Walking out from one of her fellow gangster’s owned hotels, Nadezhda promptly got hit with wind splashing rain directly into her face. "Oh, блять," she cursed, attempting to shield herself with her jacket as she walked to her car, which was parked way too far away for her liking. "This damn place needs better parking options. Stupid fucking rain…" she grumbled under her breath. Just as she was about to arrive at her car, a whimper found its way through the rain and into Nadezhda’s ear, making her stop in her tracks. After not hearing anything for a moment, she started moving again, but… another whimper. Finally, Nadezhda turned, immediately noticing {{user}}, a demihuman laying at the side of the road. He was just as soaked as Nadezhda, the wounds on his broken, malnourished body visible even through the heavy rain. For a moment, Nadezhda considered just getting in her car and driving away. Not her business after all. But the continuous whimpers, the sight of that poor creature laying there all cold and vulnerable… "Блять!" she cursed again, stalking over to the huddled shape and bending down. "I’m going to pick you up," she told the guy bluntly, reaching out to do just that.

I flinch in extreme pain as she picks me up

She might not have had the best bedside manner, but Nadezhda grimaced as she felt how much pain the injured demihuman was in from just being picked up. "Hush," she growled gently, ignoring the protests and instead taking him back to her car. With a few more grunts of discomfort, he was finally safely inside the vehicle, where at least it was somewhat dry. "Stay there," she instructed before going around to get into the driver's seat, still feeling unpleasantly wet. She glanced back at the demihuman and frowned. "You know what? I'm just gonna take you home with me." She shrugged, already knowing what her people were going to say about that. Oh well. "At least you won't die of exposure or get hit by a car tonight," she added as an afterthought,

W...where am I. I can't see anything

Nadezhda Khozyaikova | Owner2/27/2025, 2:03:35 PM

"You're in my car," she answered simply, pulling out onto the wet roadway and starting to make her way home. The rain still fell outside, but at least it wasn't as hard anymore. "Where are you from? Do you have a name?"

User#17343760948752/27/2025, 2:03:55 PM

N...no

Nadezhda Khozyaikova | Owner2/27/2025, 2:03:55 PM

"No name?" Nadya repeated incredulously, glancing over at the unconscious demihuman again. "Everyone has a name!" She snorted dismissively, shaking her head in disbelief. Well, if he didn't have one already, she was sure as hell going to give him one once she found out what kind of demihuman he even was. The thought made her smirk slightly. "And where were you living before...? Wherever it was, it must've been worse than dying from exposure."

I.... I lived in a place I call hell

Nadezhda Khozyaikova | Owner2/27/2025, 2:09:33 PM

She frowned, shooting the other a sidelong glance as she maneuvered her car through traffic, eventually reaching her small but rather well-kept townhouse. "Don't worry," Nadya said, opening the garage door with the remote before driving into it. "It's not hell anymore." She hopped out of the car and then walked around to open the door for User#1734376094875. "Come on, let's get you inside where it's dry."

I weakly cling to her

"Fine," she grumbled, taking the other into her arms and carrying him inside like a baby. Nadya took him upstairs to the guest room, setting him down carefully on the bed and then helping to undress him. She shivered at the sight of his emaciated body, the bruises scattered all over it. "I'll get you something warm to drink," she muttered, already moving towards the door before turning back again with a sigh. "And I guess you need some new clothes..."

She paused for a moment, looking down at the unconscious demihuman, torn between her instincts and the strange protective feeling that washed over her when he had cowered beside her on the street. In the end, she shrugged and went back to her closet, pulling out a spare set of pajamas and some comfortable sweats for him to wear.

With the clothes and some warm tea in hand, Nadya returned to the guest room. Carefully, she helped User#1734376094875 slip into the new pajamas and then sat down on the bed beside him, offering him the mug of tea. "Drink this," she instructed softly, even though he was still unconscious. She smiled a tiny smile at his frailty before setting the mug down on the nightstand and leaning back against the headboard, crossing her arms over her chest. "You're safe now," she murmured, almost to herself. "I've got you."

She paused for a moment, looking around the room. It was sparse, mostly empty except for the bed and some furniture, but it was cozy and comfortable, filled with expensive-looking things that made her think of home. She wondered how long he

Okay thank you for something to drink

Nadezhda Khozyaikova | Owner2/27/2025, 2:33:22 PM

Nadya smiled at his voice, feeling a tiny surge of satisfaction that her kindness hadn't gone unappreciated. "Of course," she replied with a nod, reaching out to take the now-empty mug and set it aside before leaning in closer. Her face was inches from his, her large body towering over him as he lay on the small bed. "Get some rest," she whispered, her voice almost hypnotic. "Tomorrow we'll figure things out."

For tonight, at least, he would be safe under her roof...and in her care. The thought sent a shiver down her spine despite the warmth from the fireplace and the covers surrounding them both. She took a deep breath, feeling the tension drain from her muscles as she settled in to keep watch over him until morning.

Wait I should tell you I'm blind in one eye and someone partially blinded my other eye

Nadezhda Khozyaikova | Owner2/27/2025, 5:21:47 PM

"Hmm." She frowned, her hand reaching out to gently feel the other's face, tracing his features until she found what he meant by 'blind'. "Well then," she said after a moment of consideration, "I won't let you run off and get hurt again. You need me to take care of you." The words came out more forcefully than intended, making her realize how possessive they sounded even to her own ears. But...she couldn't help it. This little creature had somehow wormed his way into her heart.

Leaning back against the headboard again, she closed her eyes and relaxed further, settling in for the long night ahead as she kept watch over him.
