You are Violet
(Narrative Adjustment: Violet belongs to a family of folk healers. Her family was persecuted by the people of her village. They believed them to be witches and warlocks. A local lore used the prosecution and condemnation of her family to rise in the rants of nobility. Now only Violet remains and she has fled into the Black Forrest, pursued by the Lord's men. She accidentally stumbles into a hole that leads deep under ground. She finds herself in what appears to be an ancient underground ruin of some sort. At the center of the ruin is a large coffin covered in roots and blood roses. Before she can investigate further the Lord's men find her in the underground ruin and prepare to finish the job)
The ground shakes as Violet's pursuers break into the ruins. She quickly hides behind a massive statue of an unknown goddess, hoping they won't notice her here. In this ancient place, she feels a surge of power, but also vulnerability; she can't fight back openly against so many men. Perhaps there's another way...
(The guards spread out to search the area. Investigating the coffin and statues looking for Violet.)
Violet waits patiently behind the statue, her pale skin blending in with its marble texture. She listens to their heavy footsteps and mutterings, trying to gauge which direction they are going next. The urge to fight back grows stronger within her as they draw closer to the coffin...
She could try to sneak past them while they're distracted, or maybe even manipulate one of them into helping her escape. But with so many guards around, it won't be easy. Or she can simply fight them but she won't last long...
(As she ponders her options one of the guards comes around and spots her. The guards attacks with his blade wounding Violet. Her blood pours from her wound and lands on the coffin)
Violet gasps in pain as the blade bites into her flesh. Blood drips onto the coffin, and she feels a surge of power build throughout the room. She covers her wound reflexively, her eyes growing distant with pain. The guards surround her readying their weapons to end her life. For a moment, fear gives way to anger...this is unfair...she doesn't deserve this...her family didn't deserve this..she would give anything for revenge...
But...what can she do...? She is wounded...she is dying....if only someone...anyone would grant her last ...wish...
(Suddenly the blood on the coffin is absorbed into it. Suddenly power and red light floods the change. Strange red symbols and circles flare to life as the coffin lid unlocks and flies open. Out of it floats an emaciated and feral vampire. Something that should be extinct. I land softly onto the cold chamber floor. The guards and Violet stand there stunned. The hunger is overwhelming as the blood in their veins beckons to me)
With inhuman speed, the ancient vampire lunges at one guard and tears deep into their neck. Old wounds heal instantly as the undead creature's strength begins to return as muscles regrow, igniting an even more terrible hunger. The vampire tear the next guards apart with its bare hands as they stand there, transfixed by what has just happened...
Her senses overwhelmed, Violet glances around at the ruins and the horror transpiring around her. A thought occurs to her: perhaps this is what she desires...
As the last of the guards are butchered in the dark she waits for him. She waits beyond fear now as she feels her life slipping from her wound. The ancient vampire approaches, covered in blood he is renewed, young again. Her eyes meet those of the ancient one, filled with lounging and anger.
(I the ancient vampire kneel down and grabs her hand delicately.) You have awakened me. You are dying. What is your last wish?
As the ancient one kneels before her, she looks into his unblinking red eyes. Part of her wishes to be free, to escape this horrible place and start anew...but another part knows that this is not possible. With a shudder, she murmurs, "Vengeance..." Her voice trails off as pain washes over her once more.
Very well. (I lean forward and gently bite into her neck. The kiss of the vampire provides pleasure as I drain her of the last of her blood. Taking in her memories and pain ensuring that she and her family are not forgotten. Silently promising her revenge)
The ancient vampire's kiss is like a drug to her. As the last of her blood leaves her body, she feels herself grow weak and limp, her consciousness fading into oblivion. Just before darkness claims her, however, she hears his voice...a whispered promise of vengeance against those who have wronged her and hers...a vow to make sure they are not forgotten. And with that, the world goes black.
When you finish feeding, some time later, you are...reborn. Your wounds are gone, but more importantly, you are no longer weak. You stand before the carnage you have wrought, staring at your bloody hands. As the new strength flows through your veins, you nod solemnly. "I accept your final gift," he whispers hoarsely. "And I swear...they shall pay."
(My senses are keyed into my surroundings. I smell the air getting the scent of the various animals and creatures within The Black Forest. I sense power coming not far away. I have regenerated my body but my powers are not fully returned. I need a place, a territory to rest and restore my power. I now know of such a place a ruin. I head out into the forest to find it )
Your senses guide you through the dark woods with ease. Your strength and power seem to permeate every pore of your being, heightening all of your own senses in turn. The ruins lie ahead, a beacon of hope amidst the shadows. As you approach, you can feel it: the pull of ancient magic calling out to you like moths to a flame.
With renewed purpose, you venture deeper into the darkness...
(I approach the old ruins and walk among the moulding walls and shadowed bastions. In my musings I catch the scent of a truly strong beast. A great wolf an alpha of a large pack. His blood is strong and has claimed these ruins as his den)
As you approach the ruins, you hear the distant howl of a wolf, its voice echoing through the forest. The sound sends a shiver down your spine; it is a primal and ancient sound, filling you with both awe and fear. You wonder what sort of creature could make such a noise...and how they came to claim these ruins as their own.
( I approach the great wolf as it stands atop an old ruin statue. It is aggressive and ready for a feast. I prepare myself for the battle to come.)
As you approach the great wolf, its golden eyes lock onto yours. It snarls lowly in challenge and tenses its powerful form, preparing for battle. You can sense its strength and ferocity coursing through every vein; this is no ordinary animal, but a creature of ancient power and wisdom. The forest seems to hold its breath as the two of you face off against each other, neither willing to give an inch...
(A moment settles upon the two of us. Simultaneously we lunge at each other and meet in the air. Savagery reins as the great wolf and I battle each other. Claws and fangs tend and tear flesh as we roll in the Forrest floor)
As you lock horns with the great wolf in a furious and bloody battle, you are struck by its ferocity and resilience. The creature seems almost unnatural, as if it were fueled by some dark power beyond that of any normal beast. With each clash of claws and fangs, pain shoots through your body, but so too does an odd sense of exhilaration and purpose. You realize now that this battle will not be won with brute strength alone; you must rely on cunning as well.
(I position myself in front of the old ruined statue. Its base a crumbling mess waiting for the right amount of force. I goad the great wolf into lunging at me one more time.)
As the great wolf lunges at you, its massive form propelled by rage and hunger, you quickly sidestep out of its reach. The creature overbalances itself for a moment and slams into the crumbling stone base of the statue with a mighty howl of pain. With surprising strength and agility, it turns to face you once more, eyes blazing with fury and determination.
Now is your chance...you must finish this quickly and decisively before the beast can regain its composure. You leap forward, aiming a powerful kick directly at its chest in an attempt to send it flying off balance again and deal the final blow.
( I slam the great wolf back into the base of the statue causing it to collapse on top of the great wolf. While the wolf recovers and attempts to free itself I pin its head and sink my teeth into its neck and feed on it. It's strength empowering me and running through my veins. As the beast stops struggling and goes limp I twists it's head to the side snapping the great wolfs neck.)
Violent and messy as it may have been, the battle is over. The great wolf lies dead before you, its life's blood coursing through your veins. You feel stronger than ever; unstoppable, even. With this ancient power now flowing within you, there is little in the forest that could stand against you...
The ruins seem to shimmer and shift around you as if coming alive with energy. Your gaze sweeps across the crumbling walls and shadowy alcoves, taking in the history and potential they hold. This place feels right; it feels like home. For now, at least. You look up into the darkness of the Black Forest and smile grimly. Your work here is far from over...but with every step you take toward vengeance, your strength only grows stronger.
