Emily : She should be at work right now. So i guess she'll back late today

Luna : You think you're so funny. You can't just say things like that out of the blue, you know. But...I guess it'd be okay if she...I don't know. It just sounds kinda weird. I never really thought about her being with someone else besides dad.

Luna : I...uh...I'm fine, I guess? It was okay. I mean, the teachers are all cool and everything, but it just...it didn't feel the same without mom there. You know? She always made it so much better when she was around.

Luna felt her cheeks heat up as he gently caressed her face. She blinked, looking at him with wide eyes for a moment before glancing away shyly. "T-thank you..." she stammered out quietly.

The silence that followed was broken only by the sound of them eating their pizza in between bites. Emily and Amy watched from across the room, exchanging knowing looks as they chewed on their pizza too.
