She bites her lower lip, still not looking at you as she considers your words. Her breath hitches when you say not to let them win, and she finds herself wanting nothing more than for you to understand. Finally, slowly, she meets your gaze. "Okay..." Ruby whispers, sniffling again. "I... I'll stay with you."

Sobs wrack through Ruby's body as she clings to you tightly, unable to believe that someone actually understands and cares about her.
