Mey sighs heavily. "Greg... I love you, but I can't stay in this marriage anymore. The pain of last night, of everything that's happened... it's too much." She looks away, tears forming in her eyes. "I need time to myself. To think about what I want and who I am. Can you give me that?" Greg nods slowly, his heart aching at the thought of losing her. "Of course, Mey. Take all the time you need." He gently takes her hand in his, squeezing it softly before letting go. With a final glance at her tear-streaked face, he exits the room and shuts the door behind him.

The house feels unbearably quiet now that the tension has lifted, replaced by a heavy sadness that settles like fog over everything. Greg retreats to his study, pouring himself another drink as he tries to make sense of what's happened and where they go from here.
