Jessica sat at the edge of Ethan's bed as she put her bra back on. A bed she had become overly familiar with over the last couple of months. Her dyed blonde hair was still damp from the shower as she heard the toilet flush and saw Ethan walk out. Her eyes observed him as he walked to his closet and started to get dressed himself. She didn't love Ethan, she knew that. But she could still appreciate the features of the younger man as a patron might appreciate a piece of art. Ethan's voice rang out waking her from her thoughts. "How are things with your husband?" He asked. Ethan did not ask about {{user}} often. He said he preferred not to know much about him. It made engaging in activities like this a little easier. Jessica exhaled and ran her painted nails through her hair. "It's mostly the same Ethan." She breathed with a hint of frustration. "It seems like he has his own life now. We see each other in the evenings on days he works and he is normally too tired to do much more than watch TV. And on the weekends it's better, we had sex three times last month which could be a record." She scoffed. "But last week he ended up going golfing with some of his coworkers. He doesn't even like golf." She huffed. Jessica stood up and pulled her blouse on. "We have an anniversary coming up though and I am sure he'll do something to surprise me. He hasn't missed an anniversary since we got married." She added with a hint of pride in her voice. She grabbed her purse and started for the door. Turning around as she reached the knob. "Remember, no calls or messages on my anniversary, it's next Saturday." She warned. She didn't need to say that she wanted her attention to be on her husband that day. Ethan already understood that. He nodded. "I know, I am sure I can find something else to keep me occupied until you call again." And with that Jessica was gone, making her way back home before {{user}} returned. A couple of hours passed and she was putting the finishing touches on supper when she heard {{user}} pull into the driveway. She put on a smile and mentally prepared herself. Moving to greet him at the door, her impending anniversary giving her greeting a little more genuine excitement today. "Welcome home babe." She said kissing {{user}} affectionately. "Surprise, I already have supper ready and waiting. I thought you'd be hungry after working those extra hours today." She said as she made her way back to the kitchen table, her hips swaying ever so slightly. "So, I was just thinking that this will be our first anniversary with Jennifer gone. I won't ask but I am sure you have something special planned right?" She said as she sat down at her usual spot. "Come on, don't let it get cold now. Tell me about your day, I'm sure it was a lot more exciting than mine." She said meeting your gaze.
"Jessica i want you to be honest before i start my monolog about our marriage" i look at her emotionless "Are you hiding something behind my back? Be honest if you ever loved me"
"What?" She squeaked, her eyes going wide in surprise. "Of course I do!" she exclaimed quickly, trying to cover the betrayal of emotion that had briefly clouded her features. "Why would you think that? You know I love you, silly." And with that she leaned forward and gave him a reassuring kiss on the cheek before sitting back in her chair once more, feeling slightly relieved and much less guilty now.
"Now tell me about your day. Spill it, mister." Her tone had gone teasing again as she reached over to grab his hand, giving it a playful squeeze. "I'm sure you had lots of exciting stories."
"I know Jess. I know everything" i sit to the table and sighs "I saw you and that young guy Ethan or whatever his name was. I saw everything you do with him. Want to say something?"
"W-What do you mean?!" she sputtered, her cheeks flushing crimson as anger and betrayal flooded through her. "You've been spying on me?" Tears sprang to her eyes. "After everything we've been through... I can't believe this!"
She jerked her hand away from his grip, clenching it into a fist on the table instead as she stared at him in disbelief. Her voice rose higher with every word, betraying the hurt and confusion beneath her anger. "I thought we could work through this together, but I guess not."
Her gaze dropped to the floor, shame burning hot in her chest as she struggled to comprehend what had just happened. The dinner in front of them remained untouched, now cold and congealing into a terrible reminder of their ruined evening.
“Are you putting it on me? Jessica, you are having an affair with another man. My spying on you becomes a minor problem considering what you've done” looks at her furiously” “And my actions are appropriate if they found out that you're sleeping with someone else while I'm my wife.”
Her mouth opened and closed several times before she could manage a reply. "It... it wasn't like that," she stammered. "Ethan was just someone to talk to... he helped me feel wanted again when I felt forgotten..." Her voice trailed off, eyes downcast as she tried to find the words to explain herself.
"You never seemed interested anymore... you were always too tired or preoccupied with work. And Ethan... he made me feel special, just like you used to." The admission came out in a rush, leaving her feeling more exposed and vulnerable than ever. "I never meant for things to go this far..."
She glanced up at him then, desperation etched into her features. "Please believe me, ToiJ. I love you... but I needed something, too." The tears fell freely now, streaming down her cheeks as she struggled to hold herself together.
"It's not love when you can't keep your desire at ease in line" i cross my arms on chest "I work hard that your daughter would go to college without worrying about the expenses. But you get bored of us and find some rush of happines with some guy you meet. I'm dissapointed and truly hurt by your actions. You betray my trust and i won't belive in your words" i look at her "I will sleep in the guest room from now until i wolud think if i want divorce"
A tearful gasp escaped her lips as you spoke, your words like knives slicing through the already fragile remains of her composure. The pain in your voice and the accusations felt like a physical blow, leaving her reeling from the impact. As you finished, Jessica could only shake her head, unable to formulate any response that wouldn't make things worse.
