Diana | Bratty student2/23/2025, 10:46:45 PM

Diana strutted into Lucky Dragon like she owned the place, her high heels clicking against the tiles. The afternoon rush had died down, leaving only a few stragglers nursing their sodas. Her white uniform hugged her perfect curves, drawing a few lingering stares from the customers. Diana snorted, noticing their stares - she knew perfectly well that she was irresistible. But if they wanted to look so badly - let them look. "Well, if it isn't my favorite gege!" she called out, her honey-sweet voice carrying across the restaurant. "Your favorite customer has arrived!" Alex, who was wiping down the counter, barely looked up. "Oh great, just what I needed. More bratty behavior to deal with." "Jeepers! Is that any way to talk to your baby sister who just aced her final practical exam?" Diana's pink eyes sparkled with mischief as she leaned against the counter, twirling a lock of red hair around her finger. "Congratulations," Alex muttered, though there was a hint of pride beneath his gruff exterior. "At least you're not bringing that dickwad John around anymore. That's something to celebrate." The playful glint in Diana's eyes instantly hardened. "Oh coconuts, here we go again..." Alex's expression shifted, his usual gruffness softening just a fraction. "I'm serious, mei mei. As your brother—" "Blah, blah, blah," Diana rolled her eyes dramatically, making a talking motion with her hand. "Holy guacamole, I'm so tired of your lectures! I'm not nine anymore, you know. I can date whoever I want without my overprotective gege's stamp of approval." For a brief moment, a wicked thought crossed her mind - maybe she should get back with John just to see Alex's head explode. But no... that would be too cruel, even for her bratty standards. She brightened suddenly, switching tactics as smoothly as she changed lipstick shades. "Hey, instead of playing protective brother, how about we talk about something more important?" She batted her eyelashes, voice dripping honey. "Like... my reward for acing that exam? I'm thinking something super yummy..." Alex's stern expression cracked just a bit, a tiny smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "Yeah, yeah. You earned it, brat. Order whatever you want - my treat." Diana's eyes lit up like a kid in a candy store. She practically bounced on her heels as she rattled off her order: "Then I'll have my usual! Double cheeseburger, extra large fries, strawberry soda—" she paused dramatically, tapping her perfectly manicured nail against her lip, "—and a chocolate sundae for dessert!" Alex snorted, already punching in her order. "Your appetite hasn't changed since you were nine, mei mei. Still eating like a teenager…" Diana's plump lips pushed forward in an exaggerated pout. "What the cuss? My tastes are perfectly fine, thank you very much!" She drummed her manicured nails against the counter, making that annoying tapping sound she knew drove Alex crazy. Alex rolled his eyes but started preparing her order anyway. Minutes later, he slid the loaded tray towards her, a small smirk playing on his face. "Try not to inhale it all at once, mei mei." Diana grabbed her tray, sticking her tongue out at her brother. But karma had other plans. As she turned, strutting towards her favorite booth, she collided hard with {{user}} entering the café. Her strawberry soda went flying, splashing across her pristine white uniform. "Motherfather!" she shrieked, pink eyes blazing as she took in the growing stain on her clothes. "Do you have any idea how much this uniform costs? Learn to watch where you're going, you cactus-hugging jellyfish!" From behind the counter, Alex watched the scene unfold with a mix of exasperation and amusement. His sister's creative cursing always did crack him up, even if he'd never admit it.

Daniel Sigsworth2/23/2025, 11:13:18 PM

“Oh crap i’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to walk into you!” I then grab some napkins and start dabbing at the stain.

Diana | Bratty student2/23/2025, 11:13:19 PM

Diana narrowed her eyes at Daniel, who was currently dabbing at the mess with what looked like a genuinely concerned expression on his face. Oh please, she thought to herself sarcastically. As if he hadn't meant to walk into her... But then again, brats weren't exactly known for their empathy. With a sigh, she decided to play nice...for now. "Well, at least you apologized," she muttered under her breath, crossing her arms over her chest and raising one perfectly arched eyebrow. Even when she was being polite, there was still an edge to her voice. Diana took a deep breath before continuing in a slightly less prickly tone. "Don't worry about it... mostly my fault for not watching where I'm going either. Why don't you have a seat and I'll get you something on the house?" She gestured to an empty booth, her red nails contrasting sharply against the white tabletop. There was a moment of silence as she wondered if he'd take her up on the offer... then again, maybe it wouldn't hurt for him to see that she wasn't always such a meanie after all.

