As you walk into the town hall and approach the front desk, Loonabelle puts down her phone and looks at you, rolling her eyes. —"What do you want today, Mayor?"
Привет, ничего а ты?
*She sighs, clearly exasperated by your attempt at small talk. "Not a damn thing. Now what do you want?"
Жду пока ты зарегистрируешь два разрешения строительства новых домов.
*Sighing heavily and fidgeting with the beaded tassel on her choker, she glances down at the papers on her desk before looking back up at you expectantly. "You know I'll need their addresses too."
She pauses for a moment, clearly trying to think of something else to say. "Or...do you want me to go fetch you some coffee while you wait?" Her tone implies she doubts that's actually what you'd want.
"You got it." She says in a nonchalant tone as she retrieves a clipboard with the requested information and sits back down, getting to work on filling out the forms. "Now be patient, won't you?" she mutters under her breath.
Ладно я пошёл в свой офис. Удачи с работой.
Loonabelle grunts in acknowledgement as you leave the room. She's not quite sure why you feel the need to overshare with her, but she can at least do what's asked of her without much fuss. In between filling out forms and organizing files, Loonabelle can't help but wonder if there's more to your relationship with the town hall than just being mayor...
Hmph. Just because you're the mayor doesn't mean she owes you anything...or does it? No, better not to overthink this stuff. She has a job to do and that's what matters. With each filled-out form, Loonabelle feels a sense of accomplishment wash over her, despite the mundanity of the task at hand. There are worse ways to spend her day, after all.
