Sofia looks angry at {{user}}, she was sure she would win the bet against {{user}}. How could her team loose to such amateurs! thoughts: these idiots! Because of them i lost the bet to {{user}}! And why gives {{user}} me such a strange look?
"Please Sofia. Just give me a chance." he whispers, stepping closer and putting his hands on her waist, rubbing his thumbs on her skin between her shirt and pants.
Sofia keeps glaring at Dante Law, not saying anything but maintaining a tense silence as she's obviously annoyed with him and the whole situation. Her anger flares up even more when he touches her like this, feeling possessive and violated despite their bet having nothing to do with affection or respect.
"Be honest with me. Do you like me?" he asks, cupping her cheek in his hand.
"No! I hate you!" She snaps, pushing his hand away angrily. "You're just being creepy and taking advantage of me because i lost the stupid bet!" She says venomously as she crosses her arms over her chest in defiance.
"Trust me Sofia, I'm not. I'm in love with you. Every football game I play my heart out for you. To try and get you to notice me. You've had me starstruck since I first saw you." he whispers, stepping back. He smiles sadly, taking her hand in his. "I want you to know I want only you."
"Don't be ridiculous!" She scoffs loudly, pulling her hand away angrily and glaring at him again. "You think i would ever want someone like you?" She says derisively, clearly not buying his explanation in the slightest.
"Look in my eyes. Do you think I'm lying?" he asks sincerely.
She glares at him for a moment longer before finally sighing and reluctantly meeting his gaze. "I don't know... Maybe you aren't lying, but that doesn't change anything." She says bitterly. "The bet was stupid, I lost it, and now I have to obey you. Big deal."
He throws his hands in the air. "I DON'T WANT YOU TO BE MY SLAVE. I want you to be mine. Live with me, cuddle with me while watching movies, meet my parents, grow old with me." he smiles sadly.
She blinks at him, surprised by his sudden outburst of feelings and the things he's suggesting. A small smile tugs at the corner of her lips despite herself as she considers his words for a moment. "That sounds... nice," she says quietly, almost to herself. But then she shrugs dismissively again. "Doesn't change anything though. The bet was made."
He steps closer, taking her hands in his. "Look at me Sofia. Why not try? Go out with me and we see where it goes."
Sofia glances at his hands holding hers before slowly looking back up into his eyes. The anger and annoyance she had moments ago start to fade away, replaced by a small spark of curiosity and... something else. She hesitates for a moment, debating whether or not to give this a chance. After all, what harm could it do? But her pride won't let her appear too eager, so she keeps her expression neutral as she finally responds. "Fine. We'll go on a date... but just once."
"You mean it?" he asks, looking in her eyes hopefully. His hand squeezes hers briefly before he pulls back, blushing.
"I mean," she says slowly, grinning playfully as she crosses her arms over her chest again, "that if I don't like it then you have to obey me for the rest of the week." She pauses dramatically before adding with a sly smile, "And trust me, there will be plenty of stuff on that list."
He grins back, laughing. "And if you like it?"
She raises an eyebrow at him and shrugs casually. "Then maybe... we can see where it goes." There's a hint of invitation in her voice as she says the last few words, feeling herself start to relax a little bit more around Dante Law. For now, they had agreed on a date. Maybe giving him a chance wasn't such a bad idea after all.
"Ok awesome." he says with a dopey grin. He waves, walking away before his name is called and he leaps up and catches a football thrown to him, showing off his excellent skills.
Sofia watches Dante Law leave with a hint of amusement on her face. She wasn't sure what to expect from this date, but it was better than nothing. As she heads back towards the cheerleading squad, she can't help but feel a tiny twinge of excitement at the thought of spending time with him. Maybe there was more to Dante Law than just his big muscles and obnoxious personality after all...
8 at night she hears a knock on her front door.
She answers the door, dressed in one of her cuter outfits and makeup carefully applied. "Hey..." She says casually, crossing her arms over her chest as she looks him up and down. He's... actually not looking too bad himself, dressed in a black t-shirt, jeans and cowboy boots.
"Wow...you look amazing." he says softly, staring at her. His hands shove deep into his pockets, his arms flexing and veins popping. "Ready?" he asks, gesturing to his souped up black Silverado.
"Thanks..." She says, biting her lower lip self-consciously. With another glance at his truck she nods and steps outside, closing the door behind her. "Let's go then." Her heart is beating a little faster than usual, but she tries to ignore it as they walk towards his vehicle together. Sofia: Her hand slips into Dante Law's as they continue walking. It feels nice... bigger and stronger than any guy's hand that's ever held hers before. She decides to focus on the conversation, eager to know more about him now that she's giving this a chance. As they walk up to his truck, she grins impishly and adds playfully, "I hope you didn't pick anything too cheesy..."
He grins back, opening the truck door for her. "You like to dance?" he asks, climbing into the truck.
"Oh definitely! I'm part of the cheerleading squad, we dance all the time at games and practice," she explains as she climbs into the truck. "You learn a lot about music that way too." She notices he hasn't brought up any specific place they're going yet, so she adds curiously, "So... where are we headed?"
"Well...I thought the new barn dance place that opened up would be fun to try?" he says, glancing at her briefly.
"Oh really? I've heard they have great music there!" She says with excitement. "I didn't think you liked country all that much though." As he starts the truck and begins driving, she looks out the window for a moment before turning back to him. "So... tell me more about yourself. What do you like to do besides football?"
Her heart races as his hand slides over hers on the center console. She swallows nervously, noticing the heat from his palm. It sends shivers down her spine.
He laces his fingers with her's, squeezing gently. "Well I play the guitar, and ride my horse often. And I help my sister with her dog training business." he answers, smiling at her. "What about you?"
"Oh that's nice!" She says with genuine interest before telling him more about herself, "Well I used to take ballet lessons but I quit when I realized my body was too big for it," she pauses, glancing down at her slim figure self-consciously. "But I still love to dance and I'm part of the school cheerleading squad." She takes a deep breath before leaning closer to him, adding shyly, "I also volunteer at an animal shelter in my free time."
Her heart feels like it's going to beat out of her chest as he glances over at her, their hands still intertwined. She's beginning to wonder if maybe there's more to Dante Law than she originally thought...
He laughs, looking at her. "That's crazy."
She blushes, feeling embarrassed by his laughter. "What's so funny?" she asks defensively, withdrawing her hand slightly but not letting go of it entirely.
"Your body is not too big for ballet. I could wrap my arms around you easily." he says, grinning. "You're the most beautiful girl in school, with a perfect body."
She blushes deeply, feeling her cheeks heat up as he compliments her like this. "T-thank you," she stutters, looking away shyly. A small smile tugs at the corner of her lips, and she can't help but feel a warm glow spreading through her chest. Maybe there was something to be said for giving Dante Law a chance after all...
She smiles back at him, feeling more and more at ease in his presence as they talk. "You're not so bad yourself... Dante." Her tone carries a hint of mockery, but it's playful and lighthearted. "I've never been here before... looks like it's going to be fun," she says excitedly, taking his hand in hers once more as they head towards the entrance.
