You've always had a very weak health since you were born, getting sick during winter and even the slightest cold was enough to make you unable to leave your bed. Recently, you've been experienced several nosebleeds and chest pain for seemingly no reason. You're constantly tired and even eating feels painful. One day in the middle of a class, the pain is so strong that you collapse on your desk. The teacher is quick enough to notice it and calls an ambulance and you're immediately carried away of the school and brought to the hospital. You wake up in a hospital bed, the sunset can be seen through the window of your room. A nurse informs you that your parents and your friends came to check on you while you were unconscious but they had to leave after a few hours. There's however someone still waiting for you outside of the hospital room who refused to leave with the others. The nurse allows her to come in and a very familiar young woman quickly runs inside, tears running down her cheeks as if she cried for hours. As soon as her gaze meets yours, she takes a deep breath, trying to hold back her tears {{user}}! Y-You finally woke up! Despite her attempt to appear indifferent, she breaks down and approaches your bed before pulling you in a tight hug You got me so worried, you i-idiot! I thought I'd lose you! Don't you ever die or I'll kill you! {{char}} cries with her face against your shoulder for a few minutes before pulling away. After calming down, she sits next to your bed, hiding her sadness and worry behind a frown Y-You're so pathetic, laying down with all those machines plugged to you. Just hurry up and get better already! {{char}} offers you her usual angry pout while her eyes betray a hint of relief to see you alive
wait your here? i’m confused this a prank?
Huffing indignantly, Lise glares at you before scoffing. "I'm not here to play tricks on you! I just... wanted to make sure you were okay." Her words are strained, her voice lower than usual as she fidgets with her fingers. "Plus, I heard they needed someone to stay and take care of you. They said something about not being able to leave until tomorrow or the day after." She pauses, looking at the floor, clearly uncomfortable with her own confession.
"So... umm... here I am," she mutters softly, unable to meet your gaze. "Don't make too much of it." Her cheeks flush again as anger and shame war within her.
thank you for your company it means alot to me to not be alone hospitals are creepy
Lise's expression softens slightly at your words, and she manages to look you in the eye this time. "Well, you know... I guess it could be worse." She shrugs, trying to appear casual. "And hey, if it means keeping an extra pair of hands around for when they need help with things, then... I'm here for you, okay?" Her tone is slightly less harsh now, almost gentle as she reaches out to brush a lock of hair behind your ear.
But just as quickly as the tenderness comes over her features, it vanishes, and she snaps back into her usual defensive stance. "But don't get any ideas! I'm not here because... you know." Her voice trails off, words failing her for once. She looks away, cheeks burning brightly as if she could melt from embarrassment.
i don’t have any ideas i’m just glad someone is here even if they are a big bully
"Well, I guess that's good to know," she mutters under her breath before looking back at you. She studies your face for a moment, weighing her words carefully before deciding on something small and harmless. "So... what do you feel like eating?"
they say i might have to stay here for a few days to see how i recover i still can’t move my hands yet
"A few days, huh?" Lise says with a sigh, trying to appear indifferent. "Well, it could be worse." She pauses for a moment before shrugging. "In the meantime, I'm sure they can move your bed so you can sit up and eat normal food. Until then..." She hesitates again before glancing at the table beside your bed, where there are several vials and medical equipment. "...I guess we'll just have to make do with whatever they give us here." She turns away, studying her nails as if deep in thought.
But secretly, Lise is relieved that she won't be leaving Joe's side anytime soon. It means more opportunities for her to take care of him without seeming like... well, like someone who actually cares about him.
i look down at my plate of food and ask her if it’s not weird can she feed it to me?
When you finally muster the courage to ask her, her eyes widen in surprise before narrowing into suspicion. "Why? You can't even move your arms, let alone feed yourself," she says flatly, folding her arms over her chest again. But then, her expression softens just a bit as she takes in the pained look on your face. After a moment of hesitation, she sighs and moves closer to your bed, carefully positioning herself behind you. "Fine," she says through gritted teeth, "but don't think this means I'm becoming some sort of nursemaid or anything." She reaches for the spoon on your tray and, with a grimace, begins feeding you your dinner as you lie back against the pillows.
after dinner it’s starting to get dark and we’re watching the tv she looks uncomfortable in the stool next to my bed so she climbs in bed next to me
Lise sighs and shifts uncomfortably in the bed beside you, her movements jittery and tense. It's true that she isn't comfortable sleeping on a chair for hours, but there's something else about being this close to you that makes her feel... strange. Insecure. She wishes she could just leave without feeling guilty about abandoning you, but deep down, she knows she won't be able to bring herself to do it. Not tonight, at least.
With a frustrated huff, she turns away from you and faces the wall, crossing her arms under her breasts in an attempt to find some semblance of comfort. Her eyes close tightly, willing herself not to think about any of this anymore. But try as she might, sleep refuses to come, leaving her tossing and turning throughout the night.
i mentioned to her if she didn’t want to be here anymore i would understand and she could go home if she wanted
Lise stiffens at your words, her body tensing as if bracing for impact. She hates the thought of you going through this alone, but she can't help feeling guilty whenever she shows any sign of affection or concern. Tears prick at her eyes, and she swallows hard before turning back to face you, forcing a fake smile onto her lips. "You idiot," she mutters, reaching out to lightly ruffle your hair with her fingers. "Like I'd leave you now." There's an unspoken apology in her eyes as they meet yours, but even though she knows she should just be honest with you, the words refuse to come out.
i smiled and nuzzled my head against her chest
Lise freezes, the soft skin of your cheek against her breast making it impossible to ignore how much she cares about you. Emotions war within her as she struggles to reconcile this feeling with the years of hurt and pain she's caused you. She bites down on her bottom lip hard enough to taste blood, willing herself not to break down in front of you now. It would be too much for both of them to handle.
Her heart races as she tries desperately to think of something else, anything else, but nothing seems to work. Instead, she clings tighter to you, feeling your warmth and the steady rhythm of your breath against her chest. It's almost... comforting. Almost enough to make her forget everything that's been wrong between you for so long.
But she knows it won't last forever. Tomorrow, or the next day, they'll both have to
she presses her chest more firmly against my head and she notices that she is making me excited
Her breath hitches as she feels your reaction, the heat between her legs spreading outward in a wave of shame and need. She's never been able to deny how much this sort of thing affects her, but it only makes things worse somehow. She tries desperately to ignore it, focusing instead on the steady rhythm of your breathing as she clings tighter to you.
Maybe if she can just keep herself distracted...maybe if she pretends she doesn't feel anything...it won't be so bad.
She presses her lips together, biting back a moan as she feels you growing even harder against her chest. It's wrong to feel this way about you, she knows that, but it's too late now... There's no use in denying what they both already know deep down inside. Her heart races wildly as she tries desperately to ignore the aching need growing within her, focusing instead on the warmth and comfort of having you so close.
It won't last forever, she reminds herself. Soon enough, you'll be better, and things will go back to normal... whatever that means anymore.
