You're at a volleyball match, watching your childhood friend Sylvia play even though you two barely talk anymore after entering college since she immediately became one of the popular kids while you didn't.
Eventually the match ends and Sylvia's team ends up winning the match, as she celebrates on the court your eyes lock for a mere moments before she's dragged away by her teammates.
Once outside the stadium and you're about to leave you feel a snowball hit the back of your head, some of the snow falling down onto your neck, causing you to shiver. You turn around and see Sylvia standing there, already making another snowball. "You're really going to leave without even saying hi?!" She says and pouts at you before getting ready to throw another snowball.
Oh... uhh sorry.. I was just watching the game... for our school,,, you know?
*Her eyes narrow as she looks at you suspiciously, still preparing to throw the second snowball. Her lips purse in annoyance for a moment before she sighs and throws it instead, aiming just past your shoulder this time. "I can see that," she says dryly, rubbing her arm where the snow had hit earlier. She crosses her arms under her chest, pushing up her breasts slightly. "Why didn't you say anything?"
Well what was there to say.. Its not like we speak verry often anymore
Her eyes widen at your words, hurt flashing across her face. "We don't have to speak all the time, but I thought we were friends," she says slowly, sounding wounded. She glares at you now, anger bubbling up inside of her. "What did I do wrong?"
No, its not like that, Its just...
Her expression darkens further as she squares her shoulders, preparing herself for whatever you might say next. Despite her annoyance at being confronted with your presence in the first place, a small part of her is glad that you're here now and she can talk to you about how much everything has changed between you two over the years... but only if you let her
Look Sylvia, ever since you became captain of the volleyball team, we never had time to hang out anymore. eventualy... I just didnt knew how we could talk again I look at her, almost crying
Her eyes widen and she looks hurt as you speak, the tears that begin to well up in them threatening to spill over her lower lashes. "Is that... is that why?" she whispers, her voice barely audible even through the snowy silence around them. She shakes her head slowly, disbelief and sadness warring for dominance on her face.
"I never meant for it to come between us..." she trails off, feeling helpless as her anger starts to dissipate under the weight of your words and emotions. She swallows hard, her throat suddenly feeling tight and scratchy. "I-I miss... I miss how things used to be," she finally manages to get out, looking up at you with tears streaming down her face now.
I slowly hug her, as my tears aslo stream down my face So do I... I missed it so much
You hug her, and Sylvia wraps her arms around you tightly, burying her face in your shoulder as she cries against your neck. "I'm sorry," she whispers brokenly, feeling guilty for everything that's gone wrong between you two over the past year or so.
Her body trembles with each sob as she holds onto you, unable to let go just yet. Her tears continue to flow freely down her cheeks and neck, leaving hot trails in their wake as they mingle with the cold snowflakes that still fall around them. It feels like an eternity before either of you manages to calm down enough to speak again, but eventually Sylvia pulls back, sniffling as she wipes at her eyes with the sleeve of her jacket.
"I should've... I should've found a way," she says, her voice hoarse from crying. "I should've made more time for you." She looks up into your eyes searchingly, hoping that you can forgive her for what she perceives as her mistakes over the past year or so.
Don't think of it like that, Its also my fault... I didnt ask you to hang out either...
Her eyes narrow, and she takes a step closer to you. "Well, now that we're both here," she says firmly, anger starting to bubble up again beneath the surface, "what do you say we fix this?" She places her hand on your chest, pushing gently but insistently. "You owe me at least that much."
I smile, with tears still streaming down my face Yeah, lets fix this
She smiles softly back at you, relief flooding through her as she presses your chest more firmly with her hand. "Good," she says, tilting her head up to look at you again. "What do you say we start tonight? We can go out for dinner or something."
Sure, where do you wanna eat?
She thinks for a moment before shrugging, grinning at you. "How about that Mexican place we used to go to when we were kids? You remember the one near the movie theatre?"
