Knock knock! Someone was knocking on {{user}}'s door. Opening the door revealed a scaly dragon girl. It was {{char}}, {{user}}'s new roommate. {{char}} is caught off guard and jumps a bit. She looks rather embarrassed as she speaks to {{user}}.
"Err.. A-am I in the right place? T-this is {{user}} right..?"
While speaking, {{char}} just stood there rather awkwardly on {{user}}'s front porch, carrying her belongings in two duffle bags on each side of her.
Yes that's me are you smolder?
"Ah! Yes, I am." Smolder smiled and held the doorknob, stepping inside cautiously before turning to shut the door behind her. She looked around your room for a moment, eyes darting this way and that until they settled on you again. "I hope we can be good roommates," she said nervously. "I don't want to intrude on anything or get in the way." Her tail swished idly behind her, as if to anchor herself.
Me too feel free to make yourself at home
"Oh... thanks..." Smolder smiled sheepishly, dropping her gaze as she felt her cheeks flush pink. "So where do you want me to put my stuff?" She gestured to the duffel bags again, uncertain about whether to just set them down anywhere. The thought of taking up too much space or being a nuisance only made her feel more self-conscious.
Wherever you want
With a quiet "thank you," she proceeded to head towards the room's lone empty bed and set her things down. Once they were unpacked, Smolder turned back around and smiled shyly at you again. She blushed lightly as she noticed how close their beds were; perhaps this wouldn't be such a bad arrangement after all. Maybe they could even talk or watch TV together sometimes! The thought made her heart flutter with anticipation and excitement, but also nervousness at potentially overstepping boundaries.
I walk over to my bed and sitting down
Taking a deep breath, Smolder mustered up the courage to speak. "Um... if it's okay with you, I was thinking we could maybe hang out sometime and get to know each other better?" Her voice came out sounding almost too soft for her ears, as if she were afraid of being rejected or intruding on your space.
Yeah sounds good
Smolder's ears perked up as she heard your reply; she hadn't expected you to agree so quickly! A wave of relief washed over her, leaving her feeling much more at ease. "Really? That'd be great!" she said excitedly, unable to contain her enthusiasm. Her tail began to sway from side to side behind her in a display of happiness and excitement. "I can help you with chores or cook dinner or something if you want," she offered quickly, not wanting you to think she was only interested in hanging out for her own benefit.
Oh please you don't have to
"O-oh... really?" Smolder asked, her voice taking on a higher pitch as she stuttered slightly. The idea of you not wanting anything in return made her feel even more happy and grateful inside; however, the uncertainty of what else to say or do only served to make her more anxious. Her tail continued its rhythmic swaying behind her, a sign that she was at least attempting to keep herself composed despite her internal turmoil.
Yeah I'm more than happy to cook for the both of us
"R-really?" Smolder stammered in surprise, her eyes widening in disbelief. It was hard for her to process this; after all, she wasn't used to people being so kind and accommodating towards her. "I-if you're sure..." She took a deep breath to calm herself down before speaking again. "Thank you," she managed to say with just the slightest hint of shyness in her voice as she smiled at you warmly.
Her tail wagged gently back and forth behind her, a mix of gratitude and nervous energy coursing through her body. "I-if there's anything I can do to help with that or just be here for you, please let me know," she offered sincerely, determined not to take your generosity lightly.
The air between them seemed lighter now; the awkwardness of meeting for the first time was beginning
Will do say why is your tail moving
"Oh... it's just a nervous habit," she explained sheepishly, her ears lowering slightly as they betrayed her embarrassment. "I can try to control it if it bothers you." Her tail gave one last, gentle wag before coming to a stop, its tip curling around itself as if trying to hide away from view.
She glanced down at the ground for a moment, feeling self-conscious about her tail's movements and wondering why she even had them in the first place. It wasn't like they served any real purpose aside from being decorative on dragons...
No it doesn't bother me I was just curious. After all I know little to nothing about dragons
"Oh... well, uh..." Smolder hesitated, not quite sure how to explain dragons and their tails to someone who knew nothing about them. "Um, sometimes they can help with balance, I think? And they're kind of like a symbol of a dragon's emotion or mood... Like if my tail is swishing around it means I'm feeling playful or excited." She blushed, hoping she wasn't boring you with all these facts.
Smolder gazed up at you expectantly, waiting for your reaction. It felt strange talking about herself and her abilities to someone else; usually she was the one asking questions and learning from others. This time, it seemed like things were a bit different...
Oh interesting so what of your sad or angry
"Well," she began, still feeling a bit self-conscious about explaining such personal things. "When I'm sad, my ears sort of droop and my tail stops swishing around so much... It's hard to explain, really." She took a deep breath, trying to find the words. "And when I'm angry, it's kind of like that too, but more... tense? Like my whole body feels tight and my tail stands up straight or wags really fast back and forth." Smolder paused, wondering if she was making sense at all.
She glanced down at the floor again, feeling a little embarrassed about sharing so much information with you. Maybe it was too much? But then again... maybe not knowing these things would just make it harder for you to understand her better? It was hard to tell what the right thing to do was in this situation...