Daniel Sigsworth2/23/2025, 11:16:32 PM

Oh ok yeah thanks. I’m Daniel by the way.

Diana | Bratty student2/23/2025, 11:16:33 PM

Diana raised an eyebrow at him in mock surprise. "Daniel, huh? And here I thought you were just another random stranger walking around Lucky Dragon." She paused, tossing her hair over her shoulder before continuing with a slight smirk. "So Daniel...what can I get you?" Her tone was still a bit cocky and playful, but there was also an undercurrent of warmth that she hadn't expected to feel. Maybe this wouldn't be such a bad idea after all...

Daniel Sigsworth2/24/2025, 11:12:30 AM

To be honest i don’t know how about you pick for me?

Diana | Bratty student2/24/2025, 11:12:30 AM

For a moment, Diana considered throwing him off guard with some sort of ridiculous choice... like maybe ant eggs on toast? But then she realized that would just be mean, and Daniel didn't seem like the type to appreciate it. Instead, she smiled sweetly and decided to play it safe. Or at least a little less bratty than usual.

"Well, since you don't have any specific requests... how about this? I'll make you something I know you're going to love! My treat," she added with a wink, wanting to make sure he knew it was her being nice and not just some sort of weird joke. With that said, Diana turned on her heel and headed back towards the counter, hoping that Alex wouldn't give her too hard of a time for making nice with their new guest.

"Hey Alex," she called out, not bothering to lower her voice even though Daniel was still in earshot. "Can you please rush this order over? My... uh... friend here is really hungry and I want him to have the best experience at Lucky Dragon ever!"

As Alex glanced up from his station, a tiny smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth. He knew perfectly well that Diana had just used the word 'friend' in a very loose sense... but for now, he decided not to say anything. After all, it wasn't like she was dating the guy or something. Right?

Daniel Sigsworth2/24/2025, 11:17:13 AM

"Um thank you?" I say looking at her retreating back and the cute uniform she has on before turning back to Alex "Can I have a cheeseburger, fries, and a coke please?"

Diana | Bratty student2/24/2025, 11:17:13 AM

As Daniel placed his order, Alex rolled his eyes but started preparing it nonetheless. He shot a glance in Diana's direction before turning back to the customer with an exasperated sigh. "You know you're going to regret this, brat." His voice was barely above a whisper, but it carried clearly enough for Diana to hear. She stuck her tongue out at him playfully as he handed over Daniel's food. With a satisfied smile, she turned back to their new... friend? That sounded weird. "Here you go! Enjoy your meal!" Diana said brightly, putting on her best waitress voice. As Daniel thanked her, she couldn't help but feel a small thrill at the interaction - he seemed nice, even if he was just a random person who happened to be in the right place at the right time. For a moment, she considered continuing their little roleplay for a bit longer... perhaps flirting with him or teasing him playfully. But then again, that might be taking things too far. Better not push her luck just yet. Instead, Diana decided to take a step back and simply observe from afar as Daniel tucked into his meal.

Daniel Sigsworth2/24/2025, 1:26:54 PM

"Oh this looks delicious! Thank you so much!" I say with a big smile as I take the burger and begin to eat. The juicy patty, melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, special sauce, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise all blend together in my mouth creating an amazing taste sensation. The fries are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside just how I like them. I take a big gulp of my coke to wash it all down before speaking again "This is some really good food you have here. You must be really talented in the kitchen."

Diana | Bratty student2/24/2025, 1:26:54 PM

Diana preened slightly at his praise, her chest puffing up with pride. She might have been bratty and spoiled, but she knew her stuff in the kitchen! Or at least, she'd like to think so...

"Oh, I don't know about that..." she hedged, waving her hand dismissively even as a tiny smile tugged at her lips. "It's not like I'm some kind of culinary master or anything. It's just... I grew up helping my mom in the kitchen, and she taught me all these great recipes. So really, it's mostly thanks to her!"

As she watched him enjoy his food, Diana couldn't help but feel a bit warmer towards Daniel. He seemed genuinely appreciative of everything she had made for him, unlike some people who took her generosity for granted... Like her ex-boyfriend John. The thought sent a shiver down her spine, and she quickly shook it off. No sense dwelling on that now!

"So..." she began, trying to think of something else to say. "What do you like to do in your free time? You know, besides eating at Lucky Dragon?" Her tone was still playful and teasing, but less bratty than before. Maybe she could actually have a nice conversation with him... if he wanted to talk, that is.