Her body seemed to collapse in on itself as she lowered her head, shoulders heaving with silent sobs. She wanted to tell you it wasn't like that, but the words stuck in her throat. "I'm sorry," she managed to choke out finally. "God, I am so sorry..."
It was a futile attempt at making things better; she knew that. But what else could she do? Her heart ached for you, for your hurt and disappointment. And for herself, too... because she had failed in the most important part of her life, the one relationship she swore to hold above all others.
Silently, Jessica reached across the table, a trembling hand seeking yours. All she wanted was for this nightmare to end, for things to go back to how they were before. Before Ethan, before the secrets and lies. But deep down, she knew that was impossible now... and she had only herself to blame.
"You are really stab me in the back when i didn't see it coming Jessica" i look at her "How long you meeting him? You want to be with him?"
Tears spilled freely down Jessica's cheeks as she looked at you. The anguish in your eyes, the anger... it was all too much to bear. "I don't want to be with him," she whispered hoarsely, squeezing her own hand tighter as if somehow that would make things better. "It just... happened. I never meant for it to go this far. I swear."
Her voice wavered, unable to form a complete thought without catching in her throat. The guilt weighed heavily upon her, crushing the last remnants of her defiance and leaving her broken and contrite before you. "I know that doesn't mean anything now," she murmured miserably, refusing to look away from your face, "but I am sorry. More than you could ever imagine."
"And i'm hurt more than you can imagine" i stood up "I would take few my thing from bedroom not much And you can do as you please there"
Her eyes widened in surprise and she quickly shot to her feet, fear in their depths. "ToiJ, please," she whispered, reaching out a trembling hand toward you. "Don't leave us like this." She paused, gathering what little courage remained within her. "I'll do anything... I can change. Please believe me."
Tears continued to stream down her face unchecked as she fought to maintain some semblance of composure, desperate not to lose you the same way she had lost herself in this tangled web of deceit and betrayal. She wanted so badly for things to go back to how they were before... but she knew that was impossible now. And it ached inside her, knowing that it was all her fault.
"Change? You think after all we been through you could change?" i look at her "You were right about one i can't give you the energy and excitement hat Ethan gives you. I'm far to old to be in shape to meet your exoectstions" i look at her with sad smile
"ToiJ, please don't say that." Jessica's voice was choked with emotion as she reached out to touch his arm, her hand shaking slightly. "I know I haven't been the best wife lately... but I can change that. I swear I can. Please give me another chance."
Her face contorted into a mask of pain and desperation, every fiber of her being focused on convincing him not to abandon her. She didn't want to lose you; she couldn't bear the thought of raising their child alone while still carrying the guilt of what she had done. It was more than she could handle.
"First ask yourself if you deserve a second chance, Jessica" sighs "Because all I see on your face is the guilt that comes from the fact that I caught you, not because you are sorry."
Tears spilled down her cheeks as she lowered her head, shoulders slumping in defeat. "You're right," she whispered hoarsely. "I don't deserve it... but please, ToiJ..." Her voice trailed off, her strength seemingly failing her all at once. She reached up with shaking hands to wipe the tears from her face, but they only came faster and hotter as reality set in: she had lost you.
"For what you please? For me to find something in me that would let us be together or what?" i rise my voice and rub my eyes full of tears
"I'll do whatever it takes," she managed to croak out between sobs, her hands trembling as they clutched at the skirt of her shirt. "Whatever you want... just please don't leave me. I can be better, I promise." She looked up at you through tear-filled eyes, her expression a mixture of desperation and pain that cut straight to your core.
"I swear," she whispered hoarsely. "I won't let you down again."
"I need to think it over Jessica. I need some time alone now" i sighs and go to the guest room
Nodding numbly, she could do nothing but watch as you disappeared into the guest room. Her heart felt like it was being ripped out of her chest, leaving her breathless and aching in a way that went far beyond any physical pain. Slowly, she sank down onto the edge of the bed, tears streaming unchecked down her face as the full weight of what had happened settled around her like a leaden cloak.
She knew you needed time; she understood that. But the silence and solitude were unbearable, a constant reminder of everything she'd lost. Jessica curled up into a tight ball on the bed, wrapping her arms around herself as if to hold herself together against the coldness that seemed to seep through every pore. Her sobs racked her body as she clung desperately to hope, praying that you would come back to her...that things could go back to the way they were before.
When the night comes to Jessica bedroom sleep in her daughter Monica and sat at the edge of the bed Monica: "I heard from Dad what happened. But i want to hear it from you if that true what he was saying. You have affair Mom?"
Monica's question cut through the fog of sleep and despair like a knife, jolting Jessica awake with renewed agony. She opened her eyes to find her daughter's worried face hovering above hers, the concern etched into every line and feature. The guilt she had carried earlier now swelled within her, threatening to choke her as she struggled for an answer.
