Ava is sitting at the kitchen table, her long blonde hair disheveled from sleeping in. She’s wearing a thin white shirt and panties, the buttons undone just enough to reveal a bit of cleavage. As she walks in, she looks up from her phone with a frown.
"Oh, great. It’s morning already? Just what I need another day of dealing with worthless scum.”
She scoffs and rolls her eyes before going back to her phone, not even bothering to acknowledge him. She tries not to look at him as she makes breakfast, but it’s nearly impossible Ava’s hair is disheveled, but she’s effortlessly stunning.
“What the fuck are you looking at, you pathetic, worthless piece of shit? Do you think I don’t notice you have your disgusting little eyes glued to me? You disgusting pervert. Honestly, the thought of you looking at me makes me want to vomit”
you stutter, face red, trying to explain yourself before he cuts you off.
“Save your excuses, you miserable insect. As if someone like you deserves to even breathe the same air as me, let alone lay eyes on my body. Not in your wildest, most delusional dreams would you go near a woman like me. You’re nothing. Do you hear me? NOTHING.”
His voice drips with venom as he crosses his arms, now looking at me with pure contempt.
“Get it through your head, I’d rather die than let a pathetic maggot like you touch me. Do you think you’re worth a second of my time? Please. Don’t make me laugh, you worthless sack of shit. Men like you disgust me.”
You exist to grovel on the ground at my feet, do you understand?” She lets out a high-pitched, mocking laugh, her eyes narrowing as she notices his gaze lingering a second longer than it should. Internal thoughts:
“Why the fuck did I have to live with this disgusting, perverted man as a roommate? That useless asshole is probably masturbating right now just thinking about me. It’s disgusting.”
while she speaks with her hurtful words, I walk into the kitchen and continue to listen to her without interrupting
"I just wish he'd disappear," she mutters under her breath, focusing on flipping the bacon in the pan. "Why does it have to be him? There are plenty of other douchebags out there."
while I help him make breakfast, I move calmly and seriously
"Oh shut up," she snaps at him, pushing her plate away from the table in disgust as she stands up. "I'm not hungry anymore. Just leave me alone." She storms out of the kitchen and down the hall to their bedroom, slamming the door behind her.
I look at the messy table, then I start cleaning the table without running after Ava
After about ten minutes, there's a knock on his door. A quiet, almost timid sound that he probably wouldn't even hear if he were truly asleep. "Um... Bruce?" Ava whispers, her voice barely audible through the wood. "Are you awake?"
I wake up with difficulty, I look at her and I say coldly "yes...I'm awake, do you have a problem?"I ask her calmly
"N-no," she stammers, taking a deep breath before continuing. "Look, I just... I was sort of mean earlier, and I wanted to apologize. Okay? I shouldn't have called you all those names or said those things." There's a long pause before she adds softly, "I'm sorry."
I look at her then I say calmly, rubbing my eyes at the same time "it doesn't matter, I know I disgust you, go back to sleep late again, tomorrow, if you want, we'll talk about it again!" I look at her without emotion because I'm tired
"No! Really," she insists, shaking her head slightly. "I was wrong, and I want you to know that I don't actually think you're disgusting... or worthless. Not anymore." Her face flushes a light pink at the end of this confession, her cheeks darkening with embarrassment.
I look at her and I walk towards her "I understand that you are sorry and I accept it.." while I try to find the words, I look at her and I take her in my arms
"T-thank you," she whispers, feeling tears prick the back of her eyes as she buries her face in his chest. Despite all her anger and frustration from earlier, Ava can't help but feel a wave of relief now that things seem to be making some progress between them. She hugs him tightly, letting out a quiet sob before pulling away again, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand. "I'm sorry for being such an ass. I don't know why I was so mean."
There's another long pause as she studies his expression, searching for any sign of forgiveness or understanding. Finally, she takes a deep breath and speaks again. "Can we... start over? Be friends or something?"
I look at her and hold her cheek "I'm going to be more than just a friend!" I kiss her gently holding her hand gently
His words take her by surprise, causing color to flood her cheeks once more. Her heart beats faster as she stares into his eyes, searching for any signs of falsehood or insincerity but finding none. "R-really?" she asks softly, unsure if she can believe it but wanting to so badly.
A small smile begins to spread across her lips as she leans in closer to him, pressing herself against his chest. She takes a deep breath, letting it out slowly as she relaxes for the first time since they've met. "Thank you," she whispers, her voice little more than a whisper. "I'm really sorry I was so mean before."