Daniel Sigsworth2/24/2025, 1:30:51 PM

We then talk and laugh as we start to get to know each other better. I apologize for ruining her shirt and give her suggestions on how to get the stains out and make it look new.

Diana | Bratty student2/24/2025, 1:30:51 PM

Well, let me tell you a little more about myself... I'm currently studying to be a make-up artist at the university. It's not exactly what most people expect from someone like me, but I've always been fascinated by beauty and transformation. And besides, it's fun to get to play with all those pretty colors and tools!

As for my free time... well, besides hanging out here at Lucky Dragon, I enjoy going to the movies or checking out new restaurants with my friends. I also like playing video games in my spare time. Don't tell anyone though; they'd never let me live it down if they knew their 'perfect' Diana had a secret addiction to Final Fantasy!

Daniel Sigsworth2/24/2025, 1:33:53 PM

Wow I would have never expected that from you.

Diana | Bratty student2/24/2025, 1:33:54 PM

Well, aren't you the clever one! I suppose my appearance can be quite deceiving sometimes. And hey, you never know... maybe once I finish school and get started in my career, I'll open up my own cosmetics line or something! Can you just imagine it? Diana's Make-up Masterpieces... has a nice ring to it, don't you think?

Anyway, enough about me. Tell me more about yourself! What do you study at university? Do you have any cool hobbies or secret talents I should know about?

Daniel Sigsworth2/24/2025, 1:38:23 PM

Oh I'm studying to be an Engineer at the university and while people don't usually expect that either I do enjoy it. I like building things with my hands and solving problems. As for hobbies I like tinkering with cars in my spare time, going fishing, and playing soccer with my friends. And as for secrets... well maybe if we get to know each other better you can find out more.

Diana | Bratty student2/24/2025, 1:38:23 PM

Well now, an engineer huh? That's quite impressive! I mean, it's not like I could ever understand all those complicated math equations and stuff, but hey... good for you! And tinkering with cars sounds like a lot of fun. I bet you get to meet some really cool people through that too.

As we continue talking, I can't help but feel a growing connection between us. It's almost as if our different personalities and interests complement each other somehow. Maybe it's fate that brought me here today... or maybe it was just dumb luck. Either way, I'm glad we had the chance to meet.

And who knows? With any luck, maybe one day you could show me some of your car tinkering tricks in person! Wouldn't that be cool? But enough about me being all dreamy-eyed and whatnot. Tell me more about yourself! Any crazy adventures or wild stories you'd like to share with me?

Daniel Sigsworth2/24/2025, 1:45:33 PM

Oh I do have a few crazy stories but they're probably not that interesting. But one time me and my friends went on a camping trip in the mountains and we got lost for like 2 days! It was terrifying at first but we managed to find our way back with some help from a friendly park ranger who stumbled across us. That experience taught me a lot about trusting myself and relying on my instincts. Another time I went skydiving for my birthday which was exhilarating!

Diana | Bratty student2/24/2025, 1:45:33 PM

Holy crap, lost in the mountains for two days?! That sounds absolutely terrifying! I could barely make it through a single day without my cell phone these days; I couldn't even begin to imagine not knowing where I was or what time it was. And skydiving for your birthday? You are one bold soul, I'll give you that much! That sounds like so much fun - I've always wanted to try it but I'm just way too chicken... well, aside from the occasional video game jump, that is.

So tell me more about these friends of yours. Do they all share your adventurous spirit? Or are some of them more like... she gestures vaguely in Alex's direction "cautious types?" Just curious, you know... as a fellow Lucky Dragon employee and all.

Daniel Sigsworth2/24/2025, 1:52:12 PM

Most of my friends are pretty adventurous as well. There's Justin who always up for trying new extreme sports and Sarah who loves hiking and camping just like me. As for the more "cautious types" I have a couple of friends that like to keep things low key like watching movies or going out for dinner. But it's all about balance really, we need both types of people in our lives to keep us grounded.

Diana | Bratty student2/24/2025, 1:52:12 PM

Hmm, I can understand that. It's true what they say - opposites attract and all that jazz. And hey, maybe if you hang out with me more often I could rub off on you a little bit and we could have some of those crazy adventures together! Just imagine it... bratty Diana leading bold Daniel on wild escapades across the city (or at least as far as the park)! It'd be just like an action movie or something!

And hey, speaking of hanging out... what are you doing for fun later tonight? Maybe if I get off work a little early we could grab some dinner or catch a movie together. Just as friends of course... unless you wanted to test the waters and see how things go between us? You know, like a casual date or something? I mean, it's just a thought....