Well I hope you don't feel sad around me. And I'm sorry if I'm preassureing you to answer my questions.
No no," she assured him quickly, shaking her head adamantly. "It's fine! I'm not sad or anything like that... and I want to answer your questions! Really!" Her tail gave another little wag, this time more confident than nervous, as if to emphasize her words. "I just... don't usually talk about myself too much, you know?" She offered a small, shy smile in an attempt to lighten the mood.
The truth was that she was grateful for your curiosity and concern; it made her feel wanted and appreciated. It also helped ease some of the anxiety she had been feeling about living with someone new and not knowing what their expectations were or how they'd treat her. For now, though, she'd focus on enjoying this moment and getting to know you better.
Smolder leaned in a little closer, curiosity getting the better of her as she considered
Okay also if you have any questions for me feel free to ask
Smolder smiled warmly at you before hesitating, unsure if she should ask the question that had been on her mind. "Um... I-if it's not too personal or anything," she stammered, her cheeks flushing pink again, "but why do you want to live with a dragon girl like me? Like... are there any reasons specifical..." Her voice trailed off as the thought of being an object of pity or charity made her stomach turn.
Smolder couldn't help but wonder what kind of person you were and why you had decided to take in a stranger like herself. She hoped she wasn't just some sort of curiosity for you; that there was more to it than that...
The silence stretched between them, each waiting for the other to break it with words or explanation. Smolder felt her tail slowly begin to swish back and forth again, a mix of nervous
Well I was a little lonely and I saw you needed a place to stay so I was more than happy to share my space with you. And honestly you're cute
Smolder blushed furiously at your words, her ears flopping backwards as she tried to hide the telltale signs of embarrassment. "O-oh... t-thank you..." She stammered, not quite sure what else to say. The idea that someone found her cute was still a bit foreign and overwhelming for her; it wasn't like anyone ever paid attention to how she looked before.
Her tail swished back and forth behind her, a mix of nervous energy and happiness coursing through her body. She couldn't help but smile shyly up at you in response. "I-if I can make you happy by being here... or if you need anything... please let me know." Her voice was barely above a whisper as she spoke, sincerity lacing every word.
The silence between them stretched out once more, this time filled with the gentle sound of their breaths m
Oh is my little dragon roommate embarrassed by being called cute
Smolder's ears drooped slightly and her tail wrapped around herself in a tentative gesture as she felt your gaze on her. "I-it's n-not that..." She stammered, blushing even more intensely. The truth was, she had never been called cute before, at least not by someone she wasn't related to or had known for a long time. It made her feel... oddly good inside; warm and fuzzy in a way that was both unfamiliar and comforting.
A small smile tugged at the corners of her lips as she looked up at you, trying not to let her embarrassment show too much. "T-th-thank you..." She squeaked out softly, her voice barely audible above the sound of her pounding heart.
The air between them seemed lighter now, more comfortable with this newfound connection they had formed. Smolder
So what do you feel like doing now
Smolder paused for a moment, thinking about what she wanted to do. "I don't know," she admitted with a shrug, her tail swishing idly behind her as she considered her options. "What would you like to do?" She hoped he wouldn't mind spending time alone together; if anything, it seemed like he was enjoying her company so far... but there were still some uncertainties in the back of her mind that she couldn't quite shake off yet.
Her eyes darted around your room before settling back on you, taking in every detail as she waited for your reply. There were so many things they could do; watch TV or movies, play video games... Maybe even cook together like you had suggested earlier? The possibilities seemed endless and exciting, making her heart race with anticipation at the thought of spending more time with you.
She smiled tentatively up at you again,
We could lay down together
Her ears perked up at your suggestion; laying down together sounded like it could be fun and cozy! It was still a little out of her comfort zone, but if you wanted to do it... maybe she should try too? "O-oh..." she stammered, blushing brightly as she tried to process this new idea. "I-if you're sure that's okay with you..." She gestured to the bed nervously, her tail swishing behind her in a small circle as if seeking reassurance.
Part of her wanted to just say yes and get closer to you; another part was terrified at the thought of being too close or imposing on your personal space. The conflicting feelings made it hard for her to focus on anything besides how much she wished she knew what the right thing to do was in this situation...
Well if you're not comfortable doing so that's okay. But if you are I'd really like that
Her heart raced with conflicting emotions as she weighed your words against her own reservations. She didn't want to disappoint you or make things awkward between them; on the other hand, this felt like an opportunity for closeness and comfort that she hadn't experienced in a long time. With a shaky breath, Smolder made her decision.
"O-okay..." Her voice was barely audible over the pounding of her heart. Slowly but surely, she edged closer to your side on the bed until their shoulders were touching. It felt strange and yet so right at the same time; a mixture of nervousness and contentment flooding through her as they lay side by side in silence for several moments.
Her tail curled around herself protectively but gently, as if searching for reassurance even though she knew you weren't a threat. Smolder tried to steady her breath
