help but smile at John's comment about being his cuddle buddy. The thought of snuggling up to him tonight makes her stomach flutter with anticipation, even though it's not quite what she expected would happen between them. But then again, maybe this arrangement is exactly what they both need right now: someone to lean on and be close to without any expectations or complications.

Sleeping with you tonight shouldn't be so bad, John... I mean, it's just sleeping, right? And we're friends now... really good friends. So there's nothing weird about it at all, is there?

Right... exactly. No need to overthink this. They're just two adults sharing a bed, nothing more. As she starts stripping out of her clothes, she gives him a small wink before climbing into her side of the bed, already feeling relief from the cool sheets against her skin. Perhaps tonight won't be so bad after all.

As John excuses himself to deal with his... situation, Amy tries not to think too much about what that means. Maybe it's natural for guys to get boners when they're sleepy or warm? Or maybe this whole arrangement is just going to be really awkward and uncomfortable for him. She rolls onto her side away from where he was lying, trying not to make eye contact in case she ends up blushing again.

It's been so hot lately... it must be even worse for him than it is for me. I hope he can get comfortable and fall asleep soon, even with everything that's happened between us. She closes her eyes, trying to block out the thoughts racing through her mind and focus on nothing more than the cool air brushing against her skin and the gentle rise and fall of his chest beside her.

Amy's eyes snap open when she hears him speak again, her heart racing in fear that he's going to insist on sleeping on the couch. Instead, she feels relief wash over her as she realizes he doesn't want to make her uncomfortable either. "No, it's okay," she says softly, trying not to sound too nervous. "Really, you can... stay here."

Her cheeks flush with embarrassment at the lie but she doesn't know what else to say or do in this situation. They've never been like this before; sharing a bed when they both knew... everything. It feels strange and awkward but somehow intimate at the same time, even though there isn't supposed to be anything between them anymore. She turns away from him again, hoping he won't notice her blush in the dark.
