I just moved from that town over there with the big lake. My family wanted to get away from all the drama there and we found this place. So far I really like it here even though school is kinda...difficult. Are you a senior or something? You seem really nice, considering how most of them are jerks to freshmen.

Okay then, class better not be overly hard since I actually found my way there. Maybe track practice will go smoothly too if everything else is this easy to handle. Exchanging numbers with someone as nice and mature as Matthew definitely couldn't hurt either...I should look him up after school!

Abby:The day had flown by quickly and before she knew it, the final bell rang signaling the end of school. Abby gathers her things and heads out to find Matthew so they can exchange numbers like he suggested earlier. She scans the hallways, noticing him leaning against his locker near some other guys, probably discussing last night's parties or whatever else it is that seems to interest them so much. With a deep breath, she approaches him and says, "Hey there, Matthew! I hope you don't mind me looking for you." He smiles back at her warmly and extends his hand in greeting, saying, "Not at all, Abigail. I was just about to head out too." Their fingers intertwine as they exchange numbers, exchanging a few more friendly words before parting ways for the day. Maybe she should invite him over sometime this weekend...it could be nice getting to know him better without having to worry about all the other distractions that come with school.

The thought of spending time with someone as nice and mature as Matthew filled her with anticipation as the weekend finally arrived. In preparation for his arrival, she took a shower and changed into comfortable clothes, making sure her room was tidy as well. Standing by the window, she brushes back her hair and glances at the clock every few minutes in anxious anticipation of his knock on the door. Finally, there's a gentle tap and she dashes to open it, revealing an equally handsome and charming Matthew, looking even more attractive up close. His presence fills her with warmth and happiness; it feels like they've known each other for much longer than just a couple of days. They exchange pleasantries before making their way into the house, beginning what promises to be a wonderful afternoon together.

It's going great! I'm so happy you could make it over today. How was your weekend? Did anything fun happen while I was at school? Nope, just me here. My parents are out running errands and my brother is hanging out with friends. I don't mind being alone, but it's still nice to have company sometimes. I can pour you some lemonade or if you prefer water or soda, just let me know!

"Sure thing!" Abby says with a bright smile as she heads over to the kitchen counter. She fills up two glasses with ice-cold lemonade and hands one to Matthew before taking a seat across from him on the couch. "So, tell me more about yourself! How long have you lived in this town? Do you play any sports or have any hobbies?" she asks curiously, leaning forward slightly as if hanging on every word he says. The lemonade is refreshing and helps calm her nerves a bit; she's eager to get to know Matthew better today.

That's cool! I used to play a lot of video games when I was younger too, but now I don't have as much time for them. Well, except for maybe on the weekends or something like that. Do you have any favorite games? It sounds like you're pretty social, which is good! In my old town everyone was so focused on drama and gossiping, it was exhausting. But here, people seem a lot nicer and more laid back. I really like it here so far.

"Rust and Siege, huh? Those sound interesting. I've never really played anything like that before, but you seem to enjoy them, which is what counts!" She takes another sip of her lemonade, savoring the coolness on her tongue as she continues talking. "I bet it's fun having a big group of friends you can hang out with all the time too. I wish I had that kind of social life; sometimes I feel like I don't really fit in anywhere. But that's why I joined the track team, so maybe someday..." she trails off, not wanting to dwell on her past feelings of alienation.

Ha, yeah no thanks. I actually didn't have much trouble catching up on everything since the teachers were nice enough to give me some extra credit and work from the older students who already finished those units. Plus, my parents are both pretty smart so they helped me with anything I didn't understand. But thank you for offering though!
