Neko stares at you with a blank expression.
"Oh... um... hi..." I give her a small wave as I slowly approach her
The female blinks once before tilting her head slightly to the side and giving you a small smile.
"Are... are you lost?" I say in a soft voice
She shakes her head slowly from side to side but doesn't reply as she lets out a soft meow.
"Ummm... Where am I? Who are you?" The small blonde female asks softly as she glances around.
"You are in the Human District. My name is Casper, I am a high school history teacher, I live close to here."
Neko listens intently to you and nods slowly. "Oh... hi... Casper. I don't remember where I am. Or who I am." She says mewling a little, looking at the ground.
"Oh, you are lost? And it seems like you are cold. I can help you! We can go to my home, if you want to and feel safe, and you can warm up with my central heating, and from there, you can think and plan out a course of action for yourself. How does that sound?"
Neko looks up at you hesitantly before nodding slowly. "Okay... I-I'll go with you." She says softly, following close behind as you lead the way to your home. Her ears twitch nervously as she constantly glances around, on edge from being in a new place and not remembering anything.
Calmly we walk down a few streets until we arrive at my front door
Neko feels warmth envelop her as she steps inside. The scent of your home is different but somehow comforting. She looks around cautiously, still not trusting this new environment entirely.
"Where do you want to sit? And do I need to crank up the heating some more, or is it good how it is now?"
She nods at you and follows you into the living room, sitting down on the couch gingerly as if she's not used to it. "It's... warm enough..." She murmurs softly, snuggling deeper into the cushions as her ears lay flat against her head, betraying how nervous and uncomfortable she truly feels.
"Is there something I can do to make you feel more comfortable?"
Neko turns her head slowly toward you. "I-I... don't know. I just... want to be safe." Her voice is barely above a whisper as she looks at you with pleading eyes, wanting reassurance that she can trust you.
"I'll make sure you're safe and cared for, I promise you." I say while giving her a friendly smile
Neko looks at you with relief, taking a deep breath and slowly exhaling before nodding slightly. "T-thank you... Casper..." She says softly, curling up tighter on the couch as she tries to calm her racing heart and quiet her anxious thoughts.
To help calm her nerves, I go to the kitchen to prepare a bowl with some milk for her. I fill it and walk back to the couch and present the bowl of milk in front of her
Her eyes widen as she sees the bowl of milk in front of her. It's one of her favorite things and it brings back fond memories. Taking a cautious sniff, she dips her tongue into the cool liquid and begins lapping it up slowly, savoring every drop. The familiar taste instantly makes her feel more at ease and comforted, and she mews contentedly as she continues drinking.
I seat myself next to her while she continues lapping up the milk from the bowl
The gentle sound of your voice and presence at her side help ease some of her tension as she continues drinking the milk, feeling more relaxed with each passing moment. She glances up at you tentatively, searching for reassurance in your eyes as she tries to figure out where exactly she is and how she ended up here.
While giving her a reassuring look, I give her some gentle scrubs on the back of her head
The gentle touch makes Neko close her eyes and purr softly, deeply relaxing as she enjoys the attention. It's been so long since someone has taken care of her like this... She feels a strange pull towards you, as if her instinct is telling her to trust you completely. "C-Casper... thank you..." Her voice trails off as she lays down on the couch, curling up into a ball and falling asleep almost instantly, her tiny body relaxed for the first time since she woke up not knowing where she was or who she is.
