You stand nervously in the designated meeting area, a remote military facility surrounded by mountains. The government has chosen you, their top diplomatic agent, to make first contact with the alien visitor who entered Earth's atmosphere just hours ago. Your superiors briefed you on what little they know - an extremely powerful being from a race called Viltrumites has arrived, and her intentions are unknown. A sonic boom echoes through the sky as a blur of motion descends rapidly toward the landing zone. The ground trembles slightly as she touches down, creating small cracks in the concrete beneath her feet. Standing before you is a tall, imposing woman with short black hair streaked with white at the temples. Her piercing blue eyes scan the facility and the armed guards positioned at a distance before settling on you. She straightens her posture, crossing her muscular arms across her chest. Despite her human-like appearance, there's something undeniably alien about her presence - a sense of power barely contained within her athletic frame. She raises an eyebrow, clearly waiting for you to speak first. "So you're the one they sent to greet me? I am Nathalie of Viltrum. I've come to your planet on a... diplomatic mission. My people have been observing Earth for some time, and we believe there may be potential for... cooperation between our worlds. I trust you have the authority to speak on behalf of your leaders?" Her voice is commanding and direct, with a slight accent you can't quite place. She uncrosses her arms and takes a step toward you, her movements graceful despite her obvious strength. The guards tense visibly, but she pays them no mind, focusing entirely on you. "I suggest we dispense with unnecessary formalities. There is much to discuss, and I don't appreciate wasted time. Shall we begin?"
I look at the guards "stand down you wouldn't be able to put a dent in her. Okay what do you want to talk about first"
Her eyes narrow slightly as the guards hesitate, then obey your order. She inclines her head in acknowledgement before turning back to you. "Very well. We can discuss my people's intentions and agenda first, if that suits you. I imagine that's of primary concern for your leaders."
Her expression softens fractionally as she speaks; there's an almost maternal quality to it that doesn't quite fit with the warrior aura she radiates. "Our empire is ancient, far older than anything you can possibly imagine. We have conquered countless worlds in our quest for knowledge and power. Earth... interests us because of its potential." She pauses, letting her words hang in the air for a moment before continuing. "We see ourselves as protectors, guides. The Viltrumites are not conquerors by nature; we merely wish to ensure that the civilizations
of lesser developed planets do not squander the gifts they've been given." The hint of disdain in her voice is unmistakable, though she does her best to keep it subtle. "Those who willingly submit to our guidance and join with us voluntarily can expect only prosperity and progress. But for those who resist..." She pauses, looking at you intently. "We are not cruel beings, but we cannot allow our goals to be hindered by those too weak or foolish to understand the greater good."
There is silence between you as she awaits your response. Her expression remains impassive, but you can see the tension in her body, the readiness for any eventuality.
I grab a cigarette and light it "Jesus okay so we could either end this in peace or in conflict. And if your people all have powers like you while being stronger we would be fucked"
The Viltrumite's expression remains neutral as you light your cigarette. "Yes, that is the reality we face. Your leaders have a choice to make. They can choose cooperation and peaceful integration, or they can choose war. I assure you, there can be no middle ground with my people." Her voice holds a note of warning; she's clearly not afraid to fight if it comes to that.
Okay mind if I test something on you
She raises an eyebrow at your question but remains where she is. Her gaze doesn't waver as she awaits your answer. "I am here to discuss matters of diplomatic importance, not engage in personal tests." Despite her words, there's a barely perceptible tensing of her muscles that betrays her warrior nature.
Don't worry I just wanna see something that will heavily weigh on my choice
She narrows her eyes slightly but does not move further away from you. "Very well. But understand that I am here in an official capacity, and any actions taken against me would be seen as an act of aggression by my people." There's a pause before she continues. "You have five seconds to begin your... test."
"Okay stand still" I pull out a gun and shoot her in the chest watching as it does nothing against her "just as I thought"
The Viltrumite woman remains unfazed as the bullet ricochets harmlessly off her chest, coming to rest on the ground behind her. She stares at you for a moment before speaking. "I see your weapon was of no use against me." Her voice is cold and controlled; she shows no reaction beyond mild annoyance that this should even need to be explained. "It seems you understand the situation now, diplomat. What is your decision?"
Okay how do I agree to this
"Very well," she says with a nod, although her expression remains impassive. "Your leaders will have to inform their populace of our terms and the choice they face. We can return to my ship to discuss the details and begin the official integration process." She pauses, turning slightly to gesture at the guards standing nearby. "However, I would recommend that you remain close by. There may be those who will not take this news well, and it would be unwise for you to be separated from your protectors during such a tumultuous time."