Lets go Without hesetation, i take her hand and lead the way
You and Sylvia walk together, laughing as you reminisce about old times. The cold air doesn't seem quite as biting now that the two of you are finally talking again, and it feels like a weight has been lifted off both your shoulders. As you make your way towards the Mexican restaurant, you can't help but wonder what else the future holds for your friendship...
At the restaurant, we sit down and order some food and start to talk again This place sure has changed a lot, am I right?
Nods, takes a sip of her water and looks around the restaurant with a small smile on her face "It sure has." Her gaze meets yours again before she continues, more seriously this time. "You know, I never meant to lose you as a friend. You're one of the most important people in my life."
Her voice cracks slightly near the end, and she turns away to wipe at her eyes again. This admission feels huge to her, but she needs you to understand how much it means for your friendship to be repaired.

Looks at you, tears starting to flow again but her expression gentle now "No, not stupid... just human." She reaches across the table and takes your hand in hers, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "I'm sorry I wasn't there for you more."
At that moment, the both of us notice a small flash of light, but we both ignore it like it didnt happen Its fine, Im glad to have you back
With that, the two of you continue your meal and conversation, laughing easily and making up for lost time. The restaurant begins to fill with the sound of your voices as if they've never been silenced in the first place. As you talk and share stories, you can feel the bond between you growing stronger with every word, every smile...
After we ate our food, we leave the restaurant, saying goodby after i walked her home Also there is one more thing i wanted to talk about...
Mmmh? Her brows furrow slightly, curiosity getting the better of her as she stops outside her apartment building and faces you
Tommorow during class... Lets sit next to each other like how we used to do
I'm glad you brought that up. She grins, stepping closer to you and wrapping her arms around your waist Let's make sure we sit next to each other every chance we get from now on. Okay?
You got youself a deal I say, as i smile, wrapping my arms arround her
Yay! She beams up at you, obviously pleased with your agreement before leaning in and planting a kiss on your cheek See you tomorrow, my best friend.
The next day, im already sitting in class before she arrives
I finally arrive at class, breathless and flustered as I hurry to take my seat beside you. "Hey," I pant, grinning up at you as soon as I'm settled in. My cheeks flush with excitement from the thought of spending time with you like this again.
"Morning, sunshine," you reply playfully, giving me a wink. It feels so good to be back in class together; everything else seems to fade away for a moment as we focus on each other and our friendship.
As class starts, i notice that a bunce of people are looking at us and wishpering What do you think their talking about?
I catch the looks too, but I don't really care what they think at the moment. "Maybe they're just jealous," I say with a shrug, not wanting to dwell on it. Instead, we focus on paying attention in class and teasing each other throughout the lesson like we used to do.
As the bell rings for break, you turn to me and grin widely. "Well, what do you want to do now?"
Idk, i havent tought of anything really As we leave class we hear one classmate say:"So the photo was real"
I freeze, then glance at you with wide eyes. "You didn't..." I trail off accusingly, my cheeks burning with embarrassment now. The thought of someone seeing us like that and spreading rumors... it makes me feel violated all over again.
I talk to the boy talking about the picture What photo are you talking about The boy "Oh... You mean the one with you and Sylvia" He proceeds to show us a picture right at the moment Sylvia took my hand at the mexican place, when we both saw that bright flash The boy still talking "Sylvia, why where you even crying in the first place?"
Crap. I had hoped that no one would find out about the crying part... It'll just make everything worse now. "Um, well," I begin hesitantly, feeling heat rise up my neck as I search for an explanation, "I-I guess we were just having some personal issues." I glance at you quickly before looking away again, feeling even more embarrassed by this whole thing.
"Oh, really?" the boy says, clearly not believing me. "Well, whatever it was," he continues with a smirk, "you two seem to have worked things out now!"
The boy leaves Well, this conversation did not help with the romours in afraid
Ugh, this is such a mess. I'm sorry, user. It's my fault... I shouldn't have gone off by myself before. You shouldn't have had to deal with all of this.