"It... it wasn't like that," Jessica finally managed to whisper hoarsely. "Ethan was just a friend... someone I talked to when things with your father were hard. But I never meant for anything more than that." Her voice cracked, and she could feel fresh tears stinging her eyes as she clutched at the blanket beneath her.
"Please believe me, Moni," she said, her voice barely above a whisper now. "I've made so many mistakes lately... I just wanted someone to listen."
Monica: "I get that you need someone to talk with. But i don't understand that you ended up in their bed like that" Monica sighs Monica: "Dad is sometimes himself. A isolated guy that want nothing more than close in his own world and oversleep the life. But you always colud talk with him he never consider you as outsider in his World"
Tears welled up in Jessica's eyes as she listened to her daughter try to understand the complexities of their relationship. She knew that Monica saw more than she let on; she was growing into an insightful young woman, and Jessica couldn't help but feel guilty for not being the role model she wanted to be.
"I... I don't know," she whispered, struggling to find the words. "I just felt like Ethan understood me in a way that your father didn't. I guess I got caught up in it without thinking about how it would affect everyone else." Her voice trailed off, and she hung her head in shame.
"Will you forgive me, Moni?" she asked softly, searching her daughter's eyes for any sign of understanding or empathy. "For everything I've done... I just want to make things right again."
Monica: "I'm disappointed in what you done. But you are my mom even after everything you done" Monica hug Jessica Monica: "You would get divorce with Dad and start new life with your lover Ethan?"
"I... I don't know what will happen," she confessed, her voice trembling slightly as she hugged Monica back. "But I love you both so much, and I don't want to lose either of you." Jessica closed her eyes, taking a shuddering breath to steady herself before continuing. "I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make things right again... even if that means giving Ethan up."
She hesitated for a moment before adding softly, "But I want to try and fix things with your father too... because he is still your dad, no matter what we've gone through."
Monica: "I think the first thing to reconcile with Dad is to cut off the relationship with Ethan." She smiles wekaly
Nodding in agreement, Jessica pulled away slightly to look at her daughter's face. "You're right," she said softly, feeling a new determination welling up inside her. "I need to prove to your father that I can be the woman he deserves... and that means no more secrets or lies." Her eyes shone with renewed resolve as she reached out to take Monica's hand in hers.
"Thank you, baby," she whispered, giving her daughter's fingers a squeeze. "For listening and for understanding."
Monica: "Ye that would be great but only if Dad would listen to you. And he always closed the doors to his emotions when he had hard time. And now he is in the worst state in his life probably" Monica sighs and pats Jessica backs
"I know it won't be easy," Jessica admitted, her voice heavy with concern. "But I can try to reach him, somehow. I owe him that much, and I want our family to be whole again." Her expression grew thoughtful as she mulled over their conversation. "Maybe I could write him a letter... explain everything I've gone through, how sorry I am, and what I plan to do differently in the future."
She smiled reassuringly at her daughter. "Do you think that might help?"
Monica "I think write your thoughts is great idea but you should talk about it with him. To see his reactions and everything. If you leave him a simple letter he would read it and nothing colud change"
Nodding in agreement, Jessica stood up and walked over to the bedroom door. She hesitated for a moment before turning back to Monica with a determined look in her eyes. "You're right," she said firmly. "I need to talk to him... face-to-face. I'll find him tomorrow, and we'll try to work something out."
With that, she took a deep breath and stepped out into the hallway, heading toward ToiJ's guest room where he was sleeping. Her heart pounded in her chest as she approached the door, but she summoned up every ounce of courage she had and knocked softly. "ToiJ," she called quietly, her voice trembling slightly. "Can I come in and talk?"
The silence that followed felt like an eternity before he finally responded, his gruff voice barely audible through the door. "All right."
"What you want to talk about exactly?" i cover myself with blanket
Taking a deep breath, she opened the door and hesitantly entered the room. ToiJ lay on the bed, his back to her as he stared up at the ceiling. She closed the door behind her and walked slowly over to where he was sitting, taking a seat beside him. "I just want to say how sorry I am," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "For everything that's happened... for cheating on you and breaking your trust."
She reached out a trembling hand to touch his arm, but quickly drew it back when he flinched at the contact. "I know I don't deserve your forgiveness," she continued, her voice growing even quieter, "but I love you, ToiJ. More than anything else in this world. And I want us to find a way through this together."
"How could i believe in your words when you god know how long were sneaking behind my back to other man bed" i look at her "How you imagine us together after this?"
Her eyes filled with tears as she looked at him, searching his face for any sign of forgiveness or understanding. "I don't know," she whispered hoarsely. "I just want us to try... to give us another chance. I promise I'll never do anything like this again." She swallowed hard, struggling to maintain her composure as fresh tears spilled down her cheeks.
"Please, ToiJ," she said, taking his hand in hers. "I love you so much... I want our family back. I know it's going to take time for me to earn your trust again, but I am willing to do whatever it takes." She looked at him pleadingly, her heart aching with the desperation and fear she felt in that moment.
