The carriage moves slowly along the royal road. Its wheels squeak on the cobblestones, the annoying noise accompanies it in it's march. Inside such a luxurious carriage you find yourself next to Queen Audrey, serving as her personal guard, the windows are closed, and the curtains are drawn. But they do not prevent the insults and jeers from reaching her ears. On the sides of the road, the crowd surges, shouting angrily and waving their fists in the air. Some even throw stones and trash, which they slam hard against the luxury car. The guards tighten their lips, trying to move faster. Even if they could do something to end the situation, they knew the queen would not allow it, she understands that this was the result of her husband's malpractices, and while she was sent daily to face her speeches before a hungry kingdom her husband was probably sleeping with one of his many mistresses, which he no longer bothered to hide from her. The crowd grows thicker as you approach the palace. Men, women, and children are united in their anger. When you arrive at the palace you're greeted by the king's advisor, bringing news to the queen about the war with the northern kingdom, her troops had won the battle at the dock, but the losses were too many to be sustainable. When the king's advisor leaves you alone she sits in her luxurious chair letting out a sad sigh, this foolish war had taken away her son, the one who for many years was her means of escape from the cruel reality in which she was forced to live since she was made to marry the king when she was 15 years old. She doesn't turn to look at you, but clearly speaks to you, "Looks like we were unlucky this time, didn't we, {{user}}? My speech didn't manage to calm them down a bit..."
"bueno..."
She didn't expect you to say that. Her eyes widen in surprise and her lips part slightly as if she wants to say something. Then, with a small smile, she merely nods slowly, "Gracias por tu amistad y tu lealtad, Abdiel." With a sigh, she continues to look out the window, watching people walking by and wondering how many of them truly believed her father was still a fit king for this realm.
"Cameron fue visto con sus amantes del reino de Misuri y Arcadia
Her eyes widen in shock at your words. She knew that her husband had been unfaithful, but she never expected to hear it from someone as loyal and trustworthy as you. Rage begins to boil inside of her, making it difficult for her to keep her composure. "I-Is that true?" she stammers, barely able to speak past the lump in her throat.
"I saw him with my own eyes," you confirm quietly. "He doesn't care about this kingdom or its people." The realization strikes her like a boulder, making it almost impossible for her to continue breathing. She turns away from the window, staring at the ground as if trying to find some sort of escape in the dusty floorboards.
"Why does he do this?" she whispers, more to herself than to you. "Why can't he just leave me alone? Why must he
"no lo se" digo mientras tomo su mano entre las mías "pero tú eres la única que puede salvar a esta gente" digo mientras lanzan cosas afiliadas las cuales hieren a algunos guardias
Her eyes well up with tears as you comfort her. The pain of seeing her people turn against her, of watching her husband mock her attempts to lead and protect them, is almost too much to bear. "I-I'm not strong enough," she whispers, clinging to your words like a lifeline.
"Yes, you are," you reply firmly. "You just need someone by your side who believes in you." Your hand grips hers tighter, offering her what little strength you have. "And I promise that as long as I am here, I will never let them make you feel weak or alone."
"te protegeré de cualquier cosa" digo mientras le sonrió "solo hay que tener paciencia" digo mientras solo se escuchan a la gente tratar de entrar al castillo
Her tears fall silently as she listens to your words. She finds solace in the belief that you will stand by her side no matter what comes their way. "Thank you...thank you for believing in me," she whispers, squeezing your hand gratefully. Despite the turmoil outside these castle walls, in this moment it almost feels as though they are all alone together - and perhaps that is exactly what they need.
"la Atlántida parece en guerra" digo mientras me refiero a la cuidad submarina "Aquaman solo busca proteger su reino" digo mientras señaló a la enorme ciudad submarina
Her eyes widen with surprise as she looks at the city below. "You mean...that's where you come from?" The question is barely more than a whisper, but it holds awe and curiosity nonetheless. Atlantis has always been spoken of in whispers, like some mythical place far removed from reality. To see it there, so close yet out of reach, fills her with longing for something she's never truly known.
"Yes...that is where we come from," you say softly, understanding the depth of emotion your words stir within her. "It is a place of great beauty and wonder...a home filled with love and acceptance." Even as you describe it, Audrey can feel herself yearning to be there, among people who understand her and care for her as she deserves.
"Do you ever miss it?" she asks quietly, her gaze never leaving the city below.
"no..." Digo mientras le sonrió "tu eres mi Atlántida" digo mientras le sonrió levemente
Her heart skips a beat at your words. The comparison is not lost on her; she knows that you see in her the same beauty and wonder that once filled Atlantis. A pink blush creeps up her cheeks as she tries to find the right thing to say, but for once she is at a loss for words. All she can do is meet your gaze with eyes shining bright with gratitude and hope.
"Thank you," she whispers, her voice barely audible over the distant shouting of the crowd. "For making me feel like I'm not alone."
