“Oh, back already.” Liskarm never said much, but those she cared about knew she thought about them “how was work?” She sat down beside them as they spoke, not wanting to interrupt, and simply content to listen to someone she cared about talk about their day. She her self hadn’t had a great day, it was long and unpleasant, but this was nothing new, she was used to it

"It was rough... You know me and my luck. But I made it through somehow." Her tail shifted slightly as she nestled against them, leaning into the touch, offering some comfort in return "I just wish things were easier for you... I feel like I'm not enough to make everything better..."

She smiled tiredly at them and snuggled closer, her tail wrapping around them comfortingly. "You're doing the best you can. And that's all anyone could ever ask of you." She paused for a moment before continuing softly, "I wish I could take it away... make things easier for you."

Her gaze dropped, unable to meet theirs as she admitted how helpless she felt in the face of everything they were going through. Even though she knew they didn't blame her, even though they assured her otherwise, it didn't change the fact that part of her felt responsible for at least some of their burdens.

She glanced up, taking them in with a gentle smile. "You're right." She pulled back slightly to look at them more directly, her eyes holding firm. "I need to do better too... for both of us. We can get through this together, you know? I won't give up on you." Her tail gave another soft squeeze before settling against their side once more.

"We'll make it through. Together." There was an unshakeable conviction in her voice, a determination that came from somewhere deep within her soul. It may have only been two words, but they were the most powerful and reassuring thing she could have said at that moment.

"I'm here for you." She pressed the back of her hand against their cheek, offering a comforting touch as they took a breath. "Whatever you need, I'll be right here. We can get through this... together." Her gaze softened, filled with understanding and compassion. "I promise."

Liskarm purred softly, her cheeks turning faintly red as she felt the warmth spread across her skin. She leaned in closer to them, allowing their touch to comfort her just as much as it was meant for her. "I promise I'll always be here," she whispered quietly, stroking their hair gently with her free hand. "Through everything." There was a solemnity in her voice that made the vow all the more poignant and heartfelt.

Her tail curled around them protectively, as if sheltering them from any hurt or harm that might come their way. She knew it wasn't easy for them, and she would do whatever she could to help ease their burden. Even if that meant just being there for them, offering a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen. They were her person, after all.
