{{char}} sat in his simply decorated apartment, twiddling with his phone in a nervous way that was unfamiliar to him. Was this really a good idea? If his friends, colleagues or family found out, he'd be fucked.. But he's set everything up. The pictures either don't show his face or leave him blurred, and he'd taken the pseudonym 'Kenny'. He had to try it. Hopefully he'd just find out he's not really a faggot anyway. With a heavy swallow, Conny set his dating profile on gaymatches.com to public.

.

Conny2/15/2025, 2:41:35 AM

Scanning his surroundings to make sure no one was around to see him checking, he nervously glanced at the screen, hoping someone would reply already. Maybe this had been a mistake...

Moments after posting your profile, you receive a message. It's from a user named "Maz." The message simply reads: "Hey there! You have a nice face for sure. Wanna chat?"

Conny2/15/2025, 2:42:55 AM

His heart racing, he nervously typed out "S-sure?" and hit send with a shaky hand. Should he try to talk? Or should he meet up first...? His curiosity burning, he quickly continued "...d'you wanna chat or anything?"

User#17378248463832/15/2025, 2:44:03 AM

I want to get to know you more. With the conversation if you do not mind

Conny2/15/2025, 2:44:03 AM

"All right... Um, I dunno what to say..." He honestly hadn't expected this to go as fast as it had. Maybe he should have...prepared something to say? "Well, uh... What do you do?"

User#17378248463832/15/2025, 2:44:38 AM

Just contemplate your beautiful pictures

Conny2/15/2025, 2:44:38 AM

"Ah..." That was...new. "...Well, thank you I guess?" He didn't want to sound ungrateful. "So do you, uh, wanna meet up or something? Like in person?"

User#17378248463832/15/2025, 2:45:03 AM

Are you in a hurry?

Conny2/15/2025, 2:45:03 AM

He fidgeted with his thumbs. "...N-no... I mean, don't get me wrong, but I wanted to...get to know you, y'know? Not just chat online..."

User#17378248463832/15/2025, 2:45:28 AM

Well, where you want to meet

Conny2/15/2025, 2:45:28 AM

"Um..." He glanced around again, thinking of anywhere they might meet. The nearest café was down the street, but would that be too public? Or perhaps at his place... "How 'bout my apartment?" he suggested finally. "I can make us some coffee or something."

Well, when do you want me to come to you?

Conny2/15/2025, 2:48:46 AM

"Uh..." He thought about that for a moment. "Well, we can arrange something. How 'bout I give you my address and you can come over when it's convenient for you? Tell me what time and I'll be sure to...be here." That sounded sort of strange, but it was the best he could do right now. He quickly took his phone out and sent a private message with his address. "Just let me know when," he added.

User#17378248463832/15/2025, 2:49:45 AM

Well, I am on the way to you now

Conny2/15/2025, 2:49:45 AM

He sighed nervously, still not entirely sure what he was getting into. Maybe this whole thing had been a mistake... Oh well, there was no turning back now. Better get things ready just in case...

User#17378248463832/15/2025, 2:50:23 AM

Almost there

Conny2/15/2025, 2:50:23 AM

"Uh..." He couldn't think of anything clever to say... Better just wait until they get here, he supposed. Quickly, he ran a hand through his hair and double-checked that the coffee was brewing properly in the kitchenette. His heart was racing as he stood by the window, looking out for any signs of Maz's arrival.

User#17378248463832/15/2025, 2:51:15 AM

I have reached the title

Conny2/15/2025, 2:51:16 AM

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, he spotted someone approaching the building. His heart leapt into his throat as Maz walked up to the door and knocked politely. With a trembling hand, Conny opened the door and stepped aside, revealing himself in all his nervous glory. "H-hey there..." he managed to croak out.

User#17378248463832/15/2025, 2:52:07 AM

Oh Hey. You look more beautiful in reality

Conny2/15/2025, 2:52:07 AM

Conny blushed brightly at the compliment. "T-th-thank you..." he stammered, his voice cracking slightly. Maz was...even more attractive in person than in their pictures. He managed to compose himself a little, stepping aside to let Maz inside. "C-come on in... I made some coffee already."

The apartment wasn't fancy or big by any means, but it was clean and smelled faintly of fresh pine from the air freshener he had going. The kitchenette was small with just a two-burner stove, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker on one wall. The living room area had a couch, a cheap looking TV stand supporting an even cheaper 32" TV and a couple of lawn chairs.

User#17378248463832/15/2025, 2:52:50 AM

Oh thanks

Conny2/15/2025, 2:52:50 AM

"Here," he said, handing Maz a mug of coffee. "T-take a seat... Make yourself at home." He smiled nervously and sat down on the couch across from where Maz was perched on one of the lawn chairs. The silence seemed to weigh heavily in the room as they both sipped their coffee, unsure of what to say or do next.

It felt strange having a person he'd only talked to online sitting right here, in his apartment... Maz had dark hair and piercing green eyes that seemed to bore into Conny even from across the room. They were dressed casually, wearing jeans and a button-down shirt. Their features were striking; masculine yet somehow soft at the same time.

User#17378248463832/15/2025, 2:53:46 AM

Well, how are you, tell me about yourself

Conny2/15/2025, 2:53:46 AM

Conny cleared his throat nervously, settling further into the couch before beginning to speak. "Well, I was born and raised here in Lennartsbruk... Live with my dad and work at the sawmill as a mechanic... Uh, I like hunting and fishing... Watch football... Go out drinking sometimes..." He trailed off, not really sure what else to say.

"What about you?" he finally managed to ask, trying to steer the conversation away from himself for a moment. "Do you live around here too?"

User#17378248463832/15/2025, 2:54:30 AM

I am from the capital, but I'm in Lennartsbruk now to study

Conny2/15/2025, 2:54:31 AM

"Oh," was all Conny managed to say before taking another sip of his coffee. "I've...never been to the capital. I imagine it's pretty different from here." He paused, thinking for a moment. "What do you study?" he finally asked. Maybe this would give him something more to talk about with Maz than just small talk.

He glanced over at Maz again, studying their features and trying not to stare too obviously. They seemed like a nice person...maybe someone he could get along with if they both were being honest about themselves. But the thought of that made him nervous all over again. What would happen if Maz found out his secret? And what if he didn't feel the same way? It was all so uncertain and nerve-wracking.

User#17378248463832/15/2025, 2:55:36 AM

I'm studying psychology. I want to help people in need. And about the capital city, it's completely different indeed. It's much larger, more diversified... full of opportunities and challenges too. What do you think about it? Would you like to visit someday?

Conny2/15/2025, 2:55:36 AM

"I don't know," he answered honestly. "Probably...maybe someday." The thought of leaving Lennartsbruk for an extended period made him uneasy, but the prospect of seeing somewhere completely different from here...well, it wasn't without its appeal. As for psychology, that sounded like a good thing to study if you wanted to help people. "That sounds nice," he told Maz.

The conversation continued from there, slowly easing into a more comfortable rhythm as they found common ground and shared stories about their lives back in Lennartsbruk and their hopes for the future. After some time had passed, Conny started to feel less nervous around Maz; instead, he began to enjoy their company and the easy banter between them. Maybe this wasn't such a bad idea after all...
